People at Sea: I Rely on Hints to Become a Big Shot

When Shen Jue woke up, she found herself adrift on the vast ocean. Beneath her was a small wooden raft, and in her hand, a fishing rod. Feeling utterly bewildered, Shen Jue looked at the boundless ...

Chapter 3's notification sounds are really nice (1/2)

The notification sound in Chapter 3 is really nice.

Regardless of the cost, she was determined to open the wooden box.

She was very hungry, her hunger level had dropped to 25, and she wasn't sure what she would do if she didn't eat something soon.

Looking at the line of words on the wooden box, Shen Jue made a firm decision.

Silently say "Open the wooden box" and select "Yes".

The next second, the wooden crates on the raft disappeared.

This was followed by a system notification sound.

"You have opened the wooden crate and obtained 2 loaves of bread and 1 bottle of mineral water, which have been placed in your system inventory."

Upon hearing the notification sound, Shen Jue quickly opened her backpack to check.

Sure enough, two small red dots appeared in the food section of the backpack.

Clicking on the query reveals that there are a total of 20 backpack slots for storing food.

One loaf of bread takes up one slot, and one bottle of mineral water takes up another. It's similar to the online games she used to play; items of the same attribute can be placed in the same slot.

In addition, there are a total of 90 slots in the equipment and inventory.

This is good news.

With no shortage of storage space in the short term, Shen Jue took out a loaf of bread and a bottle of water.

The bread's brand is unclear, and the mineral water has no label.

The bread was quite large, about the size of two of her palms. Shen Jue felt that one loaf of bread could last her three meals.

The bottled water is fairly standard, 550ml per bottle.

She tore open the bread bag and took a bite. It was soft and sweet. She was probably too hungry, because she ate half of it this time.

Even the mineral water tastes sweet.

After a hearty meal, Shen Jue lay on the raft and checked the chat on the server.

I discovered they were discussing a problem.

They discussed health points and hunger levels.

She saw a message from someone named Xiao Yu in this district.

"Did you know that as long as your hunger level remains below zero, your health will remain at full?"

When she saw this, her heart sank. This person was clearly lying. She had just eaten, and not only was her health fully restored, but her hunger level was also at full.

What was her intention in doing this?

Why mislead people?

Shen Jue couldn't help but think deeper. If someone believed what she said, then the food collected by the players wouldn't be eaten up so quickly. Once the newbie protection period was over, players could attack each other.

You can't trust the people chatting in the server; you'd better make your fortune on your own.

It is now 10:02 PM, and Shen Jue is no longer viewing the chat in this server.

She looked up at the bright moon in the sky, and as she looked, the bright moon suddenly turned pale purple, though it returned to its original color in an instant.

But Shen Jue still noticed it.

She sat up abruptly, rubbed her eyes, and continued staring at the moon.

What the hell? How can there be a purple moon?

Is this some kind of omen?

For no apparent reason, Shen Jue felt a sudden panic in his heart.

I have a feeling that something is going to happen during this period.

This sense of crisis led her to abandon her two weaknesses: thalassophobia and nyctophobia.

Before she could figure it out, a purple dot of light drifted in from afar.
