Chapter 203: Couples Showing Affection (Part 5)

Nan Zhu is a man, and loving his wife is a husband's responsibility. However, Lü Zhu is arrogant and can't stand people discussing things objectively. She always expects people to give in and tolerate her. Nan Zhu isn't a masochist who loves more the more he's hit or the more difficult things get for him; he can't do that.

Love and passion gradually fade away in the mundane routine of daily life.

Lu Zhu was stunned by Nan Zhu's slap. After a moment of confusion, she turned around and tried to take Nan Zhu down with her.

"I'll let you hit me, I'll let you hit me, I'll let you hit me."

Lu Zhu's counterattack was too much for Nan Zhu, a grown man, to handle.

Lu Zhu wrapped her limbs around Nan Zhu, her sharp teeth wide open, biting into the flesh and twisting and shaking it, loosening the seamless fit between the flesh.

In an instant, bright red blood filled Lü Zhu's mouth.

"Crazy woman." Nan Zhu winced in pain and punched Lü Zhu on the head.

When it comes to fighting and strength, most women are born weaker than men.

Nan Zhu's punch made Lü Zhu see stars and lose all sense of direction. The limbs that were wrapped around Nan Zhu loosened in a flash, and Lü Zhu collapsed weakly onto the bed.

Lu Zhu fell down, looked up, and exclaimed, "Wow, there's a white-clad female ghost in their house!"

"Ah, a ghost, it's a ghost!" Lü Zhu hurriedly shrank behind Nan Zhu.

Nan Zhu frowned in annoyance, and turned to give Lü Zhu another punch, just as the woman in white came into view.

A female ghost in white stood in mid-air, her black hair disheveled and scattered, a faint black aura swirling around her. Her face was obscured, but one could subconsciously imagine blood flowing freely, bones and rotting flesh.

With their limbs numb and unable to move, a bone-chilling cold rose from the soles of Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu's feet, quickly eroding the warmth from their bodies.

"Are you a human or a ghost?" Nan Zhu asked weakly, holding Lü Zhu in front of her chest.

Ji Xiaoxiao was overjoyed after watching the show. She let out a few sobs, and the dim bedroom lights flickered and dimmed.

"Gulp." The clearly audible swallowing sound seemed extremely abrupt in the room.

“I…Nan Zhu is a man, he has yang energy, you absorb it.”

Lu Zhu struggled and managed to escape from Nan Zhu's arms. With a push, she shoved Nan Zhu off the bed. Nan Zhu rolled like a ball, and unfortunately, ended up at Ji Xiaoxiao's feet.

The warm face touched Ji Xiaoxiao's toes, which were icy cold and devoid of warmth—not the kind of warmth a human should have. Nan Zhu screamed in fright and scrambled onto the bed.

"What are you doing up here? Go and let her absorb the yang energy. She'll leave once she's full." Everyone looks out for themselves, so Lü Zhu tried to push Nan Zhu out.

Even ants try to survive; it's better to live a wretched life than to die a good death.

Nan Zhu held her breath, rooted herself to the bed, and refused to budge.

"You love me? Now is the time for you to prove it." As Lu Zhu spoke, she slowly began to cry. "I don't want to die, I don't want to die yet. Zhu Zi, please save me."

The vow of life and death, of never leaving or forsaking each other, seems like a joke.

Nan Zhu ignored Lü Zhu, preferring to ignore her. But when he thought about it, he worried that the white-clad female ghost might suddenly attack, and if he couldn't see clearly, he wouldn't have time to dodge.

As Ji Xiaoxiao slowly approached, the chill intensified. With each breath, Nan Zhu and Lü Zhu felt as if they had swallowed ice shards, their bodies growing cold from the inside out and from the outside in.

"You...you...don't come any closer."

The white-clad female ghost drew ever closer, and the extremely uneasy Lü Zhu nearly fainted.

About a minute later, Ji Xiaoxiao climbed into bed.

The bed remained unchanged; it did not sag or bounce.

Ji Xiaoxiao reached out and gently stroked Lü Zhu's face.

The endless cold, the ethereal touch—Lu Zhu's eyes widened, and she fainted from sheer terror.

The presence of the two men emboldened him, but Lü Zhu was ungrateful and remained unconscious by herself. Nan Zhu was furious but helpless. At this moment, Ji Xiaoxiao was already lying on top of him, and he couldn't free his hands to wake Lü Zhu.

"I died... uh... so unjustly." He spoke haltingly, his voice hoarse and drawn-out.

Nan Zhu was on edge; if the white-clad female ghost made any small move, he would react violently.

Ji Xiaoxiao smiled sadly, exhaled a puff of white smoke, which Nan Zhu inhaled and immediately lost consciousness.

She reached out and patted the two of them. Once she was sure they wouldn't wake up anytime soon, Ji Xiaoxiao used her inner strength to leave a black handprint on their faces, slightly smaller than her own palm.

The next morning, a scream kicked off the day.

"Ghost, ghost, don't come any closer!" Lu Zhu woke up with a start and shouted.

Looking around, there was no white-clad female ghost, but a living person named Nan Zhu was sleeping beside him.

Bamboo? Wait, what's that?

"Nanzhu, your face." Lu Zhu pointed at Nanzhu's face, unable to calm down for a long time.

Nan Zhu was woken up and, upon seeing Lü Zhu's face, exclaimed in horror, "Zhu Zhu, there are black handprints on your face!"

"What? I have one too?" Lu Zhu was incredulous and burst into tears.

What does "也" mean?

Nan Zhu walked to the dressing mirror, where a clear black handprint was visible.

“Bamboo, this place is haunted, we can’t live here.” Lü Zhu wanted to move away from this troublesome place.

Separated only by a wall, Ji Xiaoxiao smiled wickedly.

Leaving isn't that easy.
