After leaving the research base with a full load of supplies, Su Yao and Ling Yu, guided by the system, headed towards the next location where there might be a large amount of supplies—an underground shelter covered in ice and snow.

A group of creatures resembling zombies but different from ordinary zombies emerged from the darkness. These creatures were covered in a thick layer of ice crystals, their eyes flashing with an eerie blue light, and they moved with greater agility than ordinary zombies. They opened their gaping maws, revealing sharp, icy teeth, and pounced towards Su Yao and Ling Yu.

Su Yao swiftly used her spatial abilities to teleport behind the zombie horde, then activated her wind blade ability, sending wind blades like sharp knives hurtling towards the zombies' backs. The wind blades struck the zombies, leaving scratches on their icy skin, but did not cause them fatal damage.

Ling Yu created ice walls in front of him, attempting to block the zombies' attacks. However, the zombies easily destroyed the ice walls with their sharp fangs and claws, continuing their charge towards them.

Su Yao realized that the weakness of these ice crystal zombies might be their heads. She concentrated her mind, deeply fusing her spatial and wind blade abilities to create even more powerful spatial wind blades, which she shot towards the zombies' heads. The spatial wind blades accurately struck the zombies' heads, severing the heads of several zombies, which then collapsed into a pile of shattered ice.

Seeing that Su Yao's attack was effective, Ling Yu changed his attack method. He used his ice-type ability to condense sharp ice spikes and shot them towards the zombies' heads. With the cooperation of the two, the ice crystal zombies were eliminated one by one.

After resolving the zombie crisis, they continued deeper into the shelter. In a large hall, they discovered many lockers storing supplies. Su Yao excitedly opened the lockers, revealing various daily necessities, medical supplies, and weapons and ammunition.

However, while they were gathering supplies, the shelter's alarm suddenly went off. The system message read: "The shelter's self-destruct mechanism has been activated. You must find the control center and shut it down as soon as possible."

Su Yao and Ling Yu hurriedly ran towards the control center. Along the way, they encountered various traps and mechanisms, including flame-throwing devices, laser-firing turrets, and floors filled with electricity.

Su Yao cleverly avoided the traps using her spatial abilities, while Ling Yu used his ice-based abilities to create a safe foothold for her. Through their combined efforts, they finally reached the control center.

The control center was filled with various complex instruments and consoles. Su Yao and Ling Yu began searching for a way to disable the self-destruct program. During their tense search, they discovered a countdown timer with less than five minutes remaining.

Su Yao quickly operated the console, and with the system's help, she found the self-destruct program's code. However, the code was encrypted and required the correct password to decrypt.

Ling Yu watched anxiously from the side, when suddenly he noticed some strange patterns on the control panel. These patterns looked like some kind of ancient runes. He remembered seeing similar runes at the research base, so he and Su Yao studied them together.

After some deduction and experimentation, they finally found the password and successfully deactivated the self-destruct mechanism. The alarm stopped, and the shelter returned to peace.

Su Yao and Ling Yu breathed a sigh of relief. They continued collecting supplies inside the shelter, storing everything useful into their spatial storage. Then, with their abundant haul, they left the underground shelter and headed towards the next unknown supply point, continuing their fight for survival in this apocalyptic and frigid world.
