Su Yao was reborn with the painful memories of the previous apocalypse. With only a month until the apocalypse struck again, she decided not to sit idly by.
She spent all her savings to hoard...
Su Yao stared at the gigantic monster before her, pieced together from mechanical parts. With each step it took, the factory floor trembled. Its red-glowing eyes, like the eyes of a demon in the darkness, stared intently at her, making her feel an unprecedented sense of oppression.
Su Yao quickly formulated a battle plan in her mind. She knew she couldn't confront this behemoth head-on. She first used her spatial ability to instantly teleport to the monster's side, while simultaneously activating her wind blade ability to attack the monster's joints. The wind blades struck the monster, sending sparks flying, but only leaving a few shallow scratches on its metal shell.
The monster seemed enraged by Su Yao's attack; its guns began to spin, unleashing a barrage of energy blasts in Su Yao's direction. Su Yao hurriedly used her spatial abilities to dodge again, the energy blasts exploding behind her, the powerful impact shattering the surrounding machinery.
While dodging, Su Yao discovered that the monster's guns had a short cooldown period after firing continuously. Seizing this opportunity, she rushed towards the monster after it finished firing. The instant she was close, she channeled her mysterious power into her weapon and thrust it fiercely into the monster's leg joint. This time, the weapon successfully penetrated the joint. Su Yao pried hard, and the monster's leg creaked and groaned, its movements becoming somewhat sluggish.
But the monster reacted quickly, swinging its massive, spiked arm at Su Yao. Su Yao leaped backward, creating distance between herself and the monster. She knew that such an attack would have limited effect; she had to find its weakness.
Su Yao moved quickly around the monster, carefully observing its body structure. She discovered a core device on its back that was flashing blue light, connected to several energy pipes. Su Yao guessed that this was the monster's energy source and its key weakness.
She used her spatial abilities to appear above the monster, then unleashed her fire abilities to attack its back. Flames spread along the energy channels, and the monster let out a painful roar, its body beginning to shake violently. Su Yao seized the opportunity to attack again, severing some of the energy channels with wind blades.
The monster grew even more frenzied, charging towards Su Yao without regard for its own injuries. Su Yao used her spatial abilities to teleport to a distance, but was still caught in the impact of the monster's attack and fell to the ground. She forced herself to get up despite her injuries; her abilities were severely depleted, and her stamina was nearing its limit.
However, the monster didn't give up. It adjusted its posture and charged at Su Yao again. Su Yao gritted her teeth, took out some explosives she had collected earlier from her spatial storage, and threw them at the monster as it approached. The explosives detonated at the monster's feet, and the huge impact blasted the monster back several steps, leaving cracks on its body.
Seizing the opportunity, Su Yao concentrated all her remaining power, fusing her mysterious power, fire ability, and wind blade ability together to launch her strongest attack on the core device on the monster's back. The attack struck the core device like a meteor, accompanied by a dazzling light and a massive explosion. The monster's core device was destroyed, and its enormous body collapsed with a deafening roar.
Panting, Su Yao looked at the fallen monster, a wave of relief washing over her. She had no time to rest and continued searching the factory for supplies. Besides the electronic components and tools she had found earlier, she also discovered some special materials that could be used to make warm clothing.
After collecting the supplies, Su Yao left the factory. On her way back to the safe house, she passed a lake covered in ice and snow. An idea struck her: to use the spatial properties to stockpile ice. In this frigid post-apocalyptic world, she could accumulate plenty of ice to cool things down when it got extremely hot, and it might even have other uses.
Su Yao used her spatial abilities to collect the ice blocks from the lake one by one into her spatial storage. She selected the ice blocks that were pure in texture and large in size. After doing all this, she quickened her pace towards the safe house. She knew her family was still waiting for her, and this harvest would provide them with greater assurance for survival in the apocalypse.
