As this is my first time writing a book, there may be some flaws!...
Let's rewind two hours to Wang Hu's customer service studio.
Sunlight streamed through the office window and fell on Meng Zhiyun's desk, but her mood was as if shrouded in dark clouds.
Wang Hu arranged for the three of them to share a room, intending for them to learn from each other, but unexpectedly, this arrangement made Meng Zhiyun feel more isolated than ever before.
Chen Linlin and her two other colleagues are all from Sichuan, so they naturally communicated in their familiar Sichuan dialect.
Whenever they gathered together, chatting and laughing, Meng Zhiyun could only stand aside, listening to their dialect that she couldn't understand, feeling as if she were isolated in another world. A sense of loss welled up in her heart, as if she had become an outsider in this small group.
Meng Zhiyun sat at her workstation, pen in hand, but unable to concentrate on her work. Her gaze kept drifting to the three figures chatting and laughing, their laughter sounding grating to her ears.
She knew they weren't deliberately ostracizing her; they were just communicating in their own dialect, which was their habit and their comfort zone. But this unintentional ostracism made her feel deeply lonely.
Chen Linlin was unaware of Meng Zhiyun's feelings; she was simply immersed in her warm conversation with her fellow villager. Their conversation always revolved around the food, scenery, and childhood memories of their hometown—all of which were unfamiliar to Meng Zhiyun.
She tried to join their conversation, but found herself listening to gibberish, so she could only smile awkwardly and silently retreat to her seat.
Meng Zhiyun's mood grew heavier and heavier. She began to doubt whether she was suitable for this environment and whether she could integrate into this small group.
She missed the plains and noodles of her hometown, Henan, and the days when she could communicate in Mandarin. She felt out of place here with her culture and language, and her heart began to waver.
Especially the food; the dishes that Chen Linlin and the other two cook are always very spicy, so today she told them three times that she would come back to eat alone.
Wang Hu asked her, "Were you bullied by Chen Linlin and those two? If so, you have to tell me. I'll fire those two, buy a new house, and we'll live separately from now on."
Meng Zhiyun was a very kind person. One day, when Wang Hu was about to fire the two of them, she immediately became anxious and said to Wang Hu, "They didn't bully me." Then she explained the whole story.
After hearing what had happened, Wang Hu hugged Meng Zhiyun with heartache. He could empathize with Meng Zhiyun, who had been a bachelor for 30 years in his previous life, working odd jobs everywhere and facing discrimination in each place.
After Meng Zhiyun went to cook
Wang Hu sat on the sofa in the living room, his brow furrowed. Meng Zhiyun's words echoed in his ears, and he realized the seriousness of the problem.
His employees, especially his two closest associates, had naturally formed a small clique due to their geographical proximity, and this unconscious exclusion could negatively impact team harmony and efficiency. He knew that, as a leader, he needed to take action to address this issue.
After careful consideration, Wang Hu made a decision. He would rent a new office outside, gather all his employees there, and recruit new staff. The online store would definitely expand, and he would need a lot of manpower.
This new work environment will be a neutral place, without geographical boundaries or the formation of small groups.
He hopes that this approach will allow all employees to work in a more equitable and open environment.
Wang Hu took out his phone, intending to contact Li Wanting to ask her to help him find a professional manager. However, he noticed it was already past 5 p.m., and she was about to get off work. He decided to contact her tomorrow instead.
After dinner, Wang Hu washed the dishes with her, took a shower together, and then watched TV together in the living room while wearing their pajamas.
Wang Hu held her as she sat on his lap, one hand slowly slipping inside her pajamas.
Their breathing became heavier, and they began to linger, until they got down to business. With a muffled groan from Wang Hu, they gradually calmed down.
When Chen Linlin returned at nine o'clock, she had just entered the living room when she saw two naked people embracing each other. Meng Zhiyun was fast asleep in Wang Hu's arms.
Just as Chen Linlin was about to speak, Wang Hu put his index finger to his lips and shushed her. Then, Wang Hu carried Meng Zhiyun to the bedroom.
After Wang Hu came out and closed the door, he heard Chen Linlin say, "I was wondering why Xiao Meng came back so early today. Turns out she came back to eat alone."
Wang Hu said, "What are you saying? Have you been cooking really spicy food these past few days? How can she, a person from Henan, eat that much spice? She'll have to come back and cook it herself!"
Chen Linlin said, "I see. By the way, Xiao Meng is asleep. Are you going to sleep with me tonight? That means you can keep me company all night." She then looked at Wang Hu with a flushed face.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Hu immediately became excited and carried her to the bathroom to take a shower.
"I haven't had a scrub in two days, give me a scrub!"
"You carried me in here just so I could scrub your back?"
"Then what else would I have you here for?"
"I'll scrub your fur, you're going to die."
"Hey...hey...you can't use a bath towel to scrub here. You started this fight, so don't beg for mercy."
"Oh, I'm sorry, slow down!"
...
The next morning, Wang Hu picked up Chen Linlin and carried her into the bathroom to give her a bath. The two of them had been up until four or five in the morning the night before and were so tired that they fell asleep, their bodies sticky.
Wang Hu filled the tub with hot water and put Chen Linlin in it. She woke up and, upon seeing Wang Hu, her first words were, "You're an animal, a bastard."
Wang Hu ignored her, pinched her little face, and shoved his toothbrush into her mouth. After brushing her teeth, he took a glass of water and held it to her lips. She rinsed her mouth with a gurgling sound and then actually vomited into the bathtub.
There was no way to soak her now, so they drained the water and gave her a shower. Just then, Meng Zhiyun came in and dried Chen Linlin off. Wang Hu then said to Meng Zhiyun, "Don't go over there today. There's a computer here too."
After Meng Zhiyun agreed, Wang Hu carried Chen Linlin back to her room, changed her clothes, and went to the examination hall. Today was the third part of the driving test.
I got up early today. When Wang Hu arrived, there weren't many others yet. After a while, Coach Hu came over and was quite surprised to see Wang Hu. He said, "Wang Hu, did the sun rise in the west today? Don't you always arrive right on time?"
Wang Hu said, "It's not because I listened to your teachings that I came a little earlier today."
"You're really good at talking nonsense!"
"Oh, you can even speak Northern dialect."
The two were talking when the exam staff arrived, and they went in to register and start the exam, just like last time.
Once in the car, following the instructor's guidance, Wang Hu started smoothly, changed lanes successfully, and parked precisely. The examiner nodded; he had passed.
