The mall originally only had one or two entrances and exits. But with all the display windows shattered, everywhere became an exit.

Xiang Wan steeled herself and ran straight out of the mall.

Didn't you want to eat her? That big guy outside is enough to keep it busy for a while.

As Xiang Wan ran under the scorching sun, the centipede's outstretched antennae recoiled slightly upon touching the sunlight, but it did not give up the chase. Instead, it charged directly into the pillar, keeping parallel to Xiang Wan.

She had come down from a spot not far from here, and with a turn, Xiang Wan disappeared around the corner of the building next door.

Enraged, the centipede roared and, no longer caring about the sunlight, charged out, crossed the slope, and crashed into the building where the lizard was hiding.

With the concrete pillars of the building blocking the way, Xiang Wan was not caught by the centipede for a while and ran directly to the corner where the girl had been swept away.

Across the street was a residential building with its gate wide open.

The lizards hide between the buildings and residences.

The entire building was about to collapse because of the centipede. Without further hesitation, Xiang Wan picked up a large rock that was scattered nearby and threw it forward with all her might.

As soon as the lizard's large tongue swept across, Xiang Wan quickly ran forward. Halfway there, she rolled on the ground and rolled directly into the house.

The lizard angrily crushed the stone it had curled with its long tongue and tossed it aside. It was furious; its vertical eyes had shrunk to pinpoints. Tricked by the food that had gotten stuck between its teeth, ruining its hunting plans, the lizard's rage could only be vented by completely crushing Xiang Wan. Just as it stood up, before it could even move, the centipede, having reached the end of the building, recklessly burst through the wall and crashed headfirst into the lizard's belly.
