Shocked! What to Do When I Want to Hear Him Call Me 'Ge' Every Day

Gentle, rational, and inwardly strong gong (Jiang Xu) vs. genius, madman, emotionally stunted shou (Gu Li).

Jiang Xu was reborn, and coincidentally, the person he was reborn as was also named...

Chapter 60 Service

Gu Li happened to be sitting on the sofa as well. He turned his head to look at the stars in the sky and asked, "Do you have a performance?"

Jiang Xu: "No."

Gu Li switched her phone to the other side, turning completely to the side to look at the stars in the sky. "So, are we going to join in the fun?"

Jiang Xu thought for a moment, "You could say that. I'll take you to my department's event to join in the fun. Do you have time?"

Gu Li asked, rubbing his fingertips. "Will you sit next to me?"

Jiang Xu: "Probably not."

Gu Li listened to Jiang Xu's voice and said, "Then I won't go. I'll come to support you next time you perform." He seemed rather uninterested.

Jiang Xu's voice was tinged with laughter, "Don't refuse so quickly," he sighed softly, "If you're willing to reserve a place for me next to you, I think I'll appear in that position immediately after I finish arranging the order."

Gu Li turned up the volume on her phone, but when she saw that it was already at maximum, she said, "Then I'll pick a more conspicuous spot, so you can't be so quick."

Jiang Xu pointed at the back of the sofa, "Trust me, you'll stand out no matter where you sit."

Gu Li: "There's nothing I can do about it, being too outstanding is what it is."

Jiang Xu: "Shall we go out together tomorrow?"

Gu Li, "Want to have breakfast together?"

Jiang Xu tapped the phone case. "How about including a wake-up service?"

Gu Li: "Should I call you or should you call me?"

Jiang Xu, "Do you want to provide services or be provided with services?"

Gu Li said, "I think men should be self-reliant, and it's good enough that we can rely on ourselves."

Jiang Xu said, "Great minds think alike." The clock showed that it was getting late. "See you tomorrow, Gu Li."

Gu Li was lost in thought. He didn't speak for a while, then suddenly asked, "Jiang Xu," he said in a low voice, "how many stars are in the sky?"

Jiang Xu's voice didn't falter at all, "Ten, right?"

Gu Li said, “You’re right,” his low voice carrying a faint smile. “Brother Xu.” He called out to Jiang Xu, “See you tomorrow, Brother Xu.” His voice carried his emotions, a mixture of drowsiness and anticipation.

Jiang Xu listened to Gu Li's voice trailing off, and then the call ended.

He thought, "The first installment is over so quickly. Even 10 times the amount might not be enough."

On a fine summer day, the morning sun wasn't too hot, enveloping the two people side by side.

Gu Li yawned, her voice hoarse from waking up early, "Is there anything you want to eat?"

Jiang Xu: "I haven't decided yet. Is there anything you'd like to eat?"

Gu Li said, "Then let's go to the shop and find those two guys. I'm sure they'll appreciate our kindness in inviting them to breakfast."

Jiang Xu glanced at Gu Li, whose hair looked very soft in the gentle light. "They probably won't be able to."

Gu Li gave Jiang Xu a mischievous smile, "Wouldn't that be even better? You can do good deeds anonymously."

Jiang Xu said, "Then go do good deeds." Softness was probably an illusion, but the demon did indeed have the appearance of an angel.

When they arrived at the store, Xie Tao was sitting at the cashier, deftly manipulating a jade abacus. He looked up at the door when he heard it open, then looked down again and continued manipulating the abacus. "Sit down first, we can talk later."

Gu Li pulled Jiang Xu to a seat far from the cashier. "Looks like we'll have to wait a while. Xie Tao won't stop fiddling with the abacus until he's finished."

Jiang Xu pulled up his chair and sat up straight. "It's alright, there's no rush."

Gu Li thought for a moment, "How about we go upstairs and offer them some services?"

Jiang Xu seemed to have thought of something, "Call for service?"

Gu Li gave Jiang Xu a look of affirmation and appreciation, and the two got up and headed for the stairs.

A person who is sleeping is about to suffer.

Xu Lang dreamed that he suddenly grew taller and became the tallest among them. Everyone else had to look up at him. He held his head high, full of pride and high spirits.

Xu Lang felt very satisfied with this, and he laughed triumphantly. But as he laughed, he found that he couldn't stop, and suddenly the dream turned into a nightmare.

Then Xu Lang woke up. He opened his eyes and realized that he was really laughing, and felt a ticklish sensation from the feathers tickling the soles of his feet.

He quickly pulled his legs back under the covers, turned his head and saw a figure. "Xie Tao, it's still early." He buried his face in the pillow before he could see the person clearly.

Gu Li put down the feather, stood at the foot of the bed and chuckled, his laughter particularly jarring in the quiet room. "Xu Lang," he said in a hoarse, aged voice, "look again at who I am."

Xu Lang suddenly snapped out of his daze and turned his head to look.

Jiang Xu saw people looking over, smiled, and raised his hand in greeting, "Good morning."

Xu Lang, "What...?"

Gu Li pounced on him, throwing himself onto the blanket and tucking Xu Lang back under it. "Where are you looking? Why aren't you looking at me, you heartless man?" His voice returned to normal, filled with a mournful tone mixed with the joy of a successful prank.

Xu Lang finally realized what was happening. "You're pulling this stunt so early in the morning, Gu Li?" He sat up abruptly, his face puffed out and his eyes flashing with anger.

Gu Li slid down a little with his help, then raised her head from her prone position to look at Xu Lang, blinking her eyes. "Good morning, A Lang." He smiled, his tone gentler than usual, as if he just wanted to say hello.

Xu Lang's anger subsided just like that. "Good morning, good morning. You had a great time, and your playmates were great too."

Gu Li turned to Jiang Xu and stretched out a hand, "Playmate, pull me up, I'm out of strength."

Jiang Xu grasped Gu Li's hand and pulled her up. "Hungry?"

Xu Lang threw back the covers. "He's not hungry, he's just suddenly feeling lazy." He sat up, the cartoon bear on his pajamas smiling. "Is Tao downstairs?"

Gu Li said, "Yeah, we were downstairs just now too," he emphasized, then turned to look at Jiang Xu, "Now you know who's lazy, right?"

Xu Lang said, "Don't ruin my image. I've been working hard to make money late into the night, so it's normal for me to get up late."

Gu Li wondered, "I wonder who was frantically messaging the group last night about 'game online'."

Xu Lang: "Tao only took my phone because he was embarrassed."

Gu Li: "I see. Then I'll go down and tell Tao that I'll be online on time tonight."

Xu Lang suddenly turned to look at Gu Li, "Then why didn't you come last night? You have no idea how much of a rip-off Lu Chao is. He made me lose so many points!" His tone was full of regret.

Gu Li tilted his head. "How come you're the one who got screwed over by Tao?" He smirked. "Chao is a player who relies on luck. Looks like he wasn't so lucky last night."

Xu Lang said, "Yeah, by the way, Jiang Xu, do you play mobile games?" He looked at Jiang Xu and said, "You can help me rank up."

Jiang Xu, "Which one are you playing?"

Gu Li said, "He and Lü Chao are always partying all night long."

Jiang Xu: "I do play, but it's been a long time since I've played."

Xu Lang's eyes lit up. "Wow, that's perfect! Let's do it together tonight!"

Gu Li said, "Xu Lang, you're not planning to bully your new friend, are you?" He cracked his knuckles, making a crisp "click" sound.
