The protagonist crossed over unexpectedly, the system was dumbfounded, and the protagonist was confused. One system exists to survive and live more comfortably, while the other tries to avoid havin...
Ye Zi calmly waited for the production team's next move, while Tong Tong sat listlessly on the cart, lost in thought.
Finally, when it got too hot to bear, Yezi stood the cart upright to create a shady spot, and then let Tongtong sit there to cool off.
The camp was in chaos; all the players were demanding food and water.
The white man had originally hoped that the hungry contestants would put pressure on Ye Zi, either by apologizing to him or by offering him food and water to appease the others.
To everyone's surprise, not one of the thirty-odd people present dared to go.
But at this point, the white people had no choice; providing food and water was impossible, otherwise they would be branded as deliberately making things difficult for the athletes.
They could only slink away temporarily, leaving others to comfort the contestants.
Ye Zi watched the white man get into the car and drive away, then gave a disdainful sneer.
Since the production team has already targeted him like this, Ye Zi doesn't intend to give them any face. So what if they're targeting him? Why act like he's no different from anyone else?
Just as Ye Zi and Tong Tong were chatting, a "hello" suddenly rang out beside them.
Ye Zi turned her head and saw a young man and a young woman looking at him awkwardly.
Both of them had a national flag on their chests in the same spot as Ye Zi, but Ye Zi didn't recognize which country it was from.
"Hello," Tongtong greeted first.
Ye Zi nodded to the two of them, then whispered to Tong Tong:
"know?"
"I don't recognize them, but I do recognize the national flag on their chests; they're from Ba Yangyang."
Ye Zi suddenly realized what was going on, and then turned to greet the two of them:
"Brother Pakistan, please sit down."
Then he handed out two bottles of mineral water, and with a quick pull from his back, he presented two handfuls of beef jerky to the two men.
Ye Zi continued:
"Don't be shy, eat and drink to your heart's content."
Ba Yangyang's two contestants took the water and beef jerky with blank expressions. Although their purpose in coming was indeed for water and food, they were not sure if they would get them.
Unexpectedly, after Ye Zi and her companion learned their nationalities, they handed them food and water before they could even ask.
Neither of them could see where the water and food came from.
"There's more if it's not enough, don't be shy." Tongtong didn't know how much Yezi had left, but it was no problem to be polite.
"Thank you." x2
The young man took a couple of sips of water and said apologetically:
"Actually, we came here for food and water, but we didn't know if you had any left. I didn't expect you to give them to me before I even asked. Thank you."
Ye Zi waved her hand, indicating that he didn't need to explain or care, took out a cigarette, lit it, and then asked:
“I grew up on the grasslands and don’t know much about the outside world. Although I didn’t recognize your flag at first, my partner said you are our brothers from Pakistan, so there’s nothing more to say. If we have anything you need, we will never be stingy with it.”
"By the way, do you smoke?" Ye Zi said, waving the cigarette in her hand.
"Thank you." The young man took the cigarette, lit one, and returned the rest to Ye Zi.
The four of them ate and chatted, making them quite an oddity in this chaotic camp.
Seeing that Ba Yangyang's contestants had obtained food and water from Ye Zi, some people immediately had ideas.
“Kongnikiwa”.
Ye Zi suddenly turned her head to look at the person behind her. The person's signature Japanese fake smile made Ye Zi feel nauseous. Then, she roared with murderous intent:
"Empty NmLGb, get lost."
The Japanese soldiers who came over to say hello were caught off guard by Ye Zi's sudden outburst of anger and stood frozen in place.
After yelling at the Japanese devils, Ye Zi turned to look at Tong Tong and Ba Yangyang, his face returning to its previous sunny, boyish demeanor.
The change of expression was so fast that it left the three of them dumbfounded.
Sensing that the Japanese soldiers behind her hadn't moved, Ye Zi casually asked:
"Tongtong, what do you mean by 'get lost'?"
"Get out."
"What if we added some swear words?"
"Beetle off. Foreigners have fewer words. This means telling someone to get lost when you're angry."
Just as Ye Zi was about to put her newfound knowledge to use, contestant Ba Yangyang said:
"Get out, you made fuck."
Ye Zi raised an eyebrow and said in surprise:
"You can speak English. But it sounds a bit broken."
Ba Yangyang, the young man, laughed:
“Her English was taught by a Chinese teacher, and she also learned some Chinese on the side. She probably learned a fragmented English, and even when she studied English specifically later, she couldn’t correct it.”
The Japanese soldiers behind Ye Zi had already left. Although they couldn't understand Chinese, they could clearly understand English. Leaving now would save them some face.
But the Japanese were a fundamentally corrupt nation; after they returned, they started causing trouble.
Not long after, Ye Zi and the other three were chatting in the shade under the cart when a group of contestants walked over aggressively.
The female contestant, Ba Yangyang, looked nervous. Ye Zi stood up, turned around, and looked at the crowd, asking:
"What do you mean? You want to make a move?"
Then came a string of English. Ye Zi made a stop gesture and then shouted:
"Either send someone who can speak Mandarin, or get lost, or just take action. Stop talking nonsense."
A young white woman stepped forward and said:
"Hey Chinese athlete, since you have food and water, why can't you share some with us?"
"That's all," Ye Zi said simply.
The young white woman pointed to the water and beef jerky in Tongtong's and the other two's hands and said:
What are those?
Ye Zi glanced at them, signaling them to continue, then turned back to the young white woman and said:
"If you don't mind drinking the rest of my water, I wouldn't mind giving you the rest."
After Ye Zi finished speaking, she drank the mineral water in her hand in one gulp, glanced at the empty bottle one last time, spat out the water that was still in her mouth, and then handed it to the white young woman.
Not to mention the white young woman, everyone present felt disgusted, even Tongtong felt a little nauseous looking at the half-full bottle of water in her hand.
The young man, Ba Yangyang, left about a mouthful, roughly the same amount that Ye Zi spat back, and then handed the bottle to Ye Zi.
Ye Zi smiled slightly, then took the bottle and handed it to the young white woman. Seeing that she didn't take it, Ye Zi chuckled:
"You wanted water, so I gave it to you, but now you're not taking it. What does that mean? Are you kidding me?"
Tongtong handed the remaining half-bottle of her water bottle to Yezi. Yezi took it casually, knocking the bottle over. The cap, which wasn't tightened properly, fell off, and the water inside spilled out.
Ye Zi immediately grabbed a handful of freshly damp soil, put it into a bottle, and then said to the young white woman:
"I'm sorry, so many of you came over and startled me, I spilled all the water."
But that's no problem. According to Chinese rules, anything that falls on the ground can still be used if it's been less than three seconds.
"Shameless!" the young white woman shouted angrily.
Ye Zi dropped the pretense and roared with murderous intent:
"Shameless my ass! I brought the water and food, and it's my freedom to give them to whomever I want. You want to play the kidnapping game, huh?"
Now I'm giving you a choice: either get out of here, or we'll fight.
Choose.
