Yun Zhe sat at the back of the carriage, while Ellie stood not far away.

"Want to travel together? Sure, but first tell me how you manage to stand under the sun?" Yun Zhe looked directly into Ellie's eyes and asked casually.

Ellie's eyes suddenly glazed over, and the monotonous, mechanical female voice sounded again, "The vampire who transformed me gave me a ring that allows me to walk in the sunlight." After speaking, Ellie came to her senses and took half a step back.

Yun Zhe nodded thoughtfully, about to ask another question, when he suddenly noticed that Ellie had turned her face away, not looking directly at him. Ellie's behavior made Yun Zhe a little uncomfortable, as if he were being looked down upon, and he couldn't help but have some doubts about her answer. "What grudge could you possibly have that you had to kill? Why not just tie him up and rob him?"

Ellie's eyes were unfocused, but she didn't speak. Large tears kept welling up in her eyes, but she still didn't say a word.

When Yun Zhe saw the girl's tear-streaked face, he panicked immediately. He thought to himself, "Could this be the result of someone deeply in love? With this thought in mind, Yun Zhe quickly waved his hand, "Alright, alright, I agree. If you don't want to talk about it, then don't. Everyone has been hurt in love before."

"You swear."

Helpless, Yun Zhe raised one hand to the sky and said, "I swear, if I break this oath, may I be struck by lightning."

Upon hearing this, Ellie's eyes darted around, a smug look on her face. "He's thousands of miles away. At your speed..." Ellie glanced at Yun Zhe, who was hiding in the shade, "it'll probably take you years to get there..."
