The Four Lord's Adorable Wife Arrives

Qing Yan needs to calm down. Transmigrating is one thing, but becoming an infant? Is this a joke? When she was three years old, she met a jade-carved little boy. Qing Yan's eyes immediately lit...

Chapter 371 A Sudden Awakening

As soon as dawn broke, Yin quietly got up, turned his head to look at the sleeping Qingyan, leaned down and kissed her forehead before putting on his everyday clothes and leaving.

Yin went to wake up Yinxiang, Yinyu, and Yiken'e, and led them to start their morning exercise.

Qingyan groggily reached for the bed on her right, only to find it empty. She opened her almond-shaped eyes and discovered that the bed on Yin's side had long since cooled down.

At the bedroom door, Su Lan heard the sounds inside and quickly came in to serve.

"Where is Fourth Prince?" Qingyan got up. The first thing she did was to find out what the Fourth Prince was doing. Ever since he left the palace to establish his own residence, whenever he had a day off, Yin would sleep by her side until he naturally woke up.

"Master, he is leading the Thirteenth Prince, the Fourteenth Prince, and the Little Prince in their morning exercises. Master, breakfast has been prepared!" Su Lan reported while helping Qing Yan with her hair and makeup.

Qingyan pushed open the window and saw four people, one large and two small, practicing swordsmanship in the courtyard. As princes, Kangxi required them to be knowledgeable in all things.

Even when gambling, one must be well-versed in some principles to prevent someone from framing them.

"Sisi, come in quickly!" Qingyan glanced at the time; it was almost six o'clock. After they had gotten acquainted with each other, they would have breakfast.

Yinxiang and Yin had been waiting for Qingyan's summons. As soon as Yin heard Qingyan's voice, he quickly waved his hand, telling the three of them to go back and freshen up.

"Thirteen, look at Fourth Sister-in-law, as long as she calls Fourth Brother, she will definitely go back!" Yin was very moved.

If I had a wife like that, I would probably protect her just like my fourth brother.

"Let's go. We've had breakfast, but we still have another day of torture ahead!" Yinxiang smiled wryly, telling Yin to prepare himself mentally.

Ugh!

Yinxiang was embarrassed. If he hadn't asked to come and see his fourth brother, Yinxiang probably wouldn't have been confined to his quarters.

Later that evening, everyone gathered in the dining room, which became especially lively with the addition of the twins.

Yinxiang and Yin had been taking care of the twins. Yin saw this and let them take care of them. Although they were still young, they were both very sensible.

"I'm entrusting the twins to your care. Can you guarantee that you'll complete the task?" Yin asked, looking at Yinxiang and Yin.

The two exchanged a glance, feeling surprised, and then turned their gaze to Qingyan.

The imperial concubines would never entrust their children to outsiders for care. Qingyan was quite bold to dare to call out her young child.

“I also agree with Si Si’s opinion. You are the uncles, and besides morning exercises, you should take care of the twins’ calligraphy practice during the day.” Qing Yan also made a request.

"Fourth Brother, neither of us has very good handwriting!" Yinxiang said with a wry smile. "What will happen if we don't teach us well?"

"Therefore, you must improve your skills!" Yin used this opportunity to instruct Yinxiang and Yin.

Yin Tingou's face immediately scrunched up. Looking at Yi Ken'e's expectant eyes, he could only silently give in, but he felt a surge of motivation.

"Fourth Brother, don't worry," Yin said, patting his chest.

"You need to practice calligraphy, so your nephew and niece don't laugh at you!" Yin shook his head, his face quite unpleasant.

“I definitely won’t!” Yin retorted immediately.

Yin was very satisfied. Yin was someone who didn't like being disciplined, so Kangxi racked his brains but couldn't grasp Yin's true nature.

"Fourth Brother, just you wait and see," Yin said defiantly.

After breakfast, Yin and Qingyan watched them leave. From this day forward, Yinxiang and Yin would become their little masters.

"Fourth Brother, is it reliable to leave the children in the care of the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Brothers?" Qingyan asked with some worry. Yinxiang was still considered good, but Yin...

"It's definitely alright. Fourteenth Prince has such a carefree personality. We should encourage Yiken'e to associate with him as much as possible." Yiken'e has been taught by Kangxi to be a bit too shrewd. Looking at his physique, one gets a sense of unease.

Qingyan sighed. Aren't all the royal offspring like this? To her eyes, they all seemed to be cut from the same mold.

"Fourth Brother, Yiken'e should have more time to play and have fun. Don't shift the blame onto him too early." Qingyan felt that Yin was still young and had plenty of time to realize his dreams. Yiken'e was different; his future was not yet planned.

“You’re always so soft-hearted. Yiken’e is way past the age where she should be sensible. Haven’t you seen how strict Father is with Yiken’e?” Yin comforted Qingyan.

Inside the study, Yin had already started practicing calligraphy with Yiken'e. He actually took out his calligraphy practice book and began to seriously complete the lessons assigned by his master. If it were any other day, Yin would have been impatient long ago.

Qingyan waved his hand and played the video of what was happening in the study. Yin saw that he was doing his homework there, which was quite rare for him, and felt very comforted.

"Fourteenth Prince can actually be serious now?" Qingyan was stunned. Yin had mentioned it several times. Yin was never serious about things, which annoyed him a lot.

Yin had a smile on his face; everything was going well.

“They complement each other!” Yin said four words.

Outside the courtyard, several princes' spies were watching the entrance. Apart from the servants who came and went as usual, Yin and Qingyan did not step out of the courtyard again, and neither did Yinxiang and Yin.

The Crown Prince was satisfied with Kangxi's punishment of Yin. After all, the princes were getting older, and Yin's responsibilities were becoming heavier, which made the Crown Prince feel very troubled.

"Your Majesty, I think the Fourth Prince's wife has also fallen out of favor. Otherwise, why hasn't Father Emperor summoned her to the palace?" The Third Prince's wife sneered. Ever since their marriage, she had been at odds with Qingyan. Whenever Qingyan was in trouble, she found it amusing.

Yin Zhi sneered. "Woman's compassion. Kangxi will definitely not give up on the Ulanara family. If he really did give up, he wouldn't still be in a high position now."

"Fujin, you are not allowed to make things difficult for your fourth brother's wife anymore!" Yinzhi finally understood that Kangxi's intention was clearly to place Yinzhi in a position below the Crown Prince, and that he might even have to serve under Yinzhi.

The Third Prince Consort was stunned. This was the first time Yinzhi had forbidden her from making things difficult for Qingyan. Could it be that he had also taken a liking to Qingyan?

"Putting everything else aside, Fei Yanggu's favor is unmatched by your father-in-law, so you must be more patient for the future." Yin Zhi was ready to face reality. The two visits to the military port had unintentionally increased Yin's leverage. In addition, Yin was now standing behind him, which became his biggest bargaining chip.

Although Yin seemed to have been banished, he still hoped to get this opportunity, but it was too late. Who could blame him for his father-in-law's lack of support?
