Chapter 577 Alien Battlefield (Part Two)

Grylls was silent for a moment, then said, "Alright, you stay here, I'll go out and take a look."

"I'll go too."

Xiang Wan spoke up just in time; she was getting restless.

In the original owner's memories, there was an abandoned experimental base not far from here. Once inside, those mutated creatures wouldn't be able to get in for a while.

"I'll be with you."

The speaker was a man around thirty years old. His face was obscured, but his voice revealed his age.

Grylls did not refuse, but got up and crawled into the hole.

This hole was probably dug by the owner of this house to store grain. They were in such a hurry to dig it that they didn't have time to repair the walls before they perished, and it became their hiding place.

Grylls pushed hard, but couldn't move it; he guessed it was buried by the collapsed brick wall.

Xiang Wan and the man worked together to push the exit outwards, and after a quarter of an hour, an exit that could only be passed by one person at a time was finally revealed.

"I'll go first."

Xiang Wan was short, but she was still just a child. Grylls didn't let her go out; instead, he climbed up first, moved the heavy objects, and then opened the lid, allowing the two of them to get to the ground. Before leaving, he closed the lid again to prevent the giant beast from discovering the people inside.

At night, although Red Star experiences darkness like Earth, it is not completely dark. This is because a twin star opposite it completely blocks out the sun's light.

The twin star was so close to the sun that it absorbed its light and heat, causing the side facing the sun to burn. While one side burned, the other was extremely cold, yet this residual light made the red star less dim. So much so that even walking outside at night, a flashlight was unnecessary.

Red Star is currently in its summer, which is when it is closest to the sun. If it weren't for that twin star blocking the way, this planet would probably be completely engulfed in flames.

The three of them left the house and walked in the other direction.

All along the way were ruins and broken walls, and not a single person was in sight.

Before they had gone a mile, they heard a clicking or grinding sound coming from not far away, which sounded a bit like something grinding its teeth.

Just as the three of them found a place to hide, a pair of bright red eyes, as red as lanterns, ran past them quickly.

Grylls' heart skipped a beat, and a bad feeling swept over him.
