Flowing Light Side Story 1

Within the realm of flowing light and illusion.

The seven people had just been teleported in, and while the spiritual energy was still in disarray, they were drenched in a torrential downpour.

The weather was unpredictable; the torrential rain had just stopped when the sun came out immediately, and two overlapping rainbows appeared over the distant mountains.

Everyone kept in mind the sect elders' reminder that the main purpose of this trip was to collect rare and precious materials, and that their own safety was the top priority.

The seven of them walked in one direction for a while, but the spiritual energy here was thin, and they did not find any precious spiritual herbs.

As night fell, the seven men, though gradually making some gains, grew increasingly nervous.

The problem now is where to spend the night, and to be on the safe side, they didn't go into the woods.

As the group stood there at a loss, a cacophony of shouts and noises, like those from a market, rose in the distance.

Looking further, I saw lights twinkling in the woods not far away, stretching out in a long line. I could make out shadowy figures in the distance, and there was an eerie aura about them, but it wasn't strong.

After discussing it, the group decided to go closer and take a look.

They hadn't gone far when a structure resembling a memorial archway appeared before the seven, with the words "Night Spirit Village" crookedly written on it.

Just past the archway, a village came into view, with some houses and sheds made of trees, showing that the village's aesthetics were still in a very backward state.

The seven men gripped their weapons tightly and carefully moved forward.

It's clear that the inhabitants here are all demons, because their human forms retain their individual characteristics, making it easy to identify what kind of demon they are at a glance.

After a round of searching, they found no danger and no place to eat or stay, so they weren't disappointed.

After all, it's a demon village. Even if there are restaurants, they might not be able to eat there. Who knows what dishes they'll serve?

Who are you?

Just as the seven people were about to leave, a little fairy emerged from a dilapidated shed nearby. She looked to be about seven or eight years old in human terms. She was entirely green, with pointed ears, wearing a tattered and oversized cloth robe, and a vine tied around her waist as a belt.

"Wow, what an adorable little fairy."

Yan Susu rushed up and hugged her. The little vixen tried to dodge but clearly couldn't, so she was hugged tightly.

I hadn't even had a chance to stop Yan Susu from saying anything more.

The little fairy burst into tears, leaving Yan Susu somewhat at a loss.

Mu Qingyan, who had been by Ling Youze's side, saw that the little vixen was not in any danger, so she stepped forward.

He took the fairy's little hand and said gently, "Hello, little sister, can you tell me your name?"

"My name is Yao Yao."

The little one stopped crying and looked at Mu Qingyan.

"Hello Yao Yao, can you answer a few questions for Sister Mu?"

The little fairy nodded.

"Yaoyao, is this your home?"

Mu Qingyan pointed to a dilapidated wooden shed next to her.

The fairy nodded

Are your parents home?

Unexpectedly, the fairy started crying again after hearing this. Mu Qingyan had to coax her for a while before she understood that the little fairy's parents had passed away.

Her brother fought with someone to protect her and fainted.

Finally, he asked Mu Qingyan, "Sister, can you save my brother?"

The group was moved and felt sorry for the little vixen. Yan Susu was more than willing, but Mu Qingyan dared not agree so easily.

Looking up at Ling Youze, Ling Youze discussed it with Hang Fengcheng and felt that they should help if they could. Xue Mingqingqiong also agreed.

Qin Weiyu kept staring at the little vixen without saying a word.

Everyone looked at her, and she simply smiled slightly and said "okay".

For some reason, the little fairy hid behind Mu Qingyan, seemingly a little afraid of Qin Weiyu.

Having made their decision, the seven of them filed into the little fairy's wooden shed, where she said her brother was unconscious.

Mu Qingyan led the way, holding the hand of the fairy Yao Yao. Qin Weiyu walked at the very back, while Ling You walked next to her because he was paying attention to Qin Weiyu.

The shed doesn't look very big from the outside, but once you go inside, you'll find that there's plenty of space. It's surrounded by stone walls, and the front is deep and dark with no end in sight.

The demonic aura was much stronger than in the village, and the path they had come from was no longer visible.

Mu Qingyan, who was still holding the little fairy's hand, was already drenched in sweat.

As if sensing something, the little fairy raised her head and asked, "What's wrong, Sister Mu? Are you hot?"

"Oh, no...no, um, Yao Yao, your house is much bigger than it looks from the outside."

The little fairy said, "Of course! Our family is the biggest in the village!"

Mu Qingyan sweated even more and asked with difficulty, "Then why is Yao Yao's house so big?"

"Because my brother likes big,"

"You just said your brother is unconscious, right?"

"Yes."

"How long has he been unconscious?"

The little fairy counted on her fingers for a while, then looked up and said with a smile, "Because it was too long, I don't remember."

Mu Qingyan tried to break free and retreat, but countless tendrils sprang from the little fairy's hand, and Mu Qingyan was tied up tightly before she even had a chance to fight back.

Hang Fengcheng, who was closest to them, reacted first and attacked the little demon with his sword.

Just then, things took a sudden turn for the worse, with a loud roar followed by a shaking.

The wind blew violently through the passage, creating a powerful pull from the depths of the tunnel, drawing several people uncontrollably into its deepest part.

By the time they realized what was happening, they were already inside a stone cave.

His body was entangled in mid-air by tree roots as thick as a bowl, and the source of the roots was the only bed inside the cave.
