Lin Jin has transmigrated. She has traveled to the 1970s and is now a girl with the same name.
As the sole inheritor of a traditional Chinese medicine family and having studied Western medici...
Seeing this, Su Ran quickly called out, "Comrade Lin, this is the middle of nowhere, and I have difficulty moving around. Could you please take me down to the village at the foot of the mountain?" Lin Jin hesitated for a moment before nodding. He then helped Su Ran slowly down the mountain.
Upon arriving in the village, everyone was surprised to see Lin Jin accompanied by a soldier. Su Ran inquired about Lin Jin from the villagers, who all praised his superb medical skills. Su Ran secretly made a mental note of this, feeling that Lin Jin was far more than just an ordinary village doctor.
Lin Jin escorted Su Ran to the captain's house and then returned home. That night, Lin Jin continued studying the secret manual in her spatial dimension. Although she couldn't understand the text, she gained a lot from practicing with the diagrams. Early the next morning, she went to the captain's house to check on the injured soldier. He was alright, so she gave him a few words of advice, then shouldered her basket and went up the mountain again. She hadn't been able to gather many herbs yesterday because of him, so she was determined to gather more today. There were quite a few herbs on the mountain, but they were all common. After searching for a long time, Lin Jin finally found a few relatively rare herbs.
After gathering herbs, Lin Jin realized she had ventured deep into the mountains. Villagers had warned her it was dangerous, infested with large animals, and generally avoided this area. Lin Jin was also frightened; what if she encountered a large wild animal? She needed to get out of there quickly. She tried to turn back, realizing she had been so focused on gathering herbs that she hadn't paid attention to the path. Just as she was becoming anxious, she suddenly heard a low growl. Her heart leaped into her throat, and she looked around warily. A massive black bear slowly emerged from the trees, its eyes fixed on her. Lin Jin forced herself to calm down. She remembered some herbs from her medical books that could repel wild animals. She quietly took the herbs from her basket, crushed them with a stone, and released a pungent odor. The bear hesitated for a moment upon smelling the aroma, but quickly regained its aggressive stance and pounced on Lin Jin. Lin Jin dodged to the side, simultaneously throwing her basket at the bear to distract it. But the black bear quickly regained its senses, and Lin Jin had no choice but to hide in the space. The black bear watched its prey disappear, circled around several times, and then slowly walked away. Lin Jin watched the black bear walk away from the space, waiting for it to return. Sure enough, less than two minutes later, the black bear turned back, still not seeing its prey, and then left unwillingly.
Luckily, she had her spatial dimension, otherwise she would have been dead. Lin Jin quickly left the spatial dimension and searched around before slowly finding the way she came. Seeing that it was getting dark, Lin Jin quickened her pace. Suddenly, she saw a light ahead and saw many people walking towards her. Lin Jin didn't know what was going on. When she got closer, someone asked, "Are you Lin Zhiqing?"
"Upon hearing it, she recognized the captain's voice! That familiar and resonant voice instantly lifted her spirits!" Lin Jin was secretly delighted and quickly replied, "Uncle Yang, it's me! I'm so sorry to have worried everyone!"
Yang Hai walked up anxiously, patting his chest and panting, saying, "Oh dear, you've worried us all so much! How could a young girl like you be so bold? It's completely dark now, and you still haven't come back. We're all going crazy with worry!"
Hearing Uncle Yang's concerned words, Lin Jin felt a surge of warmth in her heart, but also felt extremely guilty. She lowered her head and muttered softly, "I'm sorry, Uncle Yang, I just wanted to go up the mountain to pick some herbs... I didn't expect time to pass so quickly, and it got dark in no time."
Looking at Lin Jin's pitiful appearance, Uncle Yang shook his head helplessly and said softly, "Alright, alright, it's good that you're back safe and sound. Don't take such risks again! Come on, let's go home first."
So, the group escorted Lin Jin home. Along the way, they chatted amongst themselves, teasing Lin Jin, but their tone was full of concern and care.
Finally home, Lin Jin gently pushed open the door and stepped inside. She was utterly exhausted, but deep down she made a silent resolution: she must be more careful in the future, especially when gathering herbs, as these deep mountains truly harbored too many dangers. However, if she could further refine the martial arts techniques in that manual, she might be able to handle similar dangers more easily next time.
