Shi Lan had a good sleep, and groggily opened her eyes.

A meter away, Yunpu seemed to be buzzing around like a fly, occasionally fanning the fire with his hand, while the bowl of medicine he was holding in his other hand was about to spill.

Shi Lan struggled to sit up and asked in surprise, "Uncle Yun, what are you doing?"

Yunpu ignored him and continued with his own busy work.

Fatty Fish quickly jumped out to claim credit, pressing a large energy shield over Xiao Ming's head as she lay by the bed. "Pretty sister, someone came to harm you just now. I was afraid you would get hurt, so I set up an illusion array."

Shi Lan looked at it, then at Yun Pu.

Fat Fish shook his head and said, "It's not him, it's an ugly woman."

Shi Lan understood. In the entire cave, besides her, there was only one other woman, Jia Lan. Without a doubt, it was Jia Lan who wanted to harm her.

Xiao Ming swatted the fat fish away with its paw and growled at Shi Lan.

Shi Lan gently rubbed its head, then turned to the fat fish and said, "Remove the illusion array. Uncle Yun won't harm me."

The fat fish muttered something silently, then pursed its lips and inhaled sharply, like a whale swallowing water. The light mist in the room turned into a thin stream that flowed into its mouth.

Fat Fish burped and stuck the jade pendant back on.

Yunpu was stunned for a moment before he came to his senses. He turned his head and saw Shi Lan sitting half-upright on the bed, and a relieved smile appeared on his face.

“Xiaoping, you’re awake,” Yunpu said, quickly stepping forward and examining her closely for a moment. “You scared me to death! Seeing you like that yesterday, I felt like I’d lost three years of my lifespan.”

Shi Lan curled the corners of her lips, "I'm sorry to have worried you."

Yunpu shook his head. "I'm not worried about anything. It's your own body. If you don't cherish it, no one's worry will help." Yunpu placed the soup bowl in front of her. "This is medicine personally prepared by the Divine Lord. Drink it quickly." He only realized that the soup had gone cold and quickly stopped. "Let me heat it up before you drink it."

Shi Lan took it and said, "No need for that. I'll just drink it like this."

Yunpu thought it was a good idea. If the medicine was heated further, some of its effects might dissipate. However, the medicine was especially bitter when it was cold. He thought about giving her some of the fairy fruits, when he saw Shi Lan holding the bowl and drinking the medicine soup in one gulp.

Yunpu twitched his lips, setting aside these minor details, and asked, "Didn't I give you an antidote? How did you still end up poisoning yourself?"

Shi Lan subconsciously raised her arm and saw that the marks on it were much lighter. She said, "I accidentally splashed some of the venom from the evil python."

Yunpu glanced over and saw that the color had indeed lightened considerably. He was secretly relieved, but seeing that Shi Lan didn't seem to care, he couldn't help but nag, "The God Realm isn't so easy to break into. The fact that you were able to take human form here with the God Lord is already a stroke of good fortune. Although the Lord is cold-hearted, he has a good heart. As long as you stay here, he won't abandon you."

Yunpu said with a cold face and a very serious expression, "Having learned this lesson, you are not allowed to leave the mountain gate again."

Shi Lan nodded with a smile. Being nagged like this can sometimes be a kind of happiness.

Yunpu carried the bowl of medicine out the door.

Shi Lan struggled and was about to lie down when the door was pushed open again. Jia Lan, pale-faced and swaying, came in, with Hao Ze supporting her tenderly, as if afraid she would get hurt.

Shi Lan lifted the quilt, got out of bed, and was about to stand up when she felt dizzy. She swayed slightly and braced herself against the table next to the bed.

Seeing her like this, Jia Lan quickly said, "Lie down and don't move."

Shi Lan steadied herself, glanced at the two of them, and found them particularly irritating.

Seeing that Shi Lan hadn't lay down, Jia Lan became anxious and patted Hao Ze's hand repeatedly.

Haoze followed her lead and helped her walk quickly to Shi Lan.

"How are you?" Jia Lan pretended to touch Shi Lan's head.

Shi Lan didn't want her to touch her, so she pretended to slip and sat on the bed, saying, "I feel much better."

Jia Lan's hand froze in mid-air, unsure whether to go forward or backward. Hao Ze, unable to bear her embarrassment, helped her sit down to the side.

Jia Lan sat down, glanced at Xiao Ming who was curled up in a ball, and asked, "Is this mythical beast your pet?"

Shi Lan nodded and asked, "What's wrong?"

Jia Lan shifted her body, revealing her shoulder that Hao Ze had been blocking. "This celestial beast is too ferocious. With your celestial power, it's difficult for you to control it. Why don't you hand it over to me? I'll help you find it another place, okay?"

Xiao Ming opened its eyes. After a period of rest, it had recovered most of its energy.

Haoze frowned slightly, looking at Jia Lan with a pained expression.

Shi Lan was extremely distressed. She had gone through mountains and rivers, risking her life for Haoze, but he was showing affection for someone else right in front of her. How could she bear this?

Jia Lan's crying suddenly stopped, and she said in disbelief, "Xiao Ping, we are good friends. Are you really going to do this to me for a celestial beast?"

Shi Lan turned her head, her eyes icy cold. "You really consider me a friend?"

Jia Lan paused for a moment and then said, "Of course."

Shi Lan grinned and said, "Since that's the case, help me figure out how Immortal Lord Wanrou knew I was going out? And how could she hide in my usual route and attack me?"

Jia Lan opened her mouth, gave a stiff smile, and said, "How would I know?"

Shi Lan chuckled and looked at Haoze, who had a doubtful expression. "Yes, you don't know, and I don't know either. So who does know?"

Jia Lan lowered her head slightly, concealing the shifting look in her eyes. Shi Lan stopped short of making a move, leaned against the wall, and slowly walked outside, with Xiao Ming following closely at her feet.

Seeing her like this, Haoze said coldly, "Where are you going looking like this?"

Shi Lan said, "Go somewhere your sweetheart can't see you, so she won't worry that Xiao Ming will hurt her."

Upon hearing the summons, Yunpu hurried over.

Haoze pointed at Shi Lan, who was struggling to cross the threshold, and said, "Take her to the Hundred Herbs Garden."

Yunpu looked at him blankly, then at Shilan.

Shi Lan smiled at him, putting on a pitiful look, "Uncle Yun, you'll take me in, won't you?"

Yunpu glared at her and helped her to the Hundred Herbs Garden.
