"Auntie!"

"Good boy." Shen Wangshu told Gao Xi and Lei Tian to roll around on the big bed, and then hung the large photo she brought back from the Gao family on the wall.

She silently looked at the mother and child in the photo, listening to the two children playing quietly behind her, and her gaze darkened.

No matter how dissatisfied the Sheng family is, Gao Sen remains Gao Xi's guardian. With him around, Gao Xi cannot live with the Sheng family forever if he is unwilling or raises any issues. For Gao Xi, having such a scoundrel as Gao Sen is not a good thing.

But even if the Sheng family wanted to fight for Gao Xi's custody, it would probably be a very difficult thing. Her gaze was somewhat gloomy. She gently ran one hand across Sheng Jia's beautifully smiling face in the photo, a mocking expression on her face, and said softly, "You would never guess... perhaps, it would be good if you closed your eyes and never saw this man again."

But when he fell in love with Chu Xiangyun, he realized that nothing is as real as a genuine heartbeat.

Perhaps it would have been a blessing for Sheng Jia to die while this man was still so gentle with her. Then she wouldn't have seen her husband become anxious and unlike himself for another woman, abandoning many of the things she used to uphold.

"I will take care of Xiaoxi." Shen Wangshu touched Sheng Jia's face.

This older sister left so much of her wealth to her younger sister, and no matter the reason, Shen Wangshu would do everything in her power to protect the child she left behind.

A faint light flashed in Shen Wangshu's eyes.

Sheng Jia left all his shares in the Gao Group to her, making her a major shareholder of the company. Although her shareholding is still less than Gao Sen's, who says she can't own the Gao Group?

She still felt that someone like Gao Sen deserved to experience the taste of bankruptcy and disfigurement, and she was even more convinced that only if he were gone would Gao Xi's custody return to the Sheng family. A smile brightened on her face, clearly indicating she had considered many possible scenarios. She withdrew her hand and went to play with the two children with a beaming smile.

Her smile was gentle, and both Gao Xi and Lei Tian were captivated by it.

“Auntie looks like Mom,” Gao Xi whispered, snuggling into Shen Wangshu’s arms.

Shen Wangshu leaned against the bed, revealing a pair of long, slender legs. She had long since kicked off her high heels and was holding a children's book in her hands. However, in order to protect her little nephew's innocent first kiss, Shen Wangshu wisely pressed Sleeping Beauty into an unseen corner and began to innocently tell the two children the story of the Three Little Pigs.

But it seemed that no matter what story she told, the two children liked it. Gao Xi nestled obediently against her, while Lei Tian bit his chubby little hand for a while before shamelessly climbing into Shen Wangshu's arms.

He nuzzled Shen Wangshu's neck contentedly and buried himself in her arms.

"Is this what it feels like to be a mother?" he asked Gao Xi.

It seemed that Gao Xi also knew a lot about him, and instead of asking where this obviously strange question came from, he nodded solemnly.

"Mom!" Gao Xi nodded his little head vigorously.

The chubby boy looked up and called out, "Mommy!"

Shen Wangshu's lips twitched slightly.

That thing...

Just because you can tell fairy tales doesn't mean you can call someone "Mom."

Gao Xi is one thing, but Lei Tian calling him that is really unacceptable.

After all, he has his own mother.

"...Call me Auntie." She looked into the chubby boy's bright eyes, still reluctant to say no, and sighed as she spoke.

"Is that what Xiao Xi is called too?" Lei Tian looked at Shen Wangshu for a while and then suddenly asked.

Gao Xi thought for a moment and nodded.

Lei Tian then showed a satisfied expression, nuzzled Shen Wangshu's face like a puppy, and whispered, "Then Xiao Tian will also call her Auntie."

He seemed pleased to receive the same treatment as Gao Xi in front of Shen Wangshu, squirming and wriggling in her arms. Shen Wangshu didn't mind, watching the unconvinced Gao Xi wriggle around her as well, she hugged the two children tighter, and they nestled together on the soft cushions of the crib. She flipped through the fairy tale book in her hands, her expression content, yet she felt a gaze quietly falling upon her.

She looked up curiously and saw Lei Xuan standing at the door watching her, seemingly lost in thought.

Mr. and Mrs. Sheng stood with him, smiling. When they saw Shen Wangshu, they said with a smile, "Get up quickly."

"It's getting late, we won't disturb you any longer." Lei Xuan nodded to Shen Wangshu and beckoned to Lei Tian with his finger.

The chubby boy buried his face in Shen Wangshu's arms, pretending not to see anything.

"Lei Tian." The man's deep voice sent a chill down the chubby boy's spine.

"Why don't you eat before you leave?" The Lei Group is very powerful, who wouldn't want to be on good terms with them and help their company reach new heights? When Sheng's father saw Lei Tian's affection for Shen Wangshu, he felt very proud. After all, it's always nice to see a child so fond of Shen Wangshu, isn't it?

Moreover, after Lei Tian appeared, Gao Xin's still somewhat uneasy appearance calmed down. Sheng's father felt sorry for his grandson and was even more reluctant to let Lei Tian leave, so he smiled and said to Lei Xuan, "Mr. Lei, this is your first time visiting, so please let us do our part as hosts."
