Chapter 32 Shopping List

When they reached a deserted section of the road, Li Ke drove the car into a grove of trees and put it away. He then released the motorcycle and rode it to the next town.

When they entered the town, it was neither too early nor too late, just around dinnertime. Li Ke drove his motorcycle around the town for a bit and finally stopped in front of a guesthouse.

Li Ke went inside and booked a room. The other party asked to check his ID card, which he calmly handed over. The host was an elderly woman, but given Li Ke's current status and age, it would be better to call her "Auntie." She smiled and asked, "Young man, what brings you here?"

Li Ke disguised her face, with her hair covering half of her forehead and her mask pulled down to half her chin so the other person could verify her identity. The aunt glanced at it and handed her ID card back.

Li Ke noticed that she hadn't even entered her identity information, and he felt both relieved and disappointed. He actually wanted to check if the ID card had any criminal record.

"Just riding around and having some fun, to relax," Li Ke replied casually, her voice slightly low as she concealed a voice changer under her mask.

The auntie smiled and led the way, saying, "It's good to run around more. If I were younger, I would have learned from you young people too."

Li Ke smiled and said, "Auntie has a good attitude."

In the evening, the aunt brought over dinner. Li Ke asked her if there were any large farmers' markets or fairs nearby. The old woman told her a few, and Li Ke wrote them all down.

After finishing her meal, Li Ke began inputting addresses and researching routes. Of course, she used her new phone and anonymous number throughout the journey.

Having made her plan, Li Ke sent Zhou Heng another message, telling him that she had to go out, but he could continue his investigation in the meantime, and she would pay him based on the results.

Half an hour later, the other party replied with a curt "okay," and then the two stopped contacting each other.

The next day, Li Ke also left the small town early in the morning and headed to the farmers' market ten miles away. After meeting the person who made the certificate, Li Ke learned a lot. She felt that she had been too cautious and that sometimes she should be a little more reckless.

The shop owner frowned more and more as he looked at the list in front of him. He immediately took out his own inventory list and said, "Sir, do you really need such a large quantity of goods? I see you're alone. Did you bring the wrong list? This is our list. Please see if there's anything you need."

Looking at the other party's order, Li Ke felt a headache just like her boss looking at his own. Many items were simply replaced with product numbers, which she neither understood nor found helpful.

Li Ke stroked his chin and said directly, "How much will it cost if I clear out all the goods and inventory in your store? This list of item numbers won't do. Just give me a list of the product names and quantities, then we'll calculate the total. When can I get the results?"

The shop owner across from him was a middle-aged man in his fifties. He looked at Li Ke, seemingly not having heard what he said clearly. However, the shop owner's wife walked over and said with a smile, "It's early in the morning, young man, and you're already joking around. Look at you, riding a motorcycle all by yourself, trying to buy out all my goods. It's only because my husband, Lao Liu, didn't kick you out that he's being kind."

Li Ke was already feeling that she had been too reckless this time, but she made herself appear even calmer. She said, "I have a convoy, but I haven't notified them to come yet. Boss, I'm buying these for a big boss to do charity. Your goods must be of guaranteed quality and authenticity. I'm sincerely looking to buy them."

After saying that, Li Ke took a bag off the motorcycle, brought it to the shop, and opened the lid to show the owners: "This is two million yuan, which is the deposit the boss gave me. I'll place the order here, pack it up, and then inform the boss of the total price. The trucking team will come to settle the payment and take the goods away."
