Everyone went back and got into their cars.

They drove towards the hospital.

Along the way, there were also mutated rats. Apart from the driver, everyone else raised their pistols and shot at the mutated rats.

Ten minutes later, Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng arrived at the hospital and saw He Yidong leading soldiers to fight the mutated rats.

"Why did you all come here?"

"Don't worry, Elder Ye and Dr. Hu have already been transferred and are now with the base commander. Captain Li is protecting them."

Ye Yunxi and the others quickly got back into their car and drove towards the base building.

It was only a few minutes' drive from the hospital to the base building. We arrived here quickly and found no one around, but there was a large pile of mutated rat corpses on the ground.

Fu Heng led the way, when suddenly two mutated rats ran out from the side. Fu Heng immediately fired his gun, killing the mutated rats with two shots.

Li Yan and his men were fighting the mutated rats on the other side, unaware that Ye Yunxi and Fu Heng had arrived.

There are too many mutated rats here, so we can only have Chief Wu, Elder Ye, and the other doctors hide in the secret compartments and wait until they are all eliminated before we go find the chief and the others.

Fu Heng and Ye Yunxi led Chen Zhe, Xuan Yu, and the others towards the other side of the base building, when they heard gunshots coming from the backyard.

They saw Li Yan leading people in a fight against the mutated rats.

Without saying a word, they stepped forward to help, raising their pistols and firing at the mutated rats.

Hearing the gunshot from the side, Li Yan turned around and saw Ye Yunxi and the others. He smiled at them and continued fighting the mutated rats.

With their help, things became much easier for Li Yan. The mutated rats were wiped out in no time.

Li Yan put away his gun and walked towards Ye Yunxi and the others, smiling as he spoke.

"How did you get here?"

Ye Yunxi replied to Li Yan, "We're here to help you."

Li Yan smiled and spoke to them.

"By the way, the base chief and Elder Ye are in the hidden compartment. Let's go find them now."

Ye Nuli and the others followed Li Yan to the third floor, where they arrived at a hidden compartment. They gently knocked on the door and said...

"Reporting to Chief Wu, this is Li Yan. The mutated rats outside have been eliminated. You can come out now."
