Chapter 935 Will I be silenced? (2/2)

"Xiaoyu, I was just joking. It's okay, you stay home." The third brother chuckled twice, and Li Mancang gave him two kicks on the buttocks. He was so unreliable.

The two drove to Old Man Guan's place, and Li Mancang called several more times, but this time he couldn't get through.

Li Mancang frowned.

"Still not answering?"

"They wouldn't answer before, and now I can't get through."

The third brother slammed on the gas pedal. Had this old guy gone too far?

The two arrived at Old Man Guan's house, but the gate was closed.

The third brother pushed the door twice but couldn't open it. He called for a long time, but no one came out to open it.

Heat was rising from the courtyard, and although there were people there, no one answered.

Both father and son had a bad feeling.

"Dad, get away from me, I'm going to kick the door open!" the third son cried out anxiously.

Li Mancang grabbed the third brother and said, "I'm no good. Can you manage on your own?"

The third brother... he has to do it, no matter what. If he's a little late, the old man will die.

Li Mancang hid to the side and called his second brother, telling them to come over quickly.

The third brother took a few steps back, ran up, and kicked the door. The door slammed a few times but didn't open.

The third brother shook his numb leg, and this time he used all his strength to kick the door open with a bang, and the door swayed back and forth several times.

Li Mancang and Lao San quickly entered the hospital.

Changshun stood at the door, holding a shovel. "What are you doing? Are you trying to rob me?"

"Bullshit! What's there to steal from your house? Where's my Lord Guan?" The third brother pushed Li Mancang out the door.

"What do you mean, 'grandpa'? You're just here to rob us, get out of here!" Changshun gripped the shovel tightly in his hand.

"Old Guan, Old Guan, are you still alive? If you die, I won't care about you anymore!" the third brother shouted, pulling at his neck as he tried to hide at the door. Even a hero can't withstand a big iron shovel; he couldn't force his way in, after all, he was just a mortal.

Li Mancang silently handed two bricks to the third brother, and took two bricks for himself as well.

"I'm inside, Changshun, let them in," came a soft voice from inside the house; it was Old Man Guan.

Changshun glared at the two men, while the third brother, Li Mancang, was carrying a brick.

"Go inside," the old lady said to Li Mancang as she came out of the house, her eyes filled with hostility.

“I’ll go in, you stay outside,” Li Mancang said to the third brother.

"I'll go in," the third brother said, still worried.

Li Mancang glared at the third brother, picked up the brick and went inside. What use was he at his age? People were just playing with him.

"Dad, be careful," the third son said worriedly.

"Our home isn't a den of dragons or tigers. If you hadn't kicked down the door, would my son have been in such a state?" The old lady glared fiercely at Li Mancang.

"If you had opened the door, would I have kicked it?" the third brother sneered.

The old lady said, "This is my house. I can open it whenever I want, and I can stay home whenever I want. Coming to my door on the 30th of the month, with absolutely no manners!"

Li Mancang didn't have time to chat with the old lady and hurried into the house. The old lady followed her in and saw Old Man Guan lying on the kang (a heated brick bed) in the innermost room. The old man's face was pale and he looked very weak. Changshun's son was sitting next to Old Man Guan.

"Uncle Guan, what's wrong?" Li Mancang tightened his grip on the brick in his hand, asking the old man Guan while keeping his eyes on Changshun's son.

"I fell and broke my leg last night, it might be broken," Old Man Guan said weakly.

"You have a fracture, why didn't you go to the hospital?"

“There’s no fracture, just a sprain. I’m a medical student, and I can tell the bone is fine. The hospital told us to go home and rest, but my grandpa will have to suffer a bit,” Changshun’s son said with a smile.
