The Walking Dead: Transmigrated

The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.

I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.

Oh well, being Chinese is fine.

Just ...

Chapter 107

Chapter 107

I didn't feel any change in my life; the proposal didn't seem to bring anything different, except for the ring on my hand.

It seems that getting married isn't so bad after all.

Lina lazily snuggled under the covers, and Daryl sat down on the edge of the bed where it dipped. "Get up for breakfast?"

If we had to say something different, it would probably be that Daryl's cooking skills have improved a lot recently, and we can now cook some home-style dishes at home.

"What did you make?" Lina yawned, grabbed a piece of clothing from the side, and started putting it on with her eyes closed.

"North African eggs, and roasted potatoes." The tomatoes have been growing well lately, and Heath and his crew brought back a lot of canned tomatoes, so Alexander is experiencing a tomato-eating boom.

“Sounds good,” she said. Although she didn’t like eggs, her recent miserable days had briefly rekindled her love for them.

“Remember to finish your food, you’re too thin,” Daryl pinched Lina’s cheek. “I’m leaving.”

"Where are we going?" Lina opened her eyes groggily. She hadn't heard that he had any plans to go out.

“We’re going to collect supplies with Rick. We arranged it last night,” Daryl said.

"Huh?" Lina was stunned for a moment. "I want to go too!" It wasn't that she was worried about it, but she was simply heartbroken about that truckload of supplies.

“Um…” Daryl looked at Lina with some hesitation.

"Wait a minute, I'll be right there," Lina said, not caring about dawdling anymore. She quickly changed her clothes and rushed into the bathroom.

Daryl scratched his head in frustration. Anyway, Lina didn't have any work lately, so going together shouldn't be a bad idea.

Well, let Rick decide. He can't refuse Lina anyway.

Having made up his mind, Daryl tidied up the room and started packing. He was rather rough around the edges, but since he was taking Lina out, he figured he should prepare a little more stuff.

When Lina came out, Daryl had already finished preparing. She hadn't wanted to eat breakfast, but Daryl forced Lina to sit at the table and make her eat a whole bowl of North African eggs. Daryl then finished up the rest.

Finally, Rick, who was getting impatient, knocked on the door to check on Daryl, who had never been so slow before.

"I'm going too!" Lina said bluntly as soon as she opened the door and saw Rick.

Rick looked at Daryl helplessly, but Daryl quickly looked away and started playing with his fingers.

Looking at Daryl's behavior, Rick shook his head speechlessly.

"Why can't I! I haven't had any work lately either! I also want to go out and find supplies!" Lina said angrily, hands on her hips.

Rick wasn't angry at being misunderstood. "Okay, okay, have you packed your things?"

Lina turned to look at Daryl.

“All packed,” Daryl said, handing a backpack to Lina.

“Alright, let’s go,” Rick said. “I’ll go say hello to Hershel, see you over at the car.”

Daryl had indeed packed everything Lena might need while she was out, and all that was left was to sling his knife over his shoulder. The two quickly headed towards the door. On the way, Daryl ran into Denise, who brought him a list of supplies and mentioned a type of soda that Tara might like; she wanted to surprise her girlfriend.

That's so thoughtful.

"Lina exclaimed, but Denise seems to have been shot through the eye by someone? Is that true?" Lina pondered. "Yes, it seems she really didn't survive."

For Tara's sake, she had to remember this and be careful when Dennis went out.

Not long after they arrived at the car, Rick arrived as well. The three of them got in the car, Rick drove, Daryl sat in the passenger seat, and Lena lay leisurely in the back seat, where she could also catch up on some sleep.

Upon reaching the gate, Eugene pulled out a piece of paper with a map marked with possible locations of crops. He also emphasized that sorghum was a severely undervalued crop, and Eugene truly spoke in long, complex sentences.

Looking at Daryl's expression, Lina bet he hadn't understood everything. Turning around, she saw Rick's expression was also quite amusing.

The two generals were completely dumbfounded.

Lina shook her head in disgust. "I told you to read more books, but you insisted on feeding pigs."

Wait, Rick really did feed pigs! Hahahaha!

Lina laughed for no apparent reason, which made the two people in front of her even more confused.

But Lina wasn't in the mood to share; she wasn't confident she could explain the joke to those two.

Unable to get an answer, the two bewildered generals became even more confused. They could only exchange glances silently, which Lina did not see, as they drove towards Alexandria.

However, Lina's smugness didn't last long. Rick, despite Daryl's disapproving attempts to stop him, turned on the stereo.

This song seems a bit corny? Daryl doesn't seem to like it.

Lena didn't like it either; it was too boring. They should play heavy rock to get the party started!

Unfortunately, Lina couldn't secure the broadcasting rights.

They drove for a long time as planned, and passed a small warehouse. Rick, who had driven past it, deliberately reversed back, since it looked like no one had touched it, and what if there was something good there?

As Moore often said, good things are always hidden away.

Prying open the garage door, the most unexpected thing was that the word 'sorghum' was written on it. Perhaps the garage was full of sorghum? Pulling back the roller shutter, there was a truck parked inside. Lina instantly became alert. Was this the place? But there didn't seem to be anyone around here.

