"Oh! You've come at the perfect time! The fire's just been lit. Come in and warm up!" Ma Hehua said kindly.

The group was startled, nearly scared to death. This sudden sound was terrifying, especially in the middle of nowhere.

"Who is she?" a girl asked.

"Who knows! Should we go in?"

As the night deepened, fatigue gradually crept in.

"Go in, it's more dangerous outside if we don't go in."

The three members of the Ma family ignored them; after all, the hole was so big that it wasn't impossible for them to be careful.

After finding a good spot, the group of five decided to rest.

One of them leaned against the cave wall, his eyelids began to droop, and soon he fell asleep.

The other two also dozed off, but their sleep was not restful, and they were often awakened by the slightest noise.

After an unknown amount of time, a cool breeze blew by, and the flames of the fire flickered a few times, almost going out.

The man in the lead suddenly opened his eyes, warily surveying his surroundings. The moonlight outside the cave seemed to have become even brighter, casting a ghastly white glow over the cave entrance.

He got up and walked to the cave entrance. Looking out, the woods appeared even more eerie and terrifying under the moonlight, as if they were hiding countless secrets and dangers.

He took a deep breath, turned around and went back to the fire, adding more branches to make the fire burn even brighter.

Just then, the other two were also awakened by his commotion.

"What's wrong?" one of them asked, still half asleep.

"It's nothing, the wind almost weakened the fire," the leading man said.

The group fell silent again, waiting for dawn in the quiet cave.
