Su Jianguo's gaze fell on his second son.

Su Mingde was wearing a hospital gown, and his leg was in a cast.

Upon seeing Su Jianguo looking at him, Su Mingde's eyes visibly darted away, unable to meet his father's gaze.

"dad."

Su Mingfu parked his bicycle, walked over, and said in a low voice.

Su Mingde trembled and looked to Liu Meijuan for help.

Liu Meijuan quickly interjected.

"Uncle, the doctor said Mingde can't..."

I didn't ask you!

Su Jianguo interrupted her sharply.

"Su Mingde, I'm asking you a question!"

The courtyard was silent; everyone held their breath.

Fine beads of sweat appeared on Su Mingde's forehead, his lips trembled, and he finally managed to squeeze out a sentence.

"No...I can't..."

Su Jianguo stared at his son for a few seconds, then suddenly turned and walked into the house.

"Mingfu, push your second brother in. The rest of you, go do what you were doing!"

Liu Meijuan's smile froze, and a sinister glint flashed in her eyes.

She pushed the wheelchair and whispered something in Su Mingde's ear, making Su Mingde's expression even more gloomy.

Inside the main room, Su Jianguo sat in the main seat, watching Su Mingde being wheeled in.

Do you know why I asked you to come back?

Su Jianguo got straight to the point.

Su Mingde shook his head, his eyes darting around.

"Your eldest brother is coming today to divide the family property."

Su Jianguo said, emphasizing each word.

"Since we're going to divide it, let's divide it all together. What are your thoughts?"

Su Mingde suddenly looked up, a glint of greed flashing in his eyes, but he quickly lowered his head again.

"I...I have no idea..."

"No ideas?" Su Jianguo sneered.

"Haven't you been eyeing this money for a long time? Why haven't you thought about it yet?"

Upon hearing Su Jianguo's words, Su Mingde suddenly looked up.

"Dad! That 30,000 yuan was mainly given to me because of me. Shouldn't I get a share?"

Su Jianguo squinted.

Just then, a commotion of voices suddenly came from outside the courtyard gate.

Su Jianguo walked to the window and saw Su Mingqiang leading Li Jinhua, along with seven or eight other members of the Li family, including Li Decai and Li Jinbao, into the alley in a grand procession.

The courtyard gate opened, and the Li family members filed in.

Li Decai walked at the front, looking arrogant and haughty.

All eyes turned to the doorway.

Sister Wang stood outside the courtyard gate with a young colleague, holding a folder in her hand and wearing a professional smile.

Su Jianguo took a deep breath and suppressed his anger.

"Please come in."
