Humans have Three Souls and Seven Spirits, ghosts have Nine Netherworld Obsessions and Five Aggregates of Fire. But from the time I was born, I was missing an Earth Soul.
From a young age, I ...
Seeing that I was standing still, Su Mingyang urged me impatiently again.
"Get in the car quickly!"
The sound was sharp and piercing, like a sharp fingernail scraping against glass.
In the dim light, I noticed that Su Mingyang's face had become distorted and deformed with anger.
Even her skin was no longer a normal color, but a pale white with a bluish-gray tinge.
Her once round face now looked as if something was squeezing it from the inside, and her features were somewhat displaced.
"Why aren't you getting on the bus? Why aren't you getting on the bus!"
Su Mingyang's voice grew increasingly shrill as he urged them on, then abruptly pushed open the car door, grabbed the black umbrella, and staggered out of the car.
Seeing this, I strode forward and slapped the black umbrella out of his hand.
The raindrops, upon touching his face, felt like strong acid being splashed on him, producing a hissing, corrosive sound, and wisps of pungent white smoke rose up.
His face began to change color at a visible speed, from an eerie bluish-gray to a chilling dark red.
Then, with a whoosh, Su Mingyang's body seemed to be set ablaze, bursting forth with eerie blue flames that engulfed his body.
His limbs writhed and twisted in the flames, but he couldn't escape. He stumbled toward me, screaming shrilly.
"Why aren't you getting on the bus? Why aren't you getting on the bus yet?"
I turned and ran.
Before I could run more than a few dozen meters, a car suddenly sped out from the side road and almost hit me.
The car's headlights were so bright they hurt my eyes, and I could vaguely see a figure getting out of the car.
When I looked closely, I realized it was Su Mingyang.
"Old Chen, why were you running away just now...?"
Before he could finish speaking, I punched him hard in the cheek.
Am I doomed to die today?
Then I'll fight you to the death!
Su Mingyang was punched, his body swayed violently, and he almost fell to the ground.
He covered his face and yelled at me angrily, "Chen Yan, are you fucking crazy?!"
I gathered all my strength and kicked Su Mingyang hard in the stomach, knocking him to the ground.
I guess I kicked him and he choked; he clutched his stomach and opened his mouth in pain but couldn't utter a single word.
"Am I the one who's sick or are you guys sick? I've done nothing to you, you son of a bitch, just go and reincarnate, and stop bothering me here!"
"If you dare to bother me again, I'll scatter your ashes! I'll make sure you don't even have the chance to be a ghost!"
After cursing me, he jumped into the car that was still running, slammed on the gas, and the car roared off.
Looking in the rearview mirror, I saw Su Mingyang chasing after me while cursing, and in the end he was crawling on the ground on all fours like a spider.
I didn't dare stop, and after getting on the main road, I sped along, heading wherever there were crowds.
I drove until the rooster crowed and the air became slightly cool before finally parking my car in front of the police station.
The yang energy is strong here.
Although it was not yet six o'clock, street cleaners were already sweeping the streets, and people doing morning exercises and selling breakfast were out.
I walked up to a breakfast cart, bought a basket of steamed buns and a cup of soy milk, and squatted down by the flower bed.
While eating, I kept thinking about what happened last night.
By the time I came to my senses, the breakfast cart was long gone.
I took out my phone to check the time, only to find that it was turned off.
I scanned a power bank in front of the convenience store and it was charging when Su Mingyang called.
"Where are you?"
I looked around.
People were coming and going around, and the police station was just over 100 meters away. Two men in police uniforms with pistols hanging from their waists looked particularly reassuring.
I said I was at the entrance of Longquan Police Station.
"I'll be right there!"
About half an hour after I hung up the phone, a taxi stopped in front of me.
Su Mingyang, supporting himself on the car door, limped out of the car.
He was soaking wet, covered in rainwater and mud, and had a bruise on the corner of his mouth, as if he had been beaten.
I looked at him in surprise: "What happened? Did you get into a fight?"
To everyone's surprise, Su Mingyang's eyes instantly turned red upon hearing this.
He grabbed my collar and yelled at me, "You still have the nerve to ask me who I fought with?"
"Mmm!"
Su Mingyang was instantly furious: "You still have a 'huh'? You make a phone call, and I leave my woman behind to come find you. You run away halfway there saying you need to take a dump, and when you come back, without saying a word, you punch me twice!"
Well……
Could it be that I got on the right bus the first time I got on last night?
Did they get tricked by the ghost again?
Su Mingyang grew angrier as he spoke, veins bulging on his neck: "The worst part is that you drove my car away and left me in the middle of nowhere! Do you know how I walked all the way back? Do you know?!"
I looked at him apologetically and explained, "Last night, something evil disguised itself as you to deceive me, and in the end, I couldn't tell who was who."
I told him what had happened last night.
After I finished speaking, I couldn't help but add, "Bro, I really didn't mean to. Besides, why didn't you yell? If you had yelled, I definitely would have stopped the car!"
Having finally calmed down, Su Mingyang became incredibly agitated again: "Why didn't I shout? But the more I shouted, the faster you ran!"
I coughed twice: "It's not my fault! You were crawling on the ground like a human spider, so I didn't dare to stop the car!"
Su Mingyang pointed to his swollen right leg, his eyes brimming with tears: "I fucking sprained my ankle, I sprained my ankle!"
