To recover his memory and life, Xu Keke enters various eras to start a counterattack journey to demand justice for the resentful side characters of era novels.
Rehabilitation is non-existent,...
Xu Keke has always been free-spirited, and he's always known that. This is the right her family has granted her while placing responsibility on her. As far as he knows, she's always been a person of absolute authority, something her grandfather deliberately cultivated.
This is something that no one can understand. The old master of the Xu family not only did not give his son any power, but also did not cultivate him. However, he paid special attention to this granddaughter and gave her almost all of the Xu family's assets.
“If I don’t say that, Zhang Man will set her sights on you again. She’s been like this since she was little; whatever I have, she’ll find a way to take it away.”
"What did you say?" Zhou Heng frowned; he genuinely didn't understand.
Xu Keke objected, "What's so hard to understand? Even you think I still have feelings for Huang Pinjia. That means Zhang Man will cling to him desperately. I want them to be together forever. Locked in!"
Zhou Heng was stunned. It was the meaning he had assumed, but he was somewhat unsure.
"I'd like something to drink; I'm not feeling well."
Xu Keke pushed him away and sat on the sofa. Frowning, she took out her phone and started playing a game. This was a product of a regression in civilization, but there was nothing she could do; people had too much time these days and were incredibly bored.
"Where do you feel unwell? What's wrong? I'll call Wei Chi for you," Zhou Heng asked anxiously, following beside her. He had already forgotten what she had just said.
He blocked the light from his eyes, and Xu Keke pushed him away slightly, but her eyes didn't leave the screen. "You're such a fake. You're the one who drugged me and wouldn't let me move, and now you're pretending to care about me. Get me something to drink, hurry up. I feel terrible."
"How can that be the same? I only used those because I knew they wouldn't harm your body. Besides, I was just trying to scare you, I didn't actually use them on you. Stop playing around, tell me what's wrong with you."
Seeing that she still wouldn't listen and ignored him, Zhou Heng snatched her phone away. "What's wrong with you? Was there something wrong with what you drank outside? You have to tell me so Wei Chi can know what to bring."
Xu Keke glanced at him sideways, "I think there's too much dye in the wine, so I feel like I need something to drink to balance it out. You can't just stop giving me drinks because I'm broke, can you?"
If Zhou Heng still doesn't realize that Xu Keke did it on purpose, then all these years with her have been for nothing.
While he was distracted, Xu Keke snatched the phone back from his hand and continued playing her little game.
"I like how you are in the game, I don't like how you are now."
Zhou Heng, who had already walked a few steps away, turned back to look at her in shock. After a long pause, he asked, "Is it Wei Chi?"
Since Xu Keke woke up, only Wei Chi had told her anything, so only Wei Chi had revealed the secret to her. That bastard Wei Chi, I'll see how I deal with him.
Wei Chi, who was being disciplined at home by the blonde nurse, couldn't help but sneeze.
"Your eyes are about to pop out, I know you have big eyes." Xu Keke looked away from the game, rolled her eyes at him, and then looked back at the screen. "You know I like pretty boys, so why don't you choose a more delicate one when selecting your character? Every time it's a big, burly guy, and so dark-skinned."
Xu Keke shook her head, "Not pleasing to the eye at all."
Zhou Heng couldn't figure out how to face her, so he quickly hid in the kitchen. He made Xu Keke a cup of coffee and brought it out.
"I want a Coke!"
Zhou Heng resignedly went back, since Xu Keke had never drunk this kind of thing before, so he hadn't stored any. Zhou Heng mixed her a glass on the spot. When he brought it out, Xu Keke looked at him impatiently, "It's too late, I want to drink red wine now."
Zhou Heng put the cup on the table and sat down next to her. He took the phone from her hand and tossed it onto the table.
Seeing the look in his eyes, Xu Keke panicked a little. Had she gone too far? She didn't think she'd gone too far. She subconsciously took a step back, overwhelmed by Zhou Heng's intimidating presence. It gave her a feeling of being at his mercy.
"If you like pretty boys, then why did they all end up marrying me? Which of those scumbags wasn't good-looking?"
Xu Keke thought about it and realized it was true. The male protagonists in the game really did fit her aesthetic preferences. "I had a mission, you know, a mission to punish scumbags."
"Hmph," Zhou Heng sneered, looking at her with disdain, "To punish scum, you can conquer them and then abandon them, that's just as cruel, even more cruel than if you did it directly. What, is it that you don't want to, or that you can't do it?"
"You can't do it, can you? You wouldn't like someone who's just a pretty face, right? But why can't you see that in reality? He's clearly just someone who's your type, yet you keep indulging him."
"No, that's not true, okay?"
Just as Xu Keke was about to explain, the doorbell rang. Zhou Heng picked up his phone and glanced at it. "It's Mr. Xu."
This Mr. Xu refers to Xu Keke's father. "Let's ask him what he wants. He's probably here to ask Zhang Man for some favors. Is he the only one here?"
Zhou Heng knew what she was asking. "Madam Xu isn't here; he's all alone."
Xu Keke didn't want him to come in at first, but then she thought that he was, after all, her grandfather's son, so she reluctantly let Zhou Heng let him in.
Sure enough, as soon as he entered the door, without saying anything else, Xu's father asked Xu Keke, "Are you still going to resume your relationship with Huang Pinjia?"
Xu Keke was speechless. She picked up the cup and took a small sip, only to realize that she was drinking cola, and it tasted awful.
Xu Keke put down her cup, somewhat annoyed. "Can you be direct? You're beating around the bush; I don't understand what you mean. If Zhang Man wants you to probe me for information, do you think she'll believe anything I say?"
