Bu Ling, a vagabond from the apocalypse, transmigrates to a fictional seventies era. She faces a hellish starting difficulty. After a month of playing nice, she eventually sends off all of the orig...
Grandpa Wu nodded silently.
The courtyard was deathly silent.
"Hiss---" Aunt Tian gasped.
"My goodness, Jiang Hua is such a vicious girl, she's trying to kill Xiao Bu."
Jiang Hua's two older brothers, Jiang Nian and Jiang Sheng, were in the crowd watching the commotion. Hearing Wu Yuanyuan's words, their faces darkened.
"You can't just say things like that," Jiang Nian cautioned.
“Qian Xingyan said it himself. You can ask Grandpa Qian if you don’t believe me,” Wu Yuanyuan said.
When Grandpa Qian was mentioned, Qian Xinglai suddenly remembered, "Where's my dad?"
"Grandpa Qian is in the back, and he's fighting with Jiang Hua and her daughter." Wu Yuanyuan dropped another bombshell.
"What?"
Sister-in-law Xu and Sister-in-law Zhou were born at the same time with surprise.
Their father-in-law?
My father-in-law, who's always so cheerful, got into a fight with two women.
The two sisters-in-law exchanged a glance; it seemed it was true.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to push their good-natured father-in-law to this point.
Qian Xingliang, the second son of the Qian family, asked, "What about my younger brother?"
"He'll be sent to the most difficult labor camp, probably for at least fifteen years, and that's assuming Bu Ling doesn't pursue the matter." Wu Yuanyuan was very conscientious as a teacher; whenever someone asked, she would explain diligently.
The Qian brothers both looked grim. Despite their own past conflicts, they were still brothers from the same mother, and hearing of their youngest brother's fate naturally pained them.
They blamed Bu Ling and Jiang Hua, but they also knew that Bu Ling was a victim in this matter, and it would be unreasonable to blame her, especially since she didn't pursue the matter further.
"Then, what about Jiang Hua? Is she alright?" Sister-in-law Zhou asked. She looked down on her brother-in-law, but hearing about his fate, she couldn't help but sigh.
"Jiang Hua insisted that she was just saying it casually, pushing all the blame onto Qian Xingyan. She claimed Qian Xingyan was at most just being nosy, and bore no responsibility whatsoever." Wu Yuanyuan had also learned some Spring and Autumn Annals grammar.
As Bu Ling walked to the door, she heard Wu Yuanyuan's words and almost couldn't help but laugh. "Sister Yuanyuan has improved!"
Next, Wu Yuanyuan vividly recounted what happened at the police station to her gossipy neighbors, striving not to miss a single detail.
Bu Ling had told her that it was best to strike first, and then they would see how Jiang Hua could put on an act.
