Lin Wanqing nodded, but then said worriedly, "But Gu Yanting has a huge influence. How are we going to collect evidence? Besides, he certainly won't let us off easily. He might have more conspiracies." Lin Wanqing's worries were not unfounded. Gu Yanting was a powerful figure in the business world with extensive connections. It would be no easy task to bring him down.

Ayu frowned, lost in thought. He knew this would be a tough battle. But for Zhong Hua, for Lin Wanqing, and for himself, he had to face it bravely. "Let's start with his bribing of paparazzi and see if we can find any evidence. Ayu gently patted Lin Wanqing's shoulder. "We will definitely succeed. We can't be defeated by fear. As long as we don't give up, there is still hope." Ayu tried to give Lin Wanqing confidence with a firm tone, while also encouraging herself. However, deep down, she was also filled with worry about the future. Gu Yanting's power was deeply entrenched; trying to bring him down was like an ant trying to shake a tree.

But then Ayu thought of Zhong Hua, of her despair and helplessness in the face of cyberbullying, and of everything she had done for him. He told himself that he couldn't back down no matter what. "Wanqing, think back to when we were little. Every time we encountered difficulties, we overcame them together. This time will be the same. We can definitely do it." Ayu recalled the past, trying to cheer Lin Wanqing up.

Lin Wanqing nodded slightly, a glint of light flashing in her eyes. "Yes, Ayu, you're right. We can't give up. We could overcome difficulties when we were young, and we certainly can now." Lin Wanqing's tone was more determined; she had decided to face the future bravely with Ayu.

In the long, dark night, Ayu and Lin Wanqing huddled together, warding off the fear of the unknown. They were filled with both dread and a glimmer of hope for the future, hoping to uncover the truth, escape Gu Yanting's conspiracy, and regain their peaceful life. In this secluded little house, their fates were intertwined, together stepping towards a challenging tomorrow.

VI. Inner Struggle and Determination

As night deepened, in the quiet little house, Ayu and Lin Wanqing's thoughts grew increasingly complex. Ayu was worried about Zhong Hua's current situation, imagining her pain and helplessness in the face of the overwhelming malicious rumors, and his heart was filled with guilt and heartache. He knew that his and Lin Wanqing's actions had undoubtedly pushed Zhong Hua into the eye of the storm, making her the target of public criticism. On the other hand, he couldn't just stand by and watch Lin Wanqing fall into Gu Yanting's clutches; after all, they shared a deep childhood bond, and Lin Wanqing was also a victim of this conspiracy.

This dilemma caused Ayu immense anguish. His brows furrowed tightly, and his eyes revealed struggle and inner turmoil. He kept asking himself, was this really the right thing to do? Had he made a mistake from the very beginning, leading to the current out-of-control situation and placing such immense pressure on Zhong Hua? However, there was no turning back now. He had no choice but to find a way to resolve the problem as quickly as possible and clear everyone's name.

Seeing Ayu struggling in pain, Lin Wanqing was filled with self-reproach. She knew Ayu deeply loved Zhong Hua, and her appearance had plunged their relationship into crisis. "Ayu, why don't you go back to Zhong Hua? I'll face all this alone. I caused all this, and I don't want to drag you down with me anymore." Lin Wanqing's voice choked with sobs; she felt like a sinner, having ruined Ayu and Zhong Hua's happiness.

Ayu looked up at Lin Wanqing, a determined glint in her eyes. "Wanqing, don't say that. We're facing this together; I can't leave you behind. Besides, this is all Gu Yanting's conspiracy. We must expose his true colors together and give everyone justice." Ayu grasped Lin Wanqing's hand, trying to give her strength.
