The Walking Dead: Transmigrated

The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.

I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.

Oh well, being Chinese is fine.

Just ...

Chapter 14

The escape will not be smooth sailing; the first problem they will face after leaving the CDC is fuel.

“We have to conserve fuel,” Rick and Sean discussed.

“We can get into the RV; it can fit us,” Sean said, glancing at the group who were packing up. “Yours, and the RV; we’ll leave the rest behind.”

“That’s what I think too,” Rick nodded and patted Sean on the shoulder.

Lina tossed two large backpacks onto the RV. "What are those?" Glenn asked curiously.

“Something you’ll absolutely love,” Lina said.

Dale raised an eyebrow. As the owner of the RV, he had the right to be the first to know what was inside. He looked at Lina, who nodded indifferently.

Dell opened his backpack, "My God!"

Glenn was stunned. "My God! You really, wow—"

Everyone crowded around excitedly. "Did you loot the warehouse completely?" Rick looked at Lina with amusement.

"Thank you for my wise move," Lina wrinkled her nose, flicked her right thumb across her nose with a flourish, and looked smugly at the happy crowd.

Apart from Jacqueline and Jim.

They both stayed at the CDC.

She had assumed that if Jim hadn't died, Jacqueline would change her mind.

Jacqueline is a very, very gentle person who tries her best to take care of everyone.

Thinking of this, Lina's joy faded.

“We’ll have to give up some vehicles; everyone should get into the RVs,” Rick said as everyone gathered around.

“I ride a motorcycle,” Daryl said, putting down his motorcycle and leaving the pickup truck behind.

“I guess I didn’t have a choice either,” Moore said, pursing his lips. He was, of course, with Daryl.

“Yes, you get in the RV,” Lina said, and ran towards Daryl.

"Hey!" Moore was stunned. He was supposed to stay with those guys? Was he crazy?

"This is my brother!" Moore shouted as he chased after him.

“You two are both my henchmen,” Lina jumped onto the motorcycle and clung tightly to Daryl’s waist, so tightly that Moore couldn’t pull her off with one hand.

Rick looked at the three arguing over there with a headache, and then looked helplessly at Glenn.

Glenn gave an awkward laugh. What could he do?

“…” Daryl felt like his waist was about to be broken.

"Moore!" he called out helplessly.

"Fine! Daria's all grown up!" Mor glared at Lina angrily, muttering under his breath as he walked toward the RV.

Lena smugly took over the back seat of the motorcycle. Please, she didn't want to sit on the same bike as Sean; the atmosphere there would kill her.

Before Rick could come up with a solution, seeing Moore approaching, he knew the outcome was already decided.

Rick had no choice but to accept it.

“Can’t you just leave your bag in the car?” Daryl asked, exasperated.

“No way,” Lina rolled her eyes. “Why are you all eyeing my backpack? Are you jealous?”

"No, I don't even know what you packed in there, it's so heavy." Daryl scoffed and started the motorcycle.

"Tch," Lina muttered under her breath, "Are you impotent?"

Daryl's hand slipped, and he almost crashed into a tree.

"Can you please stop saying such ambiguous things?" Daryl said through gritted teeth, his voice low.

"You're the one who's thinking the wrong thing, you're such a closet pervert," Lina retorted.

Frustrated, Daryl twisted the throttle, and the motorcycle flew off.

"Whoa—" Lina opened her right hand and cheered. The wind rushed by, and apart from the stench in the air, it was just like being on the way to a picnic.

"She's having a good time," Moore said, leaning against the window and glaring at Lina and Daryl's retreating figures.

"Come and sit down," Andrea said with a helpless smile.

“You need to be careful of that little witch, she might brainwash your brother and make him think only of her,” Sean joked as he cleaned his gun.

"What the hell is it to you?" Moore glared at Sean, walked to the back of the RV, and lay down on the bed.

Amy looked at Sean and Andrea awkwardly and smiled, "I think his hand is still a little sore."

Andrea rolled her eyes with a laugh and lowered her voice, "Come on, we all know what kind of guy he is, let's ignore him." She looked at Sean reassuringly; after all, he had saved Amy.

Sean raised an eyebrow. Although he wasn't happy about being rebuffed, he had no intention of teaching that bastard a lesson right now. Sean was wiping his gun while his mind wandered.

"There's a traffic jam ahead," Lina shouted loudly into Daryl's ear, pointing ahead.

“I saw it!” Daryl shouted back just as loudly; he wasn’t blind!

He rode his motorcycle around to the RV. "Do you see a road we can cross?" Dale asked.

Daryl glanced at him, gesturing for Dale to follow. After walking for a short while, Lena looked back and saw that the RV had stopped. It must be that hose problem again.

“Hey, the RV’s broken down again.” Lina patted Daryl on the shoulder.

Daryl stopped the motorcycle, and Lina jumped off. Looking around, she said, "I think we could look around here?"

Daryl parked his motorcycle and nodded.

"I want a sun-protective shirt, the sun is hurting me so much," Lina complained. It was too hot, and she had to wear short sleeves, but the sun was making her arms hurt.

