At 35, Jiang Xiaoli went wild skiing with friends, only to die in an avalanche. She woke up to find herself back at 16, a year when her beloved mother was still alive!
Given a second chance, ...
Jiang Xiaoli, under the scrutinizing gazes of the entire class, took a pen and went to the office.
Meeting the concerned gazes of the teachers, she suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.
This feels... off...
When she received the math test paper, she glanced at it and looked up at Chen Zhe, who had followed her back to the office.
Chen avoided her gaze, and she instantly understood.
Jiang Xiaoli twirled the pen, opened the cap, and decided to accept the situation as it came.
Seeing that she had started working on the problems, Chen thoughtfully handed her a few sheets of scratch paper. She thanked him and began working on the problems.
These questions were far more difficult than any of the practice books she had done. Her brain raced, meticulously unraveling the complexities to find the solution to each question.
At 65 minutes, Jiang Xiaoli stood up, patted Chen Zhe on the shoulder, and put the test paper on his desk. "Teacher Chen, I've finished."
"Finished?" This question came from the math teacher of Class 3 across from Chen.
She had seen the test paper Chen had prepared that morning, and she felt that even if the test was 120 or 150 minutes long, let alone the 100-minute time limit, the students might not be able to finish it.
It's only been a little over an hour, and it's already finished?
Chen pushed up his glasses, looked up at Jiang Xiaoli, and asked, "Aren't you going to get it checked again?"
Jiang Xiaoli smiled and said, "Teacher Chen, why don't you start grading the papers? I'm going to the restroom."
Zhao Jiawei chuckled and immediately agreed on Chen's behalf, "Go ahead, go ahead, haha."
Jiang Xiaoli dashed to the restroom, causing several teachers in the office to burst out laughing. This child was so straightforward and adorable.
Chen couldn't laugh out loud.
He had every question in the test paper he created memorized; he knew whether the answers were correct or not without looking at the answer key.
He got all the multiple-choice questions he scanned right at that moment correct!
His breathing quickened, and he hurriedly flipped the paper over to see the answers to the major questions.
After a long while, he let out a long sigh, leaned back in his chair, and laughed.
The math teacher sitting opposite him noticed his expression and asked curiously, "Mr. Chen, how did your student do on the exam?"
Chen didn't say anything, but handed her the paper he had graded and told her to look at it herself.
This caught the attention of several other teachers in the office, who all crowded behind the math teacher to look at Jiang Xiaoli's test paper.
Although the paper did not have a total score, the bright red checkmarks all over it pierced their eyes.
Jiang Xiaoli's chemistry teacher, Ms. Li, urged, "Turn the page and take a look!"
On the back of the exam paper, there were also many checkmarks, and the teachers looked at each other in bewilderment.
The math teacher across from me swallowed hard. "Mr. Chen, can't you find even the slightest mistake?"
Chen Zhe had recovered from his shock by now. He calmly blew on the tea leaves in his cup and took a sip.
Seeing several pairs of eyes staring at him, he slowly spoke, "I can't find it. Although it's not as neat as the standard answer, there's not a single mistake."
The math teacher across from him couldn't help but retort with a hint of envy, "Congratulations, Teacher Chen! You'd better catch such an outstanding student."
Zhao Jiawei and Teacher Li exchanged a glance, and they both walked to Chen's desk at the same time. "Teacher Chen, you can't let this girl skip a grade! Our hopes are on your shoulders!"
Just as Chen was about to nod, Jiang Xiaoli's "Report!" rang out from outside the office.
It was still during class time, so she was the only one who could come to the office.
The teacher at the door casually called out "Come in," and Jiang Xiaoli immediately saw several gazes on her that were even more intense than when she had just entered the office after completing her test.
She took small, quick steps to Chen Zhe's side. "Teacher Chen, how are you? Are you alright?"
Chen's smile etched even more wrinkles around his eyes and lips. "Okay! Well done! Do you want to rest for a while, or continue with the questions?"
Seeing his bright smile, Jiang Xiaoli felt even more confident about her grades. "Keep doing your problems, there are still several more to go!"
Zhao Jiawei had been eavesdropping on their conversation, and quickly handed her an English test paper, saying, "Xiaoli, do the English first."
Ms. Li, who was a step too late, stopped in her tracks with the test paper in her hand. "Ms. Zhao, you're quick!"
Seeing this, Jiang Xiaoli said, "Teacher Li, why don't you give me the test paper first? I'll do the chemistry test right after I finish the English one."
Without hesitation, Teacher Li handed her the test paper, saying, "Tell me when you're done with the English paper so I can time you."
Jiang Xiaoli nodded and sat down in her previous seat to start working on the questions.
The English questions at this point were really easy. Even though Zhao Jiawei deliberately added a lot of vocabulary beyond the syllabus, Jiang Xiaoli still handled them with ease.
In just 20 minutes, she finished the entire English test paper.
It's not really appropriate to hand in the paper so early...
She hesitated for two seconds, then remained silent and continued working on her chemistry test.
Half an hour later, she got up and gave the English test paper to Zhao Jiawei.
Zhao Jiawei smiled and nodded, "I'll grade the papers, you can do the chemistry one first."
Unexpectedly, Jiang Xiaoli took another step and placed a test paper on Teacher Li's desk.
Zhao Jiawei and Teacher Li exchanged a glance, and Teacher Li noticed that the chemistry test paper had already been filled out.
He opened and closed his mouth several times, but decided to check Jiang Xiaoli's accuracy rate first.
Both teachers were grading papers when the bell rang, and Ms. Liu returned to her office with her textbooks and lesson plans.
He glanced at Chen, who was sitting with his legs crossed, drinking tea, and then at the two people who were engrossed in grading papers.
He sat down at his desk, opened a drawer, took out a bag of cookies, and tossed it to Jiang Xiaoli. "How's it going?"
