After a long silence, Kasai said coldly, "Perhaps he's shy."

"The captain is shy..." Ye Ling imagined Xi Huayue's serious and stern yet masculine face, then mentally added two blushes and a pair of shy, bright eyes to his image...

Its absurdity is no less than that of a tough guy like Schwarzenegger or Stallone suddenly becoming effeminate, wagging his pinky finger.

Ye Ling shuddered violently, rubbing her arms repeatedly with lingering fear, and said, "That was terrifying..."

Kasai raised an eyebrow and glanced at Ye Ling's stunned expression, then suddenly thought of Yin Chen, who was still half-dead in the lounge.

Kasai's dark eyes glanced imperceptibly at Xi Huayue, who was standing in front of them. The ripples caused by his sudden movement alerted the captain, and the serious-looking mermaid froze the moment he turned around in confusion.

A chill ran up Kasai’s spine from the tip of his tail to the top of his head.

'I'm risking my life to be a good fish...'

As Kasai pondered silently, under the unintentional chill emanating from his captain, he slowly leaned close to Ye Ling's ear and whispered, "If you don't believe me, you can try doing this to the captain."

The angle obscured his movements, making it appear as if he were secretly kissing Ye Ling.

After saying this, Kasai regained his indifferent expression amidst Ye Ling's bewildered look and strolled leisurely—when passing Xi Huayue, he took a large detour to ensure that he was not within a three-meter radius of Xi Huayue.

He looks cowardly.

However, he still made full use of his evil fish face, and from a safe distance, gave Xi Huayue a provocative smile that was extremely wicked.

The serious-looking mermaid silently clenched her fist, looked at Ye Ling who was swimming towards her with a thoughtful expression, and softly asked, "You and Kasai...?"

Ye Ling paused for a moment, then said nervously, "Um, Captain...you...you saw everything?"

"You two... are together?" Xi Huayue's voice seemed a little low, but her steady and serious tone made it difficult for Yu to notice the slight change.

Ye Ling was startled, and, disregarding the captain's possibility that he disliked him, asked in surprise, "Captain, why would you think that?"

"And you two were standing so close just now?"

A question mark appeared in Xi Huayue's eyes, and she shook her head with a blank face.

Then he was pinned against the wall.

Xi Huayue froze completely, her icy green eyes with pupils contracted to their limit as she stared straight ahead, her entire body pressed tightly against the wall.

Even so, he could still feel the overly soft body of the shallow-sea mermaid so close to him, and her faint, warm, and soft fragrance.

On that gentle, shy, and youthful face, there was a hint of embarrassment. His pink lips parted as he spoke: "Casai told me that you didn't talk to me, Captain, because you were shy. He wanted to know if that was the case, and this action could test it... He demonstrated it for me."

The surge of blood rushed through the veins, roaring and surging, wildly washing into the heart, making it throb violently as if it were about to burst out of the throat.

Ye Ling is, after all, a singer, and even if she is shy, she is very intelligent.

After he finished speaking, he keenly sensed something was wrong. In the dim light, he saw that Xi Huayue's eyes hadn't blinked for a long time.

Ye Ling narrowed her eyes slightly with suspicion and slowly moved her face closer to him.

His deep green pupils suddenly dilated and contracted, his silver-gray eyelashes trembled slightly, his Adam's apple bobbed up and down, his lips twitched slightly, his abdomen had been deflated for a long time, his chest was slightly raised as if he had been inhaling deeply, but he hadn't exhaled for a long time.

Xi Huayue then exhaled a long breath. After maintaining a peaceful and safe distance from Ye Ling, his stagnant thoughts returned to normal, and he reverted to his serious demeanor.

"Oh," he replied dryly. When his gaze fell on Ye Ling's shy smile, Xi Huayue inexplicably felt that the smile was very meaningful.

"I'm going down," Xi Huayue said dryly, and fled in panic.

After he left, Ye Ling's smile faded slightly. She turned around and looked towards the end of the corridor, in the direction of Yin Chen's room.
