A certain woman, for some inexplicable reason, became bound to an arrogant and deceptive system. She transmigrates into the bodies of cannon fodder characters in various worlds, fulfilling their wi...
The voice was both strange and familiar, full of affection, like the whispers of lovers.
Xiang Wan stood still, her eyes fixed on what was ahead.
"Come, let me unravel all the mysteries for you and give you justice! It is you who should be forgotten, not him!"
The blood mist churned faster and faster, and the thick blood gradually solidified, slowly forming a figure.
"Look clearly at who I am. Come, let us become one, never to be separated again for all eternity!"
The voice came from the figure, and the blood mist surged even faster.
The feet, torso, and hands gradually became clear, but the face remained blurry.
"You're looking for me, and I'm waiting for you!"
The voice emanated clearly from its body, its face sometimes clear and sometimes blurry, unable to solidify into a form. The blood mist behind it surged rapidly, seemingly becoming impatient.
Xiang Wan looked at him, and an answer was on the tip of her tongue, but she just couldn't remember it.
Why won't you let me see your face?
The crimson figure couldn't fully take shape, and it was anxious. Xiang Wan was even more anxious and couldn't help but urge it on.
A series of cracking sounds came from behind, and the blood-red figure paused, then instantly turned into a blood mist and disappeared from the spot.
"Knock knock!"
Another heartbeat sounded, this time clearer than before.
"What's that sound? It seems to be not far ahead. Should we go check it out?"
As evening approached, she subconsciously reached for her elbow, only to find it empty. She then realized that the red ball hadn't returned yet.
A sudden gust of wind blew out from the blood mist, causing Xiang Wan to stumble.
The blood mist was temporarily parted, and something seemed to be moving at the source of the strong wind.
It was dark red, because the crease healed so quickly that Xiang Wan couldn't see it clearly.
"Red ball, is that you?"
Using her voice to bolster her courage, Xiang Wan stretched out her hands and slowly walked inside.
Behind her, countless black insects, amidst the sharp cries of the golden flying insects, swarmed onto the barrier, their mouths constantly opening and closing, regardless of whether they could actually bite through it.
The sound was blocked by the barrier, so Xiang Wan naturally had no idea what was happening behind her.
Now that she's already inside, and she's not even afraid of the red ball, what else is she afraid of?
Xiang Wan would never admit that it was only because the red ball paved the way that she dared to constantly build up her mental strength and pretend to boldly explore forward.
After walking a few steps, the stickiness on my body became even thicker, as if I were wrapped in a thick film, which made me extremely uncomfortable.
Fortunately, she could still breathe, otherwise Xiang Wan would have suffocated sooner or later.
The road beneath his feet was uneven, and it wasn't until late afternoon that he realized that beneath the layer of blood covering the ground were bones!
Behind her, the blood mist gradually condensed, seemingly trying to stop the black insects from gnawing at the barrier.
The blood mist in front of her was drawn away and thinned out, allowing Xiang Wan to see clearly the distance of ten zhang ahead. The gushing blood flowed in the predetermined direction, and further ahead was blocked by a giant, bloody cocoon.
The giant cocoon stood tall in the blood, its body covered with blood vessels of varying thicknesses. As the blood flowed, the vessels continuously transported blood from bottom to top, occasionally twitching.
Even if you beat Xiang Wan to death, she never expected to see such a scene.
It's a giant, living cocoon! Inside are either worms or huge monsters. If it were to come out, her tiny body wouldn't even be enough to fill a tooth gap.
Xiang Wan sensed the world's deep malice towards her, and now she was truly in a dilemma.
"Red ball, come out quickly!"
Looking at the giant cocoon, Xiang Wan's voice unconsciously became much softer.
The tattered strip of cloth around its waist struggled, and Xiang Wan reached out and patted it a few times to calm the restless little cloud dream beast.
She didn't want the little thing to get scared; what if it ran away like the red ball again?
As her friend, I felt it was necessary to offer her some emotional support.
"Knock knock!"
Now, Xiang Wan was certain that the heartbeat was coming from inside the giant cocoon.
As soon as the sound rang out, the surrounding blood paused for a second or two, then rushed frantically into the blood vessels on the giant cocoon, as if trying to catch up with the speed lost during the pause.
"Pop!"
Xiang Wan looked back and saw that the barrier, which had been invisible just moments before, was now faintly visible in the blood mist.
"Damn it, the insects are too strong. They might enter the barrier in a little while. No, we can't just sit here and wait to die!" Xiang Wan's mind raced as she stared at the giant blood-red cocoon, a cold glint in her eyes. "Going out means death, staying here is uncertain. We might as well take a gamble!"
Xiang Wan bent down, reaching her hand into the blood beneath her feet, pulling out a bone. Dissatisfied, she threw it away. She touched it again, then threw it away again. Until she held a bone as thick as a thigh in her hand, and with a kick, broke it in two.
"The pointed end can be used as a weapon. Now, it's time to witness a miracle."
Xiang Wan gripped one end of the bone with both hands and walked toward the giant cocoon.
The blood gradually flowed over the instep, then down the calf, and finally up the thigh, still a foot away from the giant callus.
"It seems this giant cocoon is buried underground, and there are more and more bones underfoot. If I go any further, I'm afraid I'll be completely submerged in blood." Xiang Wan pondered the distance between herself and the giant cocoon and decided not to go any further.
She had a feeling that if she continued forward, the blood mist that was preventing the barrier from being broken might drag her directly into the blood and become nourishment for the giant cocoon.
She wasn't tempted just now, probably because she hadn't thought of it.
Having failed to seduce her, Blood Mist was busy repairing the barrier and didn't pay any attention to her.
