He is the decisive business emperor, and she is a charming, soft, and adorable student. Due to a mistaken blind date, he and she became the closest people on the household register.
From then...
Ni Sitian looked at Xu Tingchuan in the mirror, his hand around her neck, his eyes lowered as he tied her scarf. She felt that he was especially gentle at this moment, and her heart was filled with warmth.
"Do you like it?" After helping her tie the silk scarf, Xu Tingchuan looked up at her reflection in the mirror.
Ni Sitian snapped out of her daze, turned around, wrapped her arms around his neck, and tiptoed to kiss him on the cheek: "Consider it making up for your mistakes."
Xu Tingchuan cupped her face in his hands and lowered his head to kiss her fiercely.
After the kiss, Ni Sitian leaned against Xu Tingchuan's chest, slightly out of breath.
Suddenly, she snapped out of the lingering sensation of the kiss and abruptly pushed Xu Tingchuan away. "It's all your fault! I'm going to be late!"
She hurriedly grabbed her bag and rushed out.
Xu Tingchuan watched her flustered figure, shook his head helplessly and chuckled, "Slow down."
As he spoke, he followed her out the door.
He drove Ni Sitian to the company building. As Ni Sitian was about to open the door and get out of the car, he pulled her wrist and said, "Wait for me."
As soon as he finished speaking, Xu Tingchuan quickly got out of the car and ran to the other side of the road.
Ni Sitian got out of the car and waited outside.
A moment later, he ran back and shoved the bag in his hand into hers.
Ni Sitian looked down and saw sandwiches and milk. She was suddenly touched and looked up: "You ran so fast just to buy me breakfast?"
Xu Tingchuan raised his hand and ruffled her hair, smiling faintly: "Go in."
Ni Sitian nodded, turned around, took a few steps, then stopped and looked back to see Xu Tingchuan still standing there watching her.
"Go ahead." Xu Tingchuan waved his hand gently at her.
Ni Sitian turned back and ran to his side, throwing herself into his arms and hugging his waist.
Xu Tingchuan was stunned for a moment, then reached out and hugged her, patting her gently.
After hugging him, Ni Sitian felt a little embarrassed and let go.
For some reason, I just felt a little reluctant to part with him. Even though I can see him again when I get home after get off work, I still couldn't control the urge to hug him.
"Drive carefully." Ni Sitian lowered her head, a little shy.
"Mm." Xu Tingchuan stroked her hair and said softly, "Go to work."
Ni Sitian turned around, afraid that she would still feel reluctant, and didn't look back, striding towards the office building.
Xu Tingchuan watched her go inside before getting into his car and driving away.
When Ni Sitian entered the company, she was almost an hour late; the company's Monday meeting had already ended.
She walked towards Sister Chen, about to apologize for being late, when Sister Chen spoke first: "Sitian, you're here. I had something to discuss with you. Please have a seat."
Ni Sitian, not understanding what was going on, pulled over a chair and sat down next to her.
"The editor-in-chief said you have a good writing style." Sister Chen took a sip of tea and said slowly, "I wonder if you'd be interested in news gathering and editing?"
Ni Sitian was stunned. She was just a junior intern, and the tasks assigned to her were all unimportant. News editing and reporting had nothing to do with her. She didn't understand what Sister Chen meant by asking this question.
"Here's the thing, our company's financial magazine is short-staffed and we'd like to borrow some people. The editor-in-chief thinks you're quite suitable. What do you think?"
Ni Sitian was somewhat surprised to hear this. It sounded like a good thing, since financial magazines were naturally more promising than girls' magazines.
But why her?
She has absolutely no academic background in finance and doesn't understand these things.
"Anyway, it's just an internship, so just treat it as an opportunity to learn more." Sister Chen smiled faintly.
Ni Sitian hesitated for a moment, then nodded.
"Then pack your things and report to the 18th floor this afternoon." Sister Chen didn't say anything more and started working in front of the computer.
Ni Sitian got up and walked back to her seat, starting to pack her things with a bewildered look on her face.