“You should be in the RV,” Daryl glanced at her; her arms were red, as were her face and neck. “UV allergy?” He pinched Lena’s chin and looked her up and down.

“No, I haven’t heard of that,” Lina denied, making a discriminatory comment, “I think only you white people have allergies to this and that.”

“Hmm,” Daryl grumbled in dissatisfaction, “it’s not me who’s getting sunburned like a monkey’s butt.” He released her hand; she needed a hat, a sun-protective shirt, or a scarf.

“Go check on them.” Daryl turned to walk back, and Lina jogged a few steps to catch up.

"I hate the sun," Lina complained lazily.

"Shall we go to the car and rest?" Daryl said.

"I'm going to Rick's," Lina said and ran off.

Daryl glanced at him, then went to the RV. Sure enough, it was hoses again. He began rummaging through an open vehicle.

Lina climbed into the back seat of the car, and everyone else got out. She lay down comfortably and, remembering what would happen next, put her backpack away.

"This is a graveyard."

Lina heard Lori say something from not far away.

Lina peeked out with a grin, "The whole world is a graveyard, what difference does it make?"

Daryl glared at Lina from afar, and after a moment of silence, everyone began to move.

Lina rested for a while, maybe just a few minutes, before she had to get up and search the carriages. She really needed a sun-protective garment.

However, she estimated that she wouldn't be able to find it.

Then I can only hope to find a thin long-sleeved shirt.

The new clothes she found earlier were all used to stop Mor's bleeding. Even though Lina has a big bag, there isn't much space left for clothes.

There were plenty of clothes in the carriage. Lina found a few short-sleeved shirts that looked relatively new, but there wasn't a single sun-protective shirt in sight.

Lena swayed and staggered over to Lori and the others. "Has anyone found the sun protection clothing?" Lena asked weakly.

“No,” Lori looked at Lina with some concern, “you don’t look well.”

"I don't know," Lina said, feeling dizzy.

"Are you suffering from heatstroke?" Carol stepped forward and touched Lina's forehead. "You should go back to the car and rest."

At that moment, Rick rushed over and yelled at everyone to lie down.

Lori pulled Carol under the car, and Lena quickly found a spot under the car to hide as well. She could see Sophia lying in front of her.

Good heavens! Lina swallowed nervously. One after another, the horde of corpses passed by her. Lina stared intently at Sophia, not daring to look away for even a second.

While in the RV, Moore suddenly felt something was wrong. As soon as he got up, he saw a horde of zombies outside the vehicle. To make matters worse, one of them got into the vehicle!

Moore crouched on the bed, pressed against the car wall; thankfully, he had put on his novice driver's license.

He heard sobbing coming from the toilet next door. He recognized the sound all too well. Moore gently knocked on the car wall. The slight noise attracted the zombie, and he immediately plunged a knife into the zombie's head, then helped the zombie slowly fall down into the aisle.

The horde of corpses had passed, and silence fell. Lina watched Sophia try to climb out.

She frantically gestured to Sofia, but Sofia still crawled out and was discovered by the walkers.

Lina quickly crawled out, drew the short knife from her waist, and killed a zombie.

She turned around, feeling dizzy, and saw Sophia being chased into the woods by a walker, with Rick following behind.

Lina, carrying a short knife, jumped over the fence and gave chase.

Her sense of direction was really bad; as she walked through the woods, everything looked the same. Lina tried hard to catch up with Rick, but she quickly lost track of them.

Fortunately, she arrived at the pool.

She saw Sophia, and just as Sophia looked at Lina with surprise, her expression suddenly changed. Lina realized something and stabbed a zombie behind her with her backhand.

After dealing with the zombie, Lina helped Sophia up. "Do you know the way back?" Lina felt unwell, her head spinning even more.

“Rick said the sunlight fell on my left shoulder,” Sophia said timidly.

"Great, now it's up to you. Take us back." Lina shook her head; she felt a little nauseous.

"Are you alright?" Sophia asked Lina with concern.

“Not very good, so next you have to…” Before Lina could finish speaking, another zombie staggered out from behind the tree.

"No way..." Lina was somewhat desperate. She held the short knife and struggled to stab it into the corpse's head. There were rustling sounds coming from the woods. Lina looked at Sophia, "Looks like we have to run for our lives first."

Sofia nodded hurriedly, then grabbed Lina and tried to run back.

Lina followed, feeling dizzy and unsteady. She heard the sounds of zombies behind her, and the road ahead seemed unfamiliar. They must have gone the wrong way.

"No, this won't do," Lina sensed something was wrong. She pulled Sophia to a stop. The movement of the walkers behind them was getting closer and closer. Lina looked at her hands, trembling, and could barely hold the knife.

Sofia started crying out of fear.

"Shh, shh, shh," Lina crouched down, looking at Sophia with a dazed expression, "Listen, you have to keep quiet, okay?"

Lina gritted her teeth, picked up Sophia, and helped her climb the tree. "Climb up, Sophia!"

She frantically tried to climb up, and Lina braced herself against the tree so she could step on her shoulders.

Sophia successfully climbed the tree, and Lina breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the zombie in front of her.

Next, it all depends on your luck.

Lina sat down against the tree, trembling; she had no strength left.
