Chapter 366

By the time Ji Wanmei and Lei Tingjun finally parted ways after their intimate moment, it was past the school's curfew.

Above the small attic, crickets chirped outside the window, and the night was filled with glittering stars.

A gentle evening breeze blew through the quiet room, where only the two of them were present.

Ji Wanmei had just checked her watch, and of course she knew that it was definitely too late to go back to school now.

"Did you come here specially today?" Ji Wanmei stroked Lei Tingjun's chin with her hand.

He was unshaven and didn't care about his clothes anymore.

Lei Tingjun grasped Ji Wanmei's hand: "Well, I finally finished up my work these past few days and managed to take a couple of days off. I'm going to give a brief academic report to Professor Liang tomorrow, and then I'll head back to Pingdong tomorrow afternoon."

“Meimei, I received the cassette tape you sent me last time. I put it by my pillow, and I listen to it every night before I go to sleep when I miss you.”

He looked at Ji Wanmei in front of him, the girl he cherished most in his heart. How could he not miss her?

He dreamed about her constantly, to the point of almost going crazy.

Lei Tingjun originally thought that as long as he could endure the two-year agreement with Ji Xingguo, he would be able to pass Ji Xingguo's first test, leave him speechless, and then obtain his permission.

But he didn't expect that his sister was stronger and smarter than him. She used a roundabout and gentle approach to fight against her father's ideas for his sake.

"Hmph, I thought you didn't know what it meant!" Ji Wanmei deliberately snorted twice and poked his hard chest with her fingertip. "If you don't reply to me this time, I'm really going to be angry with you."

"It's my fault, it's all my fault, I'm too stupid." Lei Tingjun stood still and let her vent her anger, even afraid that her delicate fingers would be hurt.

Ji Wanmei was indeed a little angry at first, but seeing how obedient he was, like a large, loyal dog obediently submitting to her, his pair of dark eyes gazing at her affectionately without blinking.

Lei Tingjun pulled her along, striding forward. As they descended the small attic, he even took out a flashlight to illuminate the stairs for her, saying, "Be careful, it's not easy to walk here."

Ji Wanmei dawdled reluctantly.

Lei Tingjun thought she was tired or a little scared to walk at night, so he simply turned around, bent her over, and carried her downstairs in a half-carry, half-lift manner.
