A friend of Xu Yanfeng met an acquaintance at a hotel.
That acquaintance was none other than Xu Yanfeng's girlfriend from university, who was now a thing of the past.
The two greete...
Xu Yanfeng looked at the marriage certificate, and Xia Xi looked at Xu Yanfeng, thinking that he looked silly and worthy of taking a photo as a souvenir. However, before she could take out her phone, the man had already put the marriage certificate away and turned to look at her: "Where do you want to go for dinner?"
Xia Xi silently put the phone back: "You decide." After thinking for a moment, she made a request, "Don't be too far away from my company."
She has to go to work in the afternoon, so it's too far and inconvenient.
Xu Yanfeng looked straight ahead, calmed himself down, and started the car.
The restaurant was less than a twenty-minute drive from Xia Xi's workplace, so Xu Yanfeng requested a private room. Xia Xi was thirsty, so she sat down and drank two cups of tea. The task of ordering the food was left to Xu Yanfeng.
I spent several hours waiting in line this morning, but it took less than ten minutes to get the certificate. It's funny to think about it.
Xia Xi quenched her thirst and drank her tea slowly. Suddenly, she remembered that Xu Yanfeng had smiled at her inexplicably before she applied for the certificate. When she asked him what he was laughing at, he didn't say. She put down her teacup, waited for the waiter to leave, and asked him with her chin in her hand: "Before, in the Civil Affairs Bureau, I had just woken up and you smiled at me. What were you laughing at?"
Xu Yanfeng slowly poured himself some tea, took a sip, and said, "I laughed because I was surprised you could still sleep at that moment. How could you not be nervous or excited at all? Later, I noticed your face was tense when you were filling out the form, and I realized I was wrong. It turns out you get nervous too, but your reaction is slower."
As if she hadn't expected to hear such an answer, Xia Xi's expression was dull for a few seconds, and then she frowned and pretended to be angry: "You are the one who reacts slowly!"
Xu Yanfeng smiled and didn't argue with her.
The dishes were a little slow to arrive, but thankfully they were delicious, with nothing to fault, so Xia Xi ate with great satisfaction. The soup had just arrived, steaming hot, and Xu Yanfeng took an empty bowl and poured one out for her, placing a porcelain spoon inside.
Xia Xi noticed his thoughtfulness. She swallowed the crispy chicken cubes in her mouth and stared at him.
His fingers were stained with oil, so Xu Yanfeng wiped them with a tissue and looked at her: "Is the soup too hot? Drink it later."
Xia Xi pursed her lips, resisting the urge to raise them. She leaned her head closer to him, her mouth almost kissing his ear, but she couldn't hold it back, and raised the corners of her lips: "Thank you, husband."
Her voice was as light as a petal falling on his ear, or more like a gust of wind blowing past, and it disappeared before he had time to feel it.
After a moment of silence, Xu Yanfeng tilted his head to look at her. Her eyes were crooked, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and there seemed to be stars twinkling in her eyes, bright and lively. Seeing his reaction, Xia Xi put a hand on his shoulder: "Didn't you hear clearly?"
He heard it clearly, but Xu Yanfeng didn't want to admit it. He turned his ear to the side and faced her with a serious expression, but his other hand slowly tightened, and his Adam's apple rolled unconsciously: "Well, I didn't hear it clearly."
Xia Xi didn't bother to tell if he really didn't hear her or was just teasing her. She cleared her throat, her voice a little louder than before, and leaned closer to his ear again, repeating, "Thank you, husband."
She spouted the last four words one by one. Don't say he didn't hear clearly, he's not deaf.
Xu Yanfeng tilted his head, his black and white eyes filled with deep emotions, and the corners of his mouth lifted up a little, as if in a slow motion in a movie, and every change could be clearly seen - Xia Xi could see that he liked this name very much, but maybe he was not used to it, so his reaction was a little strange.
It's legal, so it's okay to shout a few more times. Xia Xi smiled and said, "Husband, you are so nice."
Xu Yanfeng hooked his palm around the back of her neck and pressed her towards him. Without warning, he pressed his lips against hers, sucking and licking. The kiss was so fierce that Xia Xi was firmly under his control, unable to perform any other movements. She was forced to kiss him. She swallowed a mouthful of saliva, not knowing whose it was. Her face flushed red, and from a distance, she looked like a ripe apple.
Xia Xi felt hot-headed and dizzy, her consciousness gradually became confused, and she thought vaguely that she should call him by this name more often in the future, otherwise she would not be able to bear such a strong reaction every time.
After dinner, Xu Yanfeng drove Xia Xi to the company with a happy face.
Xia Xi sat in the passenger seat, holding up a mirror to touch up her makeup, especially her lipstick, which she carefully applied an extra layer of. Putting the mirror away, she glanced to the side and was about to speak when his cell phone rang.
Xu Yanfeng was not in a position to answer the phone, so he raised his chin and said without even glancing at it: "Help me answer it."
Xia Xi picked up the phone from the armrest box, lowered her eyes and saw the caller ID: "It's from Tang Yizhou." After reporting, she pressed the answer button and turned on the hands-free function.
Tang Yizhou's lazy voice came over, unserious: "I said you went to Antarctica to get your marriage certificate, but there's been no news all morning. Are you done? How about setting up a table to celebrate tonight? It's been so long since we last got together."
Xu Yanfeng looked straight ahead and said leisurely, "It's done. No need to celebrate, there's no time."
"Xu Er, you're awesome. You've just gotten married and you already don't care about your brothers. How can I count on you in the future?" Tang Yizhou didn't waste any more time talking to him. "I've sent the address to your phone. We're all here. It's up to you whether you want to come or not."
Without giving Xu Yanfeng a chance to speak again, the other party hung up the phone.
Xia Xi raised the corner of his mouth slightly, put the phone back in the armrest, and asked Xu Yanfeng: "Do you want to come over tonight?"
"Let them, I won't go."
"You go ahead."
"You want me to go?"
"Didn't I say we were celebrating for you?" Xia Xi's slight resentment towards Tang Yizhou had long since vanished with the passage of time. "How can they celebrate if the main character isn't going?"
Xu Yanfeng raised his eyebrows slightly and looked at her: "Will you come with me?"
