"Come inside quickly!"

Banxia pulled Nanxing into the house and turned on the walkie-talkie: "Yao-ge, Yuan-ge, you two hurry home, it's going to rain!"

Su Yao was puzzled: "So what if it's raining?"

Banxia said in a deep voice, "Zombies appeared after the last rain!"

She only knew that the rain was beneficial to zombies, but she didn't know if it was harmful to humans. But it's better to be safe than sorry!

Su Yao and Cai Yuan: "Let's go inside right away!!!"

After Banxia finished her work, Nanxing asked softly, "Wife, is there a problem with this rain?"

Banxia's expression was extremely serious: "The zombies have all been upgraded!"

Nanxing gasped.

At 6:30 a.m., dark clouds completely blocked out the entire sky, and not a single ray of light could be seen.

The dark, heavy clouds seemed poised to fall to the ground at any moment, making it hard to breathe.

Gold and Silver grinned, staring warily at the window.

Nanxing came out of the kitchen carrying dishes: "Wife, dinner's ready."

Banxia hurriedly went to wash her hands. Just as she finished washing her hands and returned to the living room, she heard a deafening clap of thunder outside, which even shook the house.

Immediately afterwards, a giant white lightning bolt, more than ten meters wide, streaked across the sky, tearing the dark clouds apart like a sharp sword, revealing the gloomy sky.

In an instant, a torrential downpour of black rain began!

Nanxing walked to the window and pulled the curtains to block out the wind and rain: "Wife, Jinzi, Yinzi, eat in peace."

Unbeknownst to them, the moment the rain began to fall, countless zombies rushed out of the building and stood motionless in the rain, welcoming its baptism.

This eerie scene has haunted everyone who has seen it, leaving them with nightmares.

The rain lasted from 7 a.m. that day until 7 a.m. the next day, a full 24 hours.

The sky after the rain was a deep blue, and the sunlight spread across the earth like gold.

If this rain weren't an eerie black, if this weren't a post-apocalyptic world in complete disarray, many people might have taken photos and posted them on social media, marveling at the beauty of sunshine and life.

Unfortunately, there are no "what ifs".

Banxia removed Nanxing's hand from her waist, lifted the blanket, put on her clothes, and went to the window to check the thermometer: 43℃.

Even a day and a night of heavy rain couldn't bring down the high temperature.

She glanced at the yard again; it was piled high with garbage. The only saving grace was that the water level was only a shallow layer. It seemed the drainage system in the complex was excellent; the money spent on the house was definitely worth it!

"Wife," Nanxing hugged Banxia from behind, "has the rain stopped?"

"Mmm," Banxia turned around and hugged Nanxing, nuzzling against his chest, "We just stopped for a while."

Nanxing also saw the garbage all over the yard: "I'll go clean it up, otherwise it'll stink if the sun keeps shining on it for a while."

Banxia quickly grabbed him: "What if there are any unknown viruses in the water? Let's dry it before we go."

The black rain was too eerie. It was black when it was in the air, but turned into clear water as soon as it touched the ground, making it impossible to guard against.

“Okay,” Nanxing paused, thought for a moment, and then said, “I’ll use the walkie-talkie to tell Su Yao and Brother Yuan.”

After a while, Nanxing pushed open the bedroom door: "Wife, I've talked to Su Yao and Brother Yuan. We also discussed it, and this rain is too strange, so we won't go out for the next two days until the moisture outside has completely dried up."

After he finished speaking, he put his arm around Banxia and said, "Wife, go to sleep."

Their biological clock is now completely reversed from before; around 7 a.m. is when they should be sleeping and resting.

A sudden downpour disrupted the plan to gather supplies, but fortunately, all three families had enough to eat and drink, so they were not anxious.

Meanwhile, other survivors who unfortunately witnessed the zombies' bizarre behavior were terrified but also mustered the courage to go outside.

Because if we don't go out to find supplies, our family will run out of food!

When Banxia and Nanxing woke up again, it was already six o'clock in the afternoon. After washing up and eating something, they put on masks and gloves, took cleaning tools, and went to the yard to clean up the trash.

After a day of scorching sun, the water in the yard had vanished without a trace, but the garbage scattered all over the ground smelled terrible.

Food wrappers, toilet paper, tattered clothes, worn-out shoes, small stones, broken glass, dust...

Banxia even saw a few bones and half a zombie arm.

Nanxing couldn't help but frown: "Wife, you go back and rest, I'll clean up."

Banxia knew he felt sorry for her, but she also felt sorry for him: "If the two of you work faster, it will get dark soon."

After saying that, he picked up a big broom and started sweeping the floor. Nanxing didn't even have time to stop him.

The two swept the yard three times, but the ground still smelled faintly.

Banxia thought for a moment and said, "Use the bathwater from gold and silver to wash the floor!"

Without further ado, she took out a bucket of floor cleaner from her spatial storage, poured it into the bathwater containing gold and silver, stirred it well, and then, together with Nanxing, carefully rinsed the floor with brooms before finally finishing with satisfaction!

After finishing their work, the two went back to their room to wash off the sweat and dirt, then snuggled up on the sofa to play games.

Not long after, Banxia angrily threw the game aside: "I'm not playing anymore! You always let me win!"

She won seven out of ten matches against Nanxing; the remaining three times were probably because he deliberately let her win, not making it too obvious.
