【Mutual crush, redemption, deliberate seduction, ambiguous tension, double purity】
Su Yueming had a smooth life, getting whatever he wanted. However, he woke up to find himself imprisoned.
Chapter 11 You're Back
Wang Yan left home carrying the insulated box.
To prevent Su Yueming from escaping, they deliberately locked both doors from the inside.
Stepping out of the building, the ground was dampened by yesterday's heavy rain, and the air was filled with the fragrance of soil and grass.
Wang Yan took a deep breath.
He quite likes the taste.
As the electric scooter was unlocked, Wang Yan mounted it and sped away.
He didn't turn around, so he didn't see that the curtains in the fifth-floor bedroom were slowly drawn open, revealing his own bedroom, where Su Yueming was standing silently watching him.
He watched as Wang Yan's figure gradually disappeared from his sight.
As fate would have it, Wang Yan encountered Chi Qiu, who was walking to school, at an intersection.
At first, Wang Yan didn't see him, but heard someone calling his name, "Wang Yan".
That was the familiar voice of Ikegaoka.
Wang Yan instinctively squeezed the brakes, stopped the car, and then turned around.
"Chiqiu."
"It really is you! I thought I was seeing things." Chi Qiu walked quickly to him, smiling warmly. "Where's my breakfast? You didn't forget to bring it, did you?"
"Of course I haven't forgotten."
“Then we’ll still be good brothers.” Chi Qiu paused, raising an eyebrow slightly, having already made up his mind: “Since we’re already good brothers, then please give me a ride to school.”
Wang Yan rarely refuses others; he instinctively wants to say yes.
But as the words were on the tip of her tongue, the image of Su Yueming's allergy to perfume came to mind.
"You didn't wear perfume today, did you?"
Wang Yan tilted his head and asked Chi Qiu seriously.
"You sprayed it?" Chi Qiu blinked, a hint of gossip in his eyes. "What, you like the smell? Should I get you a bottle?"
"I'm sorry, I can't give you a ride."
Wang Yan refused Chi Qiu's offer.
"Why?" Chi Qiu stood by the roadside, his pupils dilating in shock.
"Because he is allergic to perfume."
"Who?" Chi Qiu instantly realized, "Your boyfriend?"
Wang Yan remained silent, neither saying yes nor no.
"Fine then." Chi Qiu looked heartbroken. "I never expected you to be someone who values women over friends. I misjudged you."
Wang Yan was amused by him, and a faint dimple appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Chi Qiu was stunned by his smile; it was the first time he had ever seen Wang Yan smile.
"You should smile more."
Wang Yan looked at Chi Qiu in astonishment, and the smile on his lips vanished completely.
"You have a beautiful smile."
Chi Qiu blinked his dark eyes and said seriously.
This was the first time someone had complimented Wang Yan on his beautiful smile. Wang Yan lowered his head, his chin almost touching his chest, and said, "Thank you."
Chi Qiu glanced down at his watch; it was almost eight o'clock.
He hurriedly waved to Wang Yan, "We're going to be late, you'd better hurry up."
"Okay, see you in the office."
Wang Yan started the car without hesitation, after all, being late would result in a deduction in pay.
He clocked in at the last minute, pushed open the office door, and saw Chi Qiu sitting in his seat, panting.
He placed the insulated box on Chi Qiu's desk. "Try it."
"What is it?"
"Noodles with braised meat sauce".
Chi Qiu raised an eyebrow. "I like to eat."
Without hesitation, he opened the insulated box and began to enjoy the food.
"It really is delicious."
While eating, he commented, "I think if you weren't a teacher anymore, you could open a small noodle shop."
Wang Yan suddenly remembered Su Yueming's praise that morning, saying that the braised noodles were delicious.
Perhaps he has some talent in this area?
But before he could even dream about the future, the words "terminal illness" entered his mind.
"When you open your noodle shop, remember to let me come and get some for free every day."
"good."
Wang Yan lowered his eyes, concealing the disappointment in them.
Chi Qiu eats very quickly; he finished the noodles with gravy in less than ten minutes.
He picked up a tissue to wipe his mouth, then turned to look at Wang Yan, "When are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?"
Sunlight streamed through the glass onto Wang Yan's open notebook, and fine dust particles danced in the beams of light.
"There's a chance, isn't there?"
Wang Yan's eyelashes trembled incessantly, his confidence clearly lacking.
"When will that be?" Chi Qiu pressed on relentlessly. "I'll give you my opinion then."
Wang Yan and Chi Qiu looked at each other. He knew that if he refused again, Chi Qiu would only become suspicious, so he said, "Okay, let me ask him when he has time."
"That's more like it."
A smile spread across Chi Qiu's face; he truly considered Wang Yan a friend.
Because he was very good at judging people. In the entire office, there were so many teachers, some who were better at talking than Wang Yan, and some who were better at handling affairs than Wang Yan, but none of them were as sincere as Wang Yan.
Although he was taciturn and seemed invisible, Chi Qiu could see the kindness in his heart.
Chi Qiu was also eager to see his girlfriend because of this; he was afraid that Wang Yan would be deceived.
Since Su Yueming moved into his home, Wang Yan has been checking the time much more often.
I couldn't wait to reach noon, but as the time came, it was already 11:30.
Outside, the sun was shining brightly, and the heat was so intense it felt like being inside a steamer, as if an egg cracked on the ground would turn into a poached egg in a second.
Wang Yan left the school as quickly as possible and rode his electric scooter to a large supermarket.
It's filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, beef, lamb, and pork.
The air conditioning inside was on full blast, instantly dispelling the heat brought in from outside. Wang Yan followed the crowd forward and headed straight for the pork stall.
He bent down and carefully selected a piece of pork belly.
I plan to make braised pork for Su Yueming when I get home later.
There weren't many people buying groceries at noon, so Wang Yan didn't have to queue and paid directly for the groceries.
As he turned around carrying the pork, Wang Yanwei paused for a moment, not seeing the exit.
Wang Yan doesn't usually come here to buy groceries. He often goes to a more remote market where he's a regular customer because he's very good at bargaining.
Every time he bargained, he made those shop owners suffer terribly.
"Hello, where is the exit?"
Wang Yan leaned forward and asked the staff member in a low voice.
"Go straight, then turn left."
"Thanks."
Following the directions given by the staff, Wang Yan successfully exited the large supermarket and went outside.
Perhaps because someone was waiting at home, a warm breeze brushed against Wang Yan's cheeks, and he didn't even notice the smile on his lips.
He unlocked the door with his key, and this time he didn't go into the kitchen first, but went straight to the bedroom.
To be honest, even though he had only been gone for a few hours, he really missed Su Yueming.
He slowly turned the bedroom doorknob, and this time, before Wang Yan could speak, he was back.
Su Yueming, who was lying on the big bed, turned his head to look at him and said, "You're back."
If you listen carefully, you can hear a faint hint of expectation in his voice.
