Chapter 7 Red Brick Factory (6) - Strange Giant Wind
Ning Shu stared intently at Wu Yi. When Wu Yi saw them sitting on the ground, he naturally sat down next to them, but didn't say anything.
Why do all three of you look so pale?
Li Lin was observant and noticed something was off about the three people sitting in a row.
Zhu Peng's excited expression vanished, and he looked at them with a puzzled expression. Even the handsome guy with heterochromia looked over.
"My whole body ached when I came out of the passage, didn't you?"
Seeing that neither of the two people beside her spoke, Ning Shu had to answer.
"No, are you alright now?" Li Lin shook her head and asked with concern.
"I'm feeling better now."
Zhu Peng squinted at the three of them, but before he could speak, he heard a loud "bang" from the window.
The window glass is broken; there's a huge hole in it.
Everyone was startled, but some were secretly pleased to see the window shattered.
This means we can get out, as long as we climb over that window.
Some people felt something was wrong. Did the window explode spontaneously or was it hit by something? Either way, it didn't look good.
Ning Shu holds the latter view.
The three people who were sitting immediately stood up, knowing they could run away if anything happened.
"When did it get dark outside? There was still light when we came from that side." Li Lin suddenly felt something was wrong.
Ning Shugang was in so much pain that she lost consciousness and forgot to tell them about her discovery immediately.
"Yeah, it gets dark way too fast," Zhu Peng agreed, walking towards the window to see if he could climb out.
Li Lin followed along, also wanting to know what was wrong with the window.
The others followed, and Ning Shu had no choice but to follow as well. However, she noticed that the madman with heterochromia hadn't followed, and she felt something was amiss.
"Don't you guys think the wind has gotten stronger here? Did you feel any wind just now?"
Ning Shu suddenly tugged at Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi's sleeves at the very back. It would have been better if she hadn't said anything, because it turned out to be true.
Just as Cheng Chuan was about to say something, he realized that he almost couldn't stand up, as the wind suddenly picked up.
The three of them reacted immediately and grabbed the nearest railing.
Ning Shu couldn't open her eyes because her face was being constantly "slapped" by the wind-blown hair, making her nose and eyes squeezed together.
She gripped the railing with one hand and used the other to brush the hair from her face before she could see what was happening.
It turned out that the broken window was "sucking" them in, and the people inside were blown about.
"Ahhh—"
Even with his size, Zhu Peng, who was closest to the window, was blown away.
Just moments ago he naively thought he could climb out the window, but now he just wants to find a way to stay.
What chance would he have of surviving if blown away by such a wind? He's not stupid.
Li Lin squatted down and hugged the railing, but she was too thin and was eventually "sucked up" before Zhu Peng.
The veins on her hands, which were gripping the railing, were bulging, but she still couldn't hold on. Just as she was about to be "sucked away," Wu Yi, who was closest to her, took a few steps forward and grabbed her hand.
Wu Yi lived up to his long legs, catching up in just a few steps. Ning Shu thought that if she were to try to catch him, they would probably both be "sucked away".
Wu Yi grabbed the person with one hand and the railing with the other. The strong wind distorted the person's face, making him look truly "ferocious".
Fearing that Wu Yi wouldn't be able to hold on for long, Cheng Chuan strode forward with difficulty to Wu Yi's side, gripping the railing with one hand and grabbing Li Lin with the other.
With the combined strength of the two, they successfully pulled Li Lin back. Seeing that everyone was alright, Ning Shu stayed where she was, gripping the railing tightly with both hands.
She couldn't afford to be careless at this point, since no one had a free hand to come and save her.
The handsome guy with heterochromia was also clinging to the railing to resist the strong wind, but he wasn't as disheveled as the others and seemed to be handling it with ease.
The person who suffered the most here was definitely Zhu Peng; he was almost blown away.
But now no one can lend a hand to save him, and he's barely clinging to life with just his two hands.
Ning Shu thought it was illogical for Zhu Peng to maintain that posture for so long; it was no different from a pig flying in the sky!
But he persevered, which shows that he really will do anything to survive.
After an unknown amount of time, the wind gradually subsided, and Zhu Peng was able to put both feet on the ground again.
Everyone's first reaction was to hold on tightly to the railing, worried that it was a trick, but after a while they found that the wind had indeed stopped.
So everyone started discussing what to do next, but they still held onto the railing tightly.
Li Lin's hand seemed to be a little injured from being held by two people. Wu Yi dragged her to the railing and let her use her other hand to hold onto the railing. Then he moved the hand that had been holding her.
Zhu Peng quickly moved along the railing to Wu Yi and the others, and Ning Shu also slowly moved over.
Cheng Chuan: "This place is not safe, let's leave immediately."
Ning Shu: "Which way do you think we should go?"
This is a fundamental question; if we go back, everyone knows what's on the other side.
If they stayed here, they didn't know if they could withstand the next strong gust of wind, but if they went up the stairs to the ground, they were afraid that what had happened before would happen again.
A moment of silence fell over the scene.
"I want to keep moving forward!" Ning Shu said, taking the lead in expressing her opinion as she looked at everyone.
She felt that if she wanted to leave, she had to move forward, although she didn't know what the other people's rooms were like, but she guessed they were similar to hers.
If there is no door above, then the door must be below.
Of course, it's possible that she didn't find the door after going downstairs; in that case, she could always come back to look for it.
If she had to explore the entire area to find the exit, she would prefer to continue forward.
Ning Shu's unwavering stance made others feel somewhat uneasy, since this little sprout didn't seem like someone with much of a mind.
Cheng Chuan: "I'll go with her." He said it almost without hesitation.
Li Lin and Zhu Peng both looked at Wu Yi. They didn't want to leave the main group, whether they went forward or backward, especially they didn't want to leave Cheng Chuan and Wu Yi, who were both strong and kind-hearted.
In case of trouble, even if others are willing to save them, their strength may not be enough to actually save them. Therefore, the choice of martial arts is very important.
Wu Yi didn't really have any of his own ideas; he preferred to follow the group: "I've also decided to move forward."
In fact, Wu Yi tends to follow Cheng Chuan, since Cheng Chuan's performance is evident to all.
After Ning Shu expressed her stance, she began to observe the environment and discovered that there were a total of 4 passages on the next floor.
She suffers when she has no choice, and she suffers when she has too many choices. Now, which path should she choose?
"ah--"
Ning Shu was shocked to see that Wu Yi had actually "flew" out, with his feet pointing towards the broken glass hole, and his whole body had just "flown out"...