Lina circled around a few more times with her knife in hand, but she couldn't find a single person, let alone a zombie.

“Look at this, probability,” Rick laughed.

“Yes,” Daryl said noncommittally.

“Let’s start the car, grab the gear, and we’ll be there later…” Rick suddenly remembered that there were three of them.

“Me, me, me! I’ll drive our car!” Lina eagerly raised her hand. She didn’t like driving tall vehicles like trucks. Although she didn’t know where Jesus was, who cares? She just wanted to get the supplies back first.

Rick raised an eyebrow. "Okay, let's take another route back and see if we run into anything."

"Huh?" Lina frowned. So they met on another route?

"What's wrong?" Rick asked, puzzled.

"No, it's nothing," Lina sighed. "You guys should hurry up and fix the car."

There was nothing seriously wrong with the car, and Rick and Daryl fixed it in no time. The group then drove back home.

It was a road that Lina hadn't been on much before, so Lina reluctantly followed Daryl and his truck, which was driving incredibly slowly!

The only good thing is that Lina now enjoys the right to request songs.

Finally, I can escape Rick's aesthetic and play some upbeat music.

After driving for a while, the truck stopped, and they arrived at a gas station.

Lina became alert again. Could this be the place?

After thinking for a moment, Lina also got out of the car. Daryl was clinging to a vending machine, probably looking for what Dennis wanted.

Rick and Daryl tried for a long time, but the vending machine only moved slightly. Lina went over and gave it a push, and the vending machine flipped over.

"Is it that?" Lina asked, pointing into the glass.

Although they were used to it, Rick and Daryl still felt awkward. They exchanged a glance and pretended to look at the bottle that Lena was pointing at.

“It’s that one, it should be,” Daryl said after looking at it.

Suddenly, a person rushed out from behind Rick, startling the three of them. Lina looked at the man with his face covered in confusion. Was it him?

"Back off! Now!" Daryl quickly drew his gun and pointed it at the other man.

"Hands up!" Rick pointed his gun at the other man as well.

“Oh… relax, guys,” the man glanced quickly at Lina, “It’s nice to meet you, Miss.”

Daryl's expression turned grim, and the man immediately looked away. "I was just hiding from walkers,"

"How many are there?" Daryl asked in a deep voice.

"A dozen or so, maybe more. I don't want to take the risk. I'll run once I reach double digits."

“Where?” Daryl pressed.

Rick kept backing away, looking at the spot where the man had run out from.

"About half a mile behind? They're heading this way. You have about eleven minutes,"

“Okay, thanks for telling us,” Rick said, putting away his gun.

After staring at the person in front of her for a long time, Lina finally confirmed that it was definitely him. That strange beard, or rather, that very distinctive beard, was something that couldn't be covered by a small rag.

“You’re welcome. They outnumber us, don’t they? We must unite,” Jesus said.

He shifted his body slightly, looking at Rick behind Daryl. "Right?"

"Do you have a camp?" Jesus asked.

“No,” Daryl said cautiously.

"And you?" Rick asked.

"No, I'm sorry I bumped into you. I have to go now. If this is the new world, I hope you are doing well." Jesus turned and left.

“I’m Rick, this is Daryl, and this is Lina. What’s your name?” Rick asked.

Jesus stopped, turned around, and pulled down his mask. "Paul Lowe."

Who is this? Lina became uncertain again, but this looks just like Jesus, doesn't it?

“My friends usually call me Jesus, you can call me whatever you like.” Jesus raised his arms in a flamboyant manner, as if he were the one hanging on the cross.

“You said you don’t have a camp, are you all alone?” Rick asked.

“Yes,” Jesus said, “but it’s best not to get any funny ideas,” he said rather threateningly.

“And it’s best not to make any threats that are beyond your capabilities,” Daryl immediately retorted sarcastically.

Lina chuckled. Daryl hated pretentious people the most, hahaha.

“That’s right,” Jesus said, even nodding slightly to Lina who was smiling, before turning and leaving.

"How many walkers have you killed..." Rick asked.

“No! We don’t want this guy!” Daryl strongly objected.

"How many walkers have you killed?" Rick clearly had a different opinion from Daryl, and he raised his voice to insist.

“Sorry, I have to run away, and you better do too. You probably have about seven minutes left,” Jesus said, and ran off without looking back.

"Why did you ask him?" Daryl complained, annoyed.

Even though he looked aggrieved, he was still adorable. Lina watched the show with a smile. Although he seemed to be her man, hehe, she loved shipping them.

“He’s very clean, his beard is trimmed, there must be something going on,” Rick explained.

“Then he didn’t have a gun either,” Daryl said.

"We can follow him, observe him, learn more about him, see if he's really alone, and maybe take him back,"

“No, this guy calls himself Jesus,” Daryl said with a look of disgust. What kind of lunatic is this?

Suddenly, gunshots rang out from behind the house, and the two men immediately grabbed their guns and ran over.

Lina, having thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle, walked smugly to the car, leaned against the door, and leisurely greeted Jesus, who had circled back, "Hi~ Paul~"
