In her past life, Ji Xiaoxiao was a part-time assassin and a full-time shut-in. One day, with god-like skill, she was run over by a car and inexplicably transmigrated. After transmigrating, everyth...
Ji Xiaoxiao's house was just a small thatched hut. The thatch on the roof was spread haphazardly, with one side piled high and thick to keep out the wind and rain, while the other side had very few strands to provide shelter. It was no wonder that it was dilapidated after years of neglect, and the owners didn't seem to care at all, just getting by. Who could they blame?
Just by looking at the exterior, you can tell how bad the house is. The interior is also simple: a two-meter-long wooden plank serves as a warm bed, and a quilt with a gleaming black sheen and a faint odor lies abandoned in the remote corner of the mountain.
People with ambition can't afford to be hurt!
Ji Xiaoxiao was leisurely lying on the wooden bed, letting her imagination run wild, when suddenly she was startled awake, her cold eyes flashing with a fierce light.
Lan Qinying poured a bucket of cold water on Ji Xiaoxiao, leaving her soaking wet from head to toe. Waves of cold air flowed unimpeded into her body, causing Ji Xiaoxiao to shiver and shudder.
"Lan Xiaoxiao, get up right now!" Lan Qinying's voice was as loud as a gong and drum.
Ji Xiaoxiao was a good-natured girl, and obediently got out of bed. The cold water that had accumulated in the crevices of her body splashed onto the floor with a "splash." Ji Xiaoxiao didn't seem to care much, and simply brushed her hair aside to keep her thick bangs from blocking her eyes.
"Speak up, Lan Xiaoxiao, are you mute?" Lan Qinying pushed Ji Xiaoxiao, looking at her with a look of utter disappointment, determined to make Ji Xiaoxiao suffer a terrible death.
Ji Xiaoxiao remained motionless, silent, her solemn face as if contemplating a matter of life and death for all humanity. One moment mature and composed, the next… a cool breeze, pervasive and penetrating, caused her body to tremble involuntarily, her lips, which had regained their color, instantly turning pale. “Lan Qinying, take off your clothes.”
"Huh?" Lan Qinying frowned, asking in great confusion.
"I'm freezing, hurry up and take off your clothes," Ji Xiaoxiao said patiently, yet extremely impatiently, word by word.
"Why should I?" Lan Qinying seemed about to physically assault her.
Ji Xiaoxiao glanced at her dripping clothes, raised an eyebrow and gestured to Lan Qinying, "Why? Just because you poured a bucket of cold water on me for no reason and soaked me completely."
Lan Qinying wore a thick coat, bulging with cotton padding to keep warm. Her hands, red from the cold, were holding a basin made of plastic, the color faded considerably, but the adorable little animals carved on it were still faintly visible.
With the evidence in the criminal's hands, Lan Qinying said shamelessly, "I'm just throwing cold water on you, so what? Lan Xiaoxiao, are you going to bite me or something? With your cowardly appearance, all you have is a good set of teeth."
Ignoring Lan Qinying's verbal attacks, Ji Xiaoxiao kicked the basin and said, "This awful weather is freezing cold, and you're still pouring cold water on me. Lan Qinying, you're really wicked."
Lan Qinying heard the joke and laughed wildly, "Me, bad? Lan Xiaoxiao, don't forget, for the past twenty years, you've eaten my Lan family's food, lived in my Lan family's house, and spent my Lan family's money. And now you still have the nerve to say that I, Lan Qinying, have a bad heart."
"Lan Xiaoxiao, you ungrateful wretch!" Lan Qinying threw the basin in her hand at Ji Xiaoxiao's beautiful face.
Ji Xiaoxiao tilted her head, and the basin flew towards the wall. Even a clay figure has some temper, let alone a person of flesh and blood. Ji Xiaoxiao steadied herself and casually slapped the unsuspecting Lan Qinying hard across the face. The "smack" was so crisp and melodious, like the song of a nightingale, lingering in the air for days.
Lan Qinying instinctively covered her slapped face, stunned for a moment, then snapped back to reality and screamed, "Ah...ah...ah...you dare to hit me! Lan Xiaoxiao, who gave you the guts to hit me?"
Red flowers complement green leaves, and green leaves set off red flowers. Lan Qinying's madness, Ji Xiaoxiao's composure, the uncontrollable screams, the barely perceptible smiles—who won and who lost is obvious.
The enemy's misfortune is our own happiness; the enemy's displeasure is our own pleasure.
Ji Xiaoxiao's lips curled up, her mood bright and cheerful. "What if I hit you? Lan Qinying, are you going to bite me? With your cowardly appearance, all you have is a good set of teeth."
Using the enemy's own words against him, Lan Qinying, choked by her own words, had a swollen, purplish-red neck and bulging eyes, as if she had seen a ghost. "Lan Xiaoxiao, I will definitely tell my parents what just happened. You'll be in big trouble!"
The wind outside grew stronger, whipping up withered grass and leaves that swirled and swayed in the air. The accompanying chill was biting, and Ji Xiaoxiao felt as if her hands and feet no longer belonged to her; they were stiff and immobile.
"I told you, take off your clothes." Lan Qinying despised the original owner, Lan Xiaoxiao, the most. How could she possibly stoop so low as to hand over her warm clothes to Ji Xiaoxiao?
If you can't persuade them, then beat them until they obey.
Ji Xiaoxiao used one hand to stop Lan Qinying, while using the other to pat and slap Lan Qinying's face repeatedly. During this time, Ji Xiaoxiao shook her head and said with heartache, "You've really grown up, daring to threaten me now. Threatening is fine, but how old are you? Going to complain to your parents? I don't feel any sense of accomplishment bullying someone like you, you know? If you're going to find help, you should at least find a strong, burly man! Now, I'm asking you one last time, are you going to take it off or not?"
"Fine, you've got guts." After waiting for two or three minutes, Lan Qinying still didn't change her ways and glared fiercely at Ji Xiaoxiao.
It was just a slap in the face; Ji Xiaoxiao didn't use any internal energy. However, her mere physical strength was enough to make Lan Qinying, the pampered young lady born with a silver spoon in her mouth, wail uncontrollably. Slap after slap, after about ten minutes, the situation changed. Lan Qinying trembled, her teeth chattering from the cold. A blissful Ji Xiaoxiao pulled her thick coat tighter around herself and smiled contentedly.
Ji Xiaoxiao kicked Lan Qinying with her toe, "If you knew this would happen, why did you do it in the first place? No matter how stubborn you are, I still managed to pry your mouth open."
