After they finished eating, the two left the house one after the other. Shen Yan was somewhat surprised that Chen Yu got up so early today.

All the way there, he kept thinking about whether Chen Yu really intended to study hard. He also heard Li Ziyun say that she was going to enroll her in classes, which explained why she hadn't been bothering him for extra lessons these past few days.

Chen Yu thought there would be few people on the street, but she was surprised to find a large group of classmates, and even breakfast stalls. She glanced at the time and saw that it was about 6:30 in ten minutes. This was the first time she had left home so early. Usually, she would not arrive at school until after the morning reading session was over.

The classroom was already half full, and everyone was quite surprised to see Chen Yu arrive so early.

Chen Yu sat down in her seat, took out a book from her bag, and began to review.

When the class monitor saw Chen Yu taking out her books to review, he patted his deskmate on the shoulder and said, "Look at Chen Yu, she's actually studying. Am I still half asleep?"

Studying makes time fly by. When Chen Yu looked up again, Wang Yue and Jiang Yang had arrived, and the teacher was standing on the podium, asking the students to put their books on the podium.

Wang Yue went up and helped Chen Yu and Jiang Yang release the cats.

Chen Yu sat in her seat, feeling a little nervous. It had been a long time since she had taken an exam.

The teacher handed out the test papers one by one in order. As soon as Chen Yu got hers, she chose to do the questions she knew how to answer first. By the end, she had almost finished all the questions, leaving only some difficult ones that she didn't know how to answer.

After a day of exams, Chen Yu felt pretty good about herself, but often what she felt good about would lead to mistakes. As she listened to her classmates comparing answers, many of which were completely different from her own, she felt disheartened.

After school, Wang Yue and Jiang Yang saw Chen Yu's face was as black as charcoal and didn't dare to ask her to go out to play. They obediently went home.

Not long after Chen Yu got home, Shen Yan also returned. He glanced at the melancholy Chen Yu and knew that she hadn't done well on the exam.

Knowing that today was the start of the school year and the exams, Li Ziyun and Chen Kang bought a lot of brain-boosting products. Li Ziyun even specially made some delicious soup.

"Yu Yu, why do you look so pale? Did you eat something wrong at school for lunch?"

"I'm fine, Dad. I just didn't do well on the test, so I'm not in a good mood."

Hearing Chen Yu's words, Chen Kang looked up at Li Ziyun. Both of them were surprised that Chen Yu would be upset about not doing well on the exam. If it were before, Chen Yu would have started playing games after the exam and wouldn't have cared about whether she did well or not.

"It's alright, Yu Yu. It's just an entrance exam. Dad believes you'll do even better in the future."

After Chen Kang comforted Chen Yu for a while, Li Ziyun called everyone to come and eat. There was no need to ask about Chen Yan's grades at all.

Throughout the meal, Li Ziyun and Chen Kang encouraged Chen Yu, which greatly boosted her morale. After finishing her meal, she went back to her room to study. She would be starting tutoring classes tomorrow. Li Ziyun was worried that Chen Yu wouldn't be used to attending tutoring classes with everyone, so she specially hired a private tutor for her.

The teacher will be here tomorrow, so Chen Yu will have to study on her own tonight.

Chen Kang pulled Li Ziyun back to the room.

"Wife, why don't we let Shen Yan tutor Yu Yu? Shen Yan's grades are so good."

"Hey, Shen Yan needs to study too. How can we let Yu Yu slow down Shen Yan's studies?"

"That makes sense. I thought you hired a tutor because you thought your family had too much money..."

Li Ziyun was utterly speechless at Chen Kang's words. She had raised Shen Yan for so long and already treated him like her own son. How could she let her daughter affect her son's studies?

If Shen Yan's grades weren't so good, she would have hired one for him too.

A week after the exam, the results came out. Chen Yu was 15 points short of 300 points, which shocked Wang Yue and Jiang Yang.

"Chen Yu, you improved your score by 100 points over the summer? Did you secretly cheat?!"

"Are you Chen Yu? Have you been possessed?"

Faced with their doubts, Chen Yu simply chuckled and said, "I just didn't unleash my true strength!"

Jiang Yang and Wang Yue gave her a thumbs up. Her grades were indeed much better than before. When she got home and told Chen Kang and Li Ziyun about it, she felt a little proud.

Shen Yan was also surprised that Chen Yu had made so much progress, and his opinion of her had also changed subtly.

Chen Yu had been feeling depressed for several days, but now she finally felt better and even ate a few more bites of food.

The tutor was punctual in giving Chen Yu lessons. Chen Yu liked this tutor quite a bit. He was a recent college graduate who was just as strict as Chen Yan when it came to explaining problems. He was also very patient. If Chen Yu didn't understand a problem, he would teach her in a different way.

The effect was very good; Chen Yu's grades improved a lot, and she even started looking forward to the next exam.

"Then you guys should get some rest early tonight."
