Dr. Wang was stunned by this sudden news. He looked at his subordinates in disbelief, his face showing utter horror.

"What did you say? A zombie invasion?"

The subordinate nodded and explained nervously, "I just checked the lab. All the mutated zombies have escaped, and I checked, it was unlocked with Kerry's fingerprint. He sneaked in and released the zombies while we were on holiday!"

Dr. Wang's gaze sharpened, and his brain began to work at lightning speed.

Kerry, the foreign researcher who once worked for him at the base, has always had some peculiar private behavior.

Dr. Wang's inner whisper was almost audible only to himself: "It's hard to imagine he would do such a thing."

Thinking of his zombie son, he didn't have time to think too much and decided to go to the research lab immediately to check on him in person.

He pushed his subordinate aside, pointed to the door, and said sternly, "Then what are we waiting for? Go out and take a look. We must control the situation."

"Oh no, all my data is gone."

Seeing that the zombies had actually escaped, he quickly said, "Let's not worry about this for now, let's go out and see what else we need to do."

"Yes, Doctor."

A group of people hurriedly ran out of the underground research lab. When they arrived on the surface, they saw mutated zombies running around the base. The newly formed zombies struggled to move their half-rotten bodies, their eyes filled with madness and hunger.

Dr. Wang felt a chill run down his spine, and fear enveloped the entire room. He swallowed hard, and cold sweat seeped from his palms.

"How could this happen? What is that bastard Kerry trying to do?"

Just then, a zombie charged at him.

Dr. Wang struggled to break free from his fear, and with the calm and decisiveness of a scientist, he used his gun to shoot down the zombie.

However, more zombies had already noticed their presence and pounced on them one after another.

Dr. Wang and his subordinates fought valiantly, but despite their tremendous efforts, the number of zombies in the base was simply too great, seemingly endless.

They had to abandon the research lab and begin their arduous journey toward the exit.

The entire base was engulfed in chaos, echoing with the roars of zombies and the shrill screams of people.

People lost their minds under the threat of death and despair, and fear and madness raged in every corner.

"There are too many zombies here, and our firepower is insufficient. Retreat!"

Dr. Wang and his team tirelessly searched the base, doing everything they could to find any chance of survival.

They calmly dealt with each dangerous situation, trying their best to avoid direct contact with zombies.

This is a battle of life and death, and only the strongest and the smartest will survive this turmoil.

However, as time went on, Dr. Wang and his subordinates grew increasingly desperate.

No matter how hard they tried, the number of zombies in the base seemed endless.

They knew they were in dire straits, and the wheels of fate had pushed them toward the brink of death.

Ultimately, Dr. Wang and his men were surrounded by a horde of zombies.

They used their last ounce of strength to put up a final resistance, facing the hideous zombies with nothing to lose but to face death head-on.

"How could this happen? This shouldn't be happening. It's all over, everything is over." Dr. Wang said breathlessly, his eyes filled with despair.

Plans can't keep up with changes; you can guard against anything day or night, but it's hard to guard against a thief within your own ranks! I was ruined by my own colleague.

Zombies invade the glorious base, bringing a bloodbath.

The news of the complete annihilation spread throughout the city in a short time.

People were bewildered and caught in a vortex of panic and despair.

Faced with this overwhelming terror that threatened to engulf everything, only Dr. Wang and his subordinates remained remarkably calm.

As the chief scientist of the base, Dr. Wang has always shouldered the important responsibility of biochemical research.

The research findings of the Glorious Base have been recognized by many countries, which has become the hope for the base to defend against zombie invasions.

However, things didn't go as planned, and a sudden disaster wiped them all out.

Dr. Wang and his subordinates desperately fled, and thanks to their familiarity with the base and their excellent reaction speed, they turned danger into safety and finally broke through the zombie encirclement.

The howling of the zombies chasing them was deafening and terrifying.

A piercing scream filled the entire base, and at the same time, a putrid stench permeated the air.

The air, filled with rotting flesh and death, was suffocating, as if one were in a living hell.

Dr. Wang and his subordinates fought with all their might and finally managed to carve out a way out.

"Bang bang bang bang bang..." Gunshots rang out continuously, but the zombie virus spread too quickly, and the number of zombies was too great to resist.

"Quickly, the base has fallen, we need to get out of here."

They escaped to the outskirts of the base, only to find that the entire city had already been overrun by zombies, with ruins and corpses strewn about, as if they had stepped into a post-apocalyptic world.

Despite their exhaustion and fear, Dr. Wang led his team toward their last hope: an underground air-raid shelter that had not been invaded by zombies.
