Chapter 21 Brother, Something's Wrong

"It's good that you have this idea, but you'll have to ask for a higher price." Duan Bohai already treats Lin Hu like his own son. Although Duan Linzhou is quite good, he's too mature and doesn't have the youthful energy of Lin Hu.

“Yes, definitely.” Lin Hu nodded, but he didn’t know that while he thought 10 level-3 crystal cores were high enough, Duan Bohai was actually looking for a price of 15 to 20 level-3 crystal cores.

"Stop chatting, everyone's been running around all day and we're all hungry." Jiang Qiaomei patted Duan Bohai's arm.

"How about we make dumplings tonight? I'll roll out the dough," Jiang Qiaomei continued. Although her family is from the south, they prefer to roll out the dough themselves, thinking that machine-made dumpling wrappers from outside don't taste good. During the Lunar New Year, her family likes to gather around a table to make dumplings, and she has learned how to make the dough and roll out the wrappers.

"Okay, but should we all take a shower first?" Lin Hu replied. He had been very careful when he was taking out the crystal cores today, but he still couldn't help getting a lot of black blood from the zombies on his body.

After Lin Hu's reminder, everyone seemed to suddenly regain their sense of smell and immediately felt that the odor on their bodies was particularly pungent and unpleasant.

"The current conditions don't allow it, so let's just bear with it," Wen Mofei said.

"That's not necessarily true." Lin Hu said, finding a relatively large open space and taking out the hot spring pool that he had casually put in his backpack when he left.

"You even brought this with you?" Duan Linzhou was surprised that Lin Hu would have managed to bring this along in his haste.

"Mm." Lin Hu nodded.

"Is this a hot spring? If I bathe in it, won't I pollute the water?" Wen Mofei looked at the white steam rising from the water and went over to test the water temperature with his hand.

"No, the water is continuous; it will be replaced with fresh water after each use," Lin Hu explained, pouring a bottle of dark green ink into the water, instantly making it muddy. Then he reached out and touched a rock on the edge of the hot spring pool that looked like an ordinary artificial hill.

The originally murky water gradually became clear, an act that broadened everyone's horizons once again.

Previously, when Duan Linzhou mentioned that Lin Hu was a lucky person, everyone assumed that it was something he had come up with, but they never expected him to be such a lucky person.

Everyone agreed: She's incredibly lucky!

Lin Hu gave Jiang Qiaomei and Duan Bohai two bottles of shampoo and shower gel that he had just bought from the supermarket, and told them to go upstairs to shower first.

The rest of them went downstairs to get ingredients; some washed the vegetables, while Wang Fuqing, Duan Linzhou, and Wen Mofei chopped the meat together.

Lin Hu planned to make more to sell at the market. Although the dumpling wrappers might not have any medicinal properties, the pork was raised on his island using spiritual spring water, so its effects were definitely there. Although it only increased stamina, he could cook it in ginger soup.

Lin Hu took out a stainless steel basin and sat down to peel corn kernels, while Wen Mofei washed scallions and kept talking to Lin Hu, mostly about their past and Duan Linzhou's embarrassing moments.

"It's a pity he lost his phone, otherwise I would show you the two big blushes his teacher drew on his face when he participated in a class play when he was a child."

Wen Mofei was still smiling and wanted to share the photos with Lin Hu, unaware that Duan Linzhou had already given him a lot of glares from the side.

"It is a pity," Lin Hu replied. He did indeed want to see an unflattering photo of Duan Linzhou.

As they were talking, Lin Hu changed to a stainless steel basin and boiled water on the side, intending to blanch some cabbage and then make a cabbage and pork filling.

When they were almost done, Jiang Qiaomei and Duan Bohai also finished showering and changed into the pajamas provided by Lin Hu before coming downstairs. Seeing everyone working so enthusiastically, Jiang Qiaomei and Duan Bohai joined in as well.

Jiang Qiaomei took out the high-gluten flour needed for the dumpling wrappers and prepared to knead the dough. Duan Bohai, seeing that he had nothing to do, went to sit down first.

Within minutes, they finished what they were doing and went upstairs to take a shower to get rid of the smell.

None of the five grown men minded, so they all took off their clothes and went into the water, washing themselves and putting on the pajamas that Lin Hu had given them.

However, these pajamas are a bit unconventional. Lin Hu's is a green onesie dinosaur pajamas, Wen Mofei's is a yellow onesie giraffe pajamas with brown spots, Wen Bozhi's is an orange fox pajamas, and Wang Fuqing's is a panda pajamas.

Duan Linzhou seemed out of place, having brought a set of smooth spring and autumn pajamas, which he had obtained from opening a diamond treasure chest. He had many in his wardrobe, but Lin Hu hadn't thought to bring them and hadn't kept a couple in his storage room as spares.

Lin Hu was annoyed as he looked at Duan Linzhou, who had brought his own pajamas without reminding him to bring his as well.

If it weren't for the huge pile of bedroom supplies at the supermarket entrance, he would have had to endure the discomfort and put his old clothes back on.

"I thought you would wear it yourself. I'll help you wear it next time." Duan Linzhou suppressed his laughter at the other person's appearance and reached out to pull up the dinosaur hat and put it on the other person's head.

Lin Hu slapped the other person's hand away, put away the hot spring pool, and walked downstairs, with Duan Linzhou following behind.

"Don't you guys think Brother Duan is acting strange?" Wen Mofei still felt something was off, so she said it out loud.

"You're only just realizing something's wrong?" Wen Bozhi said before going downstairs, leaving Wang Fuqing and Wen Mofei looking at each other in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Wang Fuqing asked.

“I don’t know either,” Wen Mofei replied.

The two went downstairs together. Jiang Qiaomei had already prepared the dough and was now rolling out dumpling wrappers with Duan Bohai, while Lin Hu and the others sat down to make dumplings. Forgetting about the earlier issue, the two rolled up their sleeves and joined in.

"Whatever filling you like, wrap them up and set them aside. We'll cook them in batches later," Jiang Qiaomei said, still rolling out dumpling wrappers.
