After an accidental death, Shi Lan travels through various worlds to help those female supporting characters who were cannon foddered achieve their wishes and live anew.
She experiences vario...
Shi Lan paused in wiping her hair, then looked out through the peephole. The person at the door was very familiar; it was the same person she had just met that afternoon.
As Cheng Hao opened the door, he walked in carrying large and small bags of rolls, saying as he went, "Your place is nice, but it's too far from the supermarket. I brought you some rice and flour, as well as these seasonings. I bought the ones that your wife usually uses, so you should be able to eat them."
As he spoke, he dragged two large plastic bags to the kitchen, filling the empty drawers and cabinets little by little. After tidying up the floor, he turned to the doorway and said, "There's too much stuff for me to carry all at once. Leave the door open, I'll come up right away."
Shi Lan stared blankly at his movements, not quite coming to her senses for a moment.
She only snapped to attention when the door slammed shut, staring at the security door and blinking.
What's going on? Shi Lan racked her brains, trying to recall the crazy thing she did half an hour ago.
Because she was waiting for a job to end, Shi Lan was worried that Cheng Hao wouldn't be able to find her, so she gave him the phone number here. When he asked if it was safe and whether he wanted to stay at her place, she mentioned the address and repeatedly emphasized that there were security guards downstairs and that he didn't need to worry about safety.
After receiving his somewhat worried reminder, Shi Lan went to take a shower with peace of mind, only to come out to see this scene.
The doorbell rang again, and Shi Lan opened the door to see Cheng Hao carrying several bags in. This time, his main target was the refrigerator.
Water droplets slid down her hair, one by one, and her thin t-shirt became a little wet. Shi Lan quickly grabbed a towel and wiped herself haphazardly.
Cheng Hao filled the refrigerator, then turned around and saw a poodle with a fluffy head.
Cheng Hao clicked his tongue and said, "You really should let outsiders see your appearance."
Shi Lan stopped what she was doing, tilted her head, and looked at him through the gap in her hair. "What's wrong?"
Cheng Hao shook his head. "It's nothing."
Shi Lan glanced at him and continued rubbing her hair.
The original owner's hair was longer than her waist and very thick. Shi Lan had also kept it before, but back then she was surrounded by maids, so she didn't need to do such trivial things as twisting her hair herself.
Seeing strands of black hair falling down, Cheng Hao grinned and said, "Why don't you cut your hair? I've never seen you with short hair before."
Shi Lan straightened up, tossed her hair, glared at him, and coldly uttered two words, "I won't cut it."
Cheng Hao smiled tolerantly, walked around the room, and checked the windows and doors again before saying, "Alright, I'm leaving. I'll call you about your return to school."
Shi Lan nodded and saw him to the door. (To be continued.)
