Shen Nian, a 21st-century slacker and foodie, loved nothing more than watching "My Fair Princess" every day. She had memorized all the major events and wished she could be there to "eat...
Sensing the worry in Ertai's voice, Chen Nian reluctantly opened her eyes, glanced at Ertai, raised her hand to hug Ertai's waist, shook her head, rested her head on Ertai's body, and wanted to sleep again.
She wasn't actually feeling unwell anywhere, she was just sleepy.
Are you going out to play this afternoon?
Ertai continued to ask.
"I'm done playing, I want to sleep."
Chen Nian shook his head.
I'm tired, I don't want to play anymore.
When Ertai heard that Chen Nian refused to go out and play, he really felt that something was wrong.
"Sweetie, let's eat first, then we'll go see a doctor."
After calming his worries, Ertai gently comforted the person in his arms and fed them.
"Um."
Knowing that Ertai was worried, Chen Nian did not refuse. She knew medicine herself, and when she first realized she was feeling sleepy, she examined herself and found nothing wrong. If finding a doctor would put Ertai at ease, then so be it.
After serving Chen Nian until she finished her meal, Ertai pulled the blanket tighter around her, making sure she was completely covered.
"Sweetie, sleep a little longer. Wait for me at home. I'm going to find the doctor and I'll be right back."
Ertai bent down and kissed Chennian's forehead, giving him some instructions.
"Um."
Having received a reply, Ertai wasted no time and immediately went out.
...
"Dr. Ma, could you please take a look at my wife?"
Concerned about the person in the room, Ertai quickly returned after finding the doctor.
He opened the door quietly and saw that the person inside was still asleep. Ertai lowered his voice.
Ertai led the doctor into the room and took his hand, which had been deep in thought, out of the quilt.
"Congratulations, young master! Congratulations!"
