"It's nothing! It was all my own choice. I want to apologize to my sister-in-law." Gu Ningning pursed her lips, feeling wronged, and said in a low voice, "Uncle Chen, please don't worry about it. It was all my fault. It's only right that my sister-in-law is angry and punishing me."

The housekeeper was taken aback for a moment, but felt that things couldn't go on like this, so he walked towards the living room, thinking that he should inform Gu Qingyan.

As they walked into the living room, they bumped into Chairman Gu and his wife walking in.

"Chairman Gu, what brings you here?" The butler was somewhat surprised, his words stammering. They generally wouldn't appear here; the last time they came was right after Gu Qingyan and Shen Zhi Qiu's wedding.

"Where is Gu Qingyan?" Gu Suian didn't answer his question, but asked directly where his son was.

He and his wife rushed over as soon as they heard that Shen Zhi Qiu had returned. They were still holding a grudge; such a big thing hadn't been communicated to them by their own son, but they had found out from someone else instead, which made them quite angry.

"Young Master has gone out," the butler bowed respectfully and replied.

Just as the housekeeper was hesitating whether to tell them about the farce that had just happened, Gu Ningning, covered in mud, stormed in from the garden, looking furious.

"Ningning?!" Mu Ziqi was the first to see her, and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise at her disheveled appearance.

"What happened?" Gu Suian asked coldly. "How did it get like this?"

Shen Zhi Qiu and the others at the garden entrance obviously heard Gu Suian's voice, so they put away their phones and turned to walk over.

Gu Ningning pursed her lips, her mind racing, and then looked at them with reddened eyes, "Uncle, I'm fine. I just accidentally fell and got myself dirty."

Shen Zhi Qiu paused, giving Gu Ningning a meaningful look. She had assumed Gu Ningning would ask Gu Suian to back her up. Although they doted on their daughter-in-law, given the current situation, if Gu Ningning tearfully recounted her actions, it was hard to say whether Gu Suian and the others wouldn't side with her, after all, they were blood relatives. "Mom, I'm here." The voice came from not far behind Gu Ningning.

Mu Ziqi and Gu Suian then looked in that direction. Behind Gu Ningning was a long corridor, and the paintings blocked their view, so they did not see Shen Zhi Qiu at first.

Shen Zhi Qiu and Zhou Xiao Ran slowly walked over. Shen Zhi Qiu smiled gently, as if the matter really had nothing to do with her.

"Mom, I just saw Ningning fall and get all dirty. Let her go upstairs to take a shower first, and I'll go get her some clothes. There are a lot of clothes we ordered that she hasn't worn yet, so I'll go pick some out for her."

Gu Ningning lowered her head, suppressed a resentful smile, and unconsciously clenched her fist behind her skirt.

"Look how good your sister-in-law is to you! You can't be so willful anymore!" Once she reached the second floor and saw that no one could hear her, Gu Ningning curled the corners of her lips and said, "Then I'll go to Wanqing's room on the second floor to shower."

Shen Zhi Qiu shrugged indifferently and said, "Then you go ahead, I'll go get your clothes."

After saying that, he took Zhou Xiaoran upstairs.

Seeing that she was so calm, Gu Ningning clenched her fists even tighter.

When she came out after washing up, she found that Shen Zhi Qiu had already put her clothes on the bed.

She glanced at it and immediately frowned.

She opened the wardrobe and searched through it, but found no of Xiao Wanqing's clothes. She looked around carefully and discovered that the room showed no signs of having been occupied; it seemed Gu Qingyan had had everything cleared out.

Gu Ningning pursed her lips, looking at the clothes she had "kindly" given to Shen Zhi Qiu on the bed, and gritted her teeth in anger. But at this moment she had no choice; she couldn't very well wear the clothes she had just changed out of.

When Gu Ningning finished tidying up and came down, Gu Suian only glanced at the figure on the stairs and held his breath, wondering what the hell this thing was.

Gu Ningning was wearing an extremely tight red patterned knit top, with many strips of cloth stuck to it, making it look rather grotesque. It also seemed too small, causing her somewhat thick arms to clench stiffly. Her lower body was adorned with a bright green mini-skirt, decorated with several large, bright yellow embroidered flowers at the waist, making it look like a bizarre traffic light—utterly hideous.
