After putting the things away, Li Zhenzhen and Chen Jiaojiao went to the cafeteria to get food. On the way, Li Zhenzhen repeated what she had said to Chen Jiaojiao to her, so that she would be aware of what she had said and not say anything she shouldn't.
Chen Jiaojiao felt admiration in her heart. What her mother said made her realize that even though they lived in the central area, they still had to be careful and depend on other people's opinions to make a living.
Even if her father and aunt inquired, they wouldn't be able to find any difference in her explanation.
"Aren't you supposed to have a temper? If your father and aunt ask you anything and you don't know what to say, just throw a tantrum. Anyway, your husband just died not long ago, your new boyfriend is a jerk, and the Mo family is gossiping about you. In this situation, even if you throw a tantrum at them, they'll just think you're emotionally unstable and won't say anything. But if you let something slip and these two elderly people with mobility issues start clinging to you, then you'll be responsible for their food, drink, and daily needs from now on." Li Zhenzhen thought of Jiaojiao's willful and unreliable nature and gave her a stern instruction.
Chen Jiaojiao readily agreed. She was willful and capricious, but only if it brought her happiness, not two old men she had to serve.
When her father and aunt weren't around, her feelings for them were stronger, but now that they were reunited, Chen Jiaojiao felt that the busy morning alone was enough.
After dinner, they went to the dormitory where Chen Niansheng and Chen Ziyue used to live and moved their personal belongings into their new home.
After cleaning and tidying up the house inside and out, it was already three or four in the afternoon. Li Zhenzhen and her daughter then took them to the public bathhouse and let the two siblings take a long bath.
Chen Jiaojiao felt tired and didn't want to wait any longer, so Li Zhenzhen told her to go to the cafeteria to eat first, and then go back by herself.
When Chen Ziyue and her brother came out of the bathhouse one after the other, only Li Zhenzhen was left waiting outside.
The three of them went to the cafeteria for another meal. Li Zhenzhen took the two of them back to their new homes, left them some points tickets, and was about to say goodbye when Chen Ziyue got up to see her off. The two of them walked out together.
It was already night, and there weren't many people out and about under the streetlights in the outer area.
Chen Ziyue and Li Zhenzhen walked quietly for a while before Chen Ziyue spoke up: "I've been hearing the name of the base commander here for a while, and it sounds familiar. Mo Qing, isn't that the young master of the Mo family that we know?"
Li Zhenzhen glanced at Chen Ziyue, who was a few inches shorter than before, and said, "Your memory is still so good. Yes, it's him."
Li Ke did not see Chen Ziyue and her brother move into the central area until she set off with the advance team, and Li Zhenzhen and Chen Jiaojiao's lives did not seem to be affected.
On both occasions when Li Ke saw Li Zhenzhen, she seemed to have something to say, but Li Ke was busy with the departure and ignored her because of her indecisiveness.
The leader of this team was an elder of the Mo family, Mo Bao'er's great-uncle Mo Yingwu. Mo Bao'er and Mo Cheng were learning from him.
Mo Zuo wanted Li Ke to lead a small team, but Li Ke refused outright, saying she preferred to work alone. Mo Zuo let her have her way and asked her to take care of Mo Bao'er, the young lady.
