Chapter 221 Reflections

In this world, not everyone has a smooth life; it's all about how you deal with it. For example, if someone bumps into you while you're walking and apologizes, you might still feel angry. But you might not realize that the person who bumped into you is actually feeling worse than you. Remember the saying, "Whether you're happy or unhappy, it's still a day, so why not be happy every day?"

If thinking about something makes you feel bad, then try not to think about it. If you still can't stop thinking about it, then keep yourself busy so you don't have time to think about it. Make the most of every minute. Also, don't linger in bed after you wake up in the morning. Get up, get busy, open the window, breathe in the fresh morning air, relax your whole body, and imagine yourself as a happy little angel...

Everyone has their own book, the somber or brilliant of its theme entirely dependent on the author's mood. As a child, life taught me the meaning of habit; as an adult, I understood that one must learn to break habits. The alternation of failure and success made me truly realize that failure is the mother of success, and fierce competition showed me the reality that not moving forward is falling behind. The moment a friend handed me a farewell message book, I suddenly tasted the bitterness of parting. Life is an encyclopedia; if you read it carefully, you will surely gain some insight. Having experienced the nourishment of joy and the baptism of storms, facing life should involve deeper reflection. And the result of this reflection is: from now on, I am no longer lost.

"Life is a magnificent robe, crawling with lice." (Epigraph) Quietly observing the flowers bloom and fade in the courtyard, calmly watching the clouds drift and gather in the sky. In the blink of an eye, I have lived through decades of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Yet, what I don't understand is the beauty of life. So, I hold a cup of fragrant tea and quietly ponder, reflecting on the questions that perplex me.

Life itself is neither right nor wrong, nor are the choices we make about which life to live. It's just that we, living under the same sun, should cherish the beauty of life. Like a burning candle, we should see the warm glow, not the dripping tears. I understood. I finished my tea, left the room, left that confusion, and embarked on the path of enjoying a beautiful life. From that moment on, I was no longer lost.

As the ancients said, "A thousand sails pass by the sunken ship, ten thousand trees bloom before the withered tree." Some might say that once you're lost, you'll never find your way back; others might say that once you're lost, you'll never find your way back. Is that really the case? Haven't you thought about it? Haven't you experienced it? I think not… From many things around me, I've realized that life has successes and failures. We should be grateful for both success and failure, and savor both. Finally, what's worth reflecting on and understanding is: from now on, I will no longer be lost.

A person should first make a reasonable plan for himself and set goals.

A reasonable plan is one that considers your own circumstances: what you want to do, what you like to do, and what you are capable of doing. Make plans that are realistic; if you create unrealistic plans, they become mere fantasies and lose all meaning.

Time management is crucial; don't plan too many things and end up with nothing to do. If you're unsure how to plan, write down what you want to do, then see what you can accomplish each day. Check off each achievable task one by one, experiencing the joy of completion. The moment you check off a task will boost your confidence and make you excited to move on to the next one.

Finally, after a period of time, consider what you enjoy doing and what you are capable of accomplishing. Use a selection process to choose a few items and stick with them.

The only thing a person can obtain without effort is their ideal—what kind of person do you want to become? Ask yourself this question carefully. Don't be afraid to waste time thinking about goals and plans; the real problem is thinking about them but never daring to start. From now on, think carefully, and then make plans and set goals.

Focus now, do it right away! The worst thing is to think too much and do too little. Thinking a lot without taking action is useless; just like the saying "action speaks louder than words," you can only go further by taking the first step!

In life, there are always things that constantly affect us. For example, you decide to read a book, but after a while, you want to get a drink of water, then you want to eat something, and you can always think of other things to do, making it impossible to concentrate on finishing the book. Therefore, we need to cut off this source of distraction.

If you're going to read, then read properly. Tell yourself that once you've finished reading for one hour or forty-five minutes, you'll do something else. Only when you focus on doing something does it become meaningful. If you're just trying to kill time, then there's absolutely no need for you to pretend to be focused.

During this time, I kept asking myself questions, and eventually decided to live life to the fullest. To live life to the fullest means, no matter how life is going, first figuring out what the central theme is, or recording my life—how I feel today, what the weather is like—putting myself in the reader's shoes, and asking myself if I can understand the central idea I want to express. I feel like I have something to write about every day now, and I always have so much to express. This proves that whatever you do, you have to persevere with dedication to see changes.

Go to bed early, get up early, and don't stay up late. Don't be curious why I'm putting this health advice here. Only with a healthy body can you do other things and achieve your lofty ideals.

Try to go to bed early and wake up early, and avoid staying up late unless absolutely necessary. Everyone knows the dangers of staying up late. In recent years, too many incidents of staying up late have occurred, including sudden death from staying up late, working to death, and neglecting one's health. In such cases, dreams are basically just empty talk.

If you frequently stay up late, try going to bed earlier. Go to bed an hour earlier each day until you're asleep before your usual 11 PM. Some people say, "I'm in bed early every morning, but I can't fall asleep!" What a joke! Can't sleep? It's because your phone is right next to you, and it's fully charged! Put your phone away, close your eyes, and let your mind relax and rest. You'll gradually fall asleep naturally.

You can try going to bed early; you'll find yourself more energetic and alert the next day, with more stamina for everything you do. I once heard someone say, "I stay up late so I can have an extra few hours to study compared to others."

You're essentially gambling with your health. If you get up early, you're essentially getting a few hours more than others. No matter how many nights you stay up, you're still just sleeping in a little longer in the morning.

Saying more won't help; you might as well try it yourself! Only by trying it yourself will you gain something.
