"Don't speak, come with me."

As soon as Xiang Wan stood up, she heard a middle-aged man call her from behind.

The lizard and centipede were fighting, making a huge commotion. Seeing that the house was about to collapse, going out was definitely not an option, so Xiang Wan followed the man back into the house.

Upon entering the inner room, one would see a hole in the floor with the lid open.

The middle-aged man jumped down quickly, and Xiang Wan followed suit.

As soon as I entered, the entrance was closed, and then I heard the sound of houses collapsing, strong tremors, and the roars of lizards and centipedes.

The fighting sounds from upstairs continued, and it seemed unlikely they'd be able to get out anytime soon. Xiang Wan leaned against the wall and asked the system to send her the plot details.

Originally, this was a planet conquered by humans, called Red Star. A century ago, humans discovered that this place was habitable, so they designated it as a colony and regularly sent people over to help the inhabitants develop.

This is not the only planet that has been conquered by humans, but it is the one with the closest environment to Earth.

Fifty years ago, the world's leaders designated Red Planet as an experimental base and sent numerous scientists to conduct research. However, because the experiments were too advanced and lacked adequate protective measures, the luminous particles used in the experiments leaked, causing genetic mutations in animals. The entire planet's population, including humans and animals, was wiped out by a pre-installed self-destruct nuclear weapon.

Thirty years ago, humans returned to this place and, after conducting a brief examination with their equipment, designated Red Star as a place of exile.

Those who are exiled are not necessarily the most heinous criminals, but they are certainly those whom the government cannot tolerate. Therefore, because of his parents, the original owner came here at the age of only three.

Her parents were not anti-government figures; they simply objected to the unlimited expansion of human territory.

The original owner was too young to understand these things. When she grew up a bit, her parents died in an attack by mutated animals, leaving her a palm-sized chip before they died.

The radiation on the Red Star was not completely eliminated by the forces of nature; instead, it was hidden deeper within.

Humans live on the surface of the earth and have no problem adapting to any place. However, animals such as lizards, snakes, and rats that are usually overlooked have come here from ships and have undergone mutations.

This is not the first time that a giant mutated beast has attacked a human residential area.

Previously, armed forces and defense systems had kept these behemoths out, but this time, these animals rampaged through the area without offering any basic resistance.

Many people died violent deaths, and the few who survived lived in constant fear.

The original owner was one of these survivors, searching for a way to survive alongside the other survivors.

She had never opened or looked at the chip in her hand because her parents had instructed her before they died that it should only be given to someone she could trust.

Years of fleeing had worn down the original owner's patience.

The lack of visiting ships from Akahoshi gradually led to disappointment among the remaining crew.

The original owner found an intelligent robot and used its screen to read the information.

When they learned that everyone sent there on this mission was just part of a conspiracy, despair gripped them. They began to give up, became numb, and even lost their fear of the giant beasts.

The consequences of the chips are not only the despair of these people, but also the ships sent by the Earth's leaders to annihilate them, which are densely packed throughout the entire starry sky.

They didn't give anyone a chance to speak, and immediately unleashed their most lethal weapons, turning Red Star into a lifeless dead star.

The original owner also learned about her parents' identities and what they did.

On her deathbed, the original owner had only one wish: to make all of this public so that her parents could die a worthy death.

After receiving the plot, Xiang Wan's head throbbed with pain.

The system really knows how to create trouble for her; the tasks are getting increasingly difficult. What started as a small country's affair has now jumped to the entire universe. This is a huge mess!

Before Xiang Wan could challenge the system, the middle-aged man who had previously invited her in spoke in a low voice.

"Everyone, the commotion up there isn't going to stop anytime soon. Judging from the noise, it seems they've moved to another location. Should we go out and check it out?"
