In her past life, Ji Xiaoxiao was a part-time assassin and a full-time shut-in. One day, with god-like skill, she was run over by a car and inexplicably transmigrated. After transmigrating, everyth...
After several days of not being able to get a good night's sleep, the people living near Nanzhu's house had increasingly more complaints about the couple.
Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu hurriedly packed their clothes and ran away. Most of their neighbors, whom they saw every day, ignored them, gave them a few disgusted glances, and then went back to their own homes.
After leaving the residential area, Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu took a taxi and sped along. As the familiar scenery gradually disappeared in the rearview mirror, they finally felt much more at ease.
Unable to find affordable and well-located rentals immediately, Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu settled into a hotel for the time being.
After taking out and tidying up the clothes, Lü Zhu asked tremblingly, "Zhu Zi, will that bastard come again tonight?"
"No," Nan Zhu said, raising her voice to bolster her courage. "Don't scare yourself, I'm here!"
So, in the dead of night, Ji Xiaoxiao, who had been following them all along, reappeared dressed in white.
"Bamboo, look." The indoor lights were so bright they were blinding. When Lü Zhu turned her head, she saw the white-clad female ghost standing quietly in the corner.
Nan Zhu was much bolder than Lü Zhu and didn't have much inner turmoil, so he fell asleep early. Lü Zhu woke him up, and Nan Zhu groggily looked over; she was dressed in white, exuding an ethereal aura.
Hmm, good temperament!
"bamboo."
Lu Zhu yelled into Nan Zhu's ear, instantly burning away Nan Zhu's sleepiness.
Nan Zhu was wide awake. She clenched her fist, ready to teach Lü Zhu a lesson. Out of the corner of her eye, she casually glanced at the white-clad female ghost in the corner.
"Bamboo, what should we do?" Lü Zhu pressed her chest against Nan Zhu's strong and broad back, desperately hoping that Nan Zhu could provide her with a safe haven.
What can I do about this ghost?
"Better to die than to die myself," Nan Zhu shuddered, wishing he could throw Lü Zhu out and let the ghost sister have a feast, hoping the white-clad female ghost would spare him.
What a beautiful dream! If the strange thing in front of him was indeed a female ghost, Nan Zhu, based on his limited knowledge of ghosts and monsters, deduced that the white-clad female ghost would definitely prefer him. After all, Lü Zhu was a woman with heavy yin energy, while he was a man with yang energy.
Novels and movies always say that female ghosts love to absorb men's yang energy!
Nan Zhu shrank back, while Ji Xiaoxiao took a small step forward.
With just a small step, Ji Xiaoxiao had already reached the foot of the bed.
Inside the brightly lit room, the lights began to flicker. Some of the cheap light bulbs, unable to withstand the fluctuating current, exploded one after another with a series of bangs.
"Ah!" Lu Zhu screamed, covering her ears.
"Let us go! We are good people, we have never harmed anyone!" Lu Zhu cried.
Ji Xiaoxiao leaned down, placed her hands on the bed, and said, "Uh... I'm lonely, you can't leave... uh... you have to stay with me."
She left behind a message, darkness descended, a gust of wind swept through, and when the lights came back on, the room was empty; the white-clad female ghost was nowhere to be seen.
“Bamboo.” Lü Zhu reached out and grasped Nan Zhu’s arm.
Nan Zhu Dali struggled, angrily shouting, "Don't touch me!"
Don't touch me, you're a woman too.
Lu Zhu was unjustly blamed by Nan Zhu.
The clock ticked around and around, and the night grew darker.
"Let's go back," Nan Zhu said through gritted teeth, her mind made up.
"What?" Lu Zhu exclaimed in horror, "We can't go back, she'll kill us if we go back."
"Didn't you hear what she said? She wants us to stay with her. If we really don't go back, she won't let us off the hook." Nan Zhu analyzed calmly and methodically.
Lu Zhu sobbed softly, crying intermittently.
Nan Zhu scratched her head in frustration and comforted her, "Zhu Zhu, that's how it's portrayed in movies and TV shows. As long as the ghost's wish is fulfilled, they will be reincarnated. I think we should go back and have a good talk with the female ghost later, ask her what her unfulfilled wishes are, and if we help her fulfill them, she will be reincarnated and will no longer bother us."
Will you stop bothering me?
Nan Zhu's comforting words touched the softest spot in Lü Zhu's heart. After hesitating several times, Lü Zhu finally agreed to go back to the neighborhood with Nan Zhu.
The two quickly packed their clothes, checked out of the room, and took a ride back to their neighborhood.
Upon arriving at their doorstep, Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu felt a mix of trepidation and reluctance to push open the door.
A cold wind blew by, and Nan Zhu subconsciously thought it was the white-clad female ghost inviting them in.
"Come in." A cold voice reached my ears.
Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu looked at each other, their shock and fear clearly visible in their eyes.
The door creaked open by itself.
Looking around, the room was pitch black, and nothing could be seen.
Swallowing hard, Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu stepped into the darkness.
As soon as I stepped through the door, it slammed shut.
With a loud bang, Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu jumped up in fright.
"Bamboo, I'm so scared." Lü Zhu grabbed Nan Zhu's hand and followed closely behind.
Nan Zhu was focused on observing her surroundings and had no time to pay attention to the disgusting Lü Zhu.
Nanzhu lived in the apartment complex for a year and knew the layout and routes inside by heart. Even with her eyes closed, Nanzhu could navigate the complex with ease and go anywhere.
Stepping across the living room and looking towards the kitchen, the white-clad female ghost was nowhere to be seen. Her gaze lingered on the tightly closed bedroom door. Nan Zhu took a deep breath; that was her next destination.
With my hand on the doorknob and a flick of my wrist, the door opened.
Nan Zhu didn't dare to open the door all the way open, so she gradually widened the gap until it hit the wall.
With nothing obstructing their view, the eerie phenomenon of four blue ghostly flames floating on the bed was something Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu could see even if they didn't want to.
"Bamboo." Lü Zhu wanted to escape, to get as far away from this place as possible.
"Shut up." Nan Zhu knew exactly what Lü Zhu was thinking. If he could turn back time, he would definitely have gone with his parents to pray to the gods and Buddhas during every festival.
Just then, a drop of warm water splashed onto Lü Zhu's face.
