The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.
I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.
Oh well, being Chinese is fine.

Chapter 56
Lina didn't bring a gun. First of all, you don't need a gun for hunting, and secondly, how can you fish with a gun?
Although the two knives she carried were not to be trifled with, these bastards usually liked to judge her by her appearance.
Not knowing if there were any fish in the river, Lina didn't want to go into the water. With her strong yet weak physique, she was afraid of catching a cold from getting wet in the rain. However, Lina wasn't there to catch fish. She picked up her water bottle, filled it with some water, and then took out a handkerchief, wet it, and began to wipe her face and neck.
While observing her surroundings, Lina pondered how to fish. Soon, Lina found the opportunity she was looking for: three zombies.
Lina clumsily drew her dagger, missing three times before being chased and forced to run around in circles. After being tackled, she managed to kill one of the zombies, only to be cornered by two more zombies in front of a tree.
Lina cried her eyes out, repeatedly screaming for help.
He truly used all his acting skills.
Fortunately, her terrible acting skills attracted attention.
"Hands up," Gray said, finishing off the walker with two slashes and turning to Lina.
Lina obediently raised her hands, sobbing as she said, "Don't hurt me, I can give you food, we have some squirrels..."
“No, child,” Gray pointed the knife at Lina, “I don’t need those disgusting rats.”
"Are you going to eat me?" Lina sobbed. "I heard them say that you eat people."
Grey sensed something was wrong. Why did she think he was a cannibal? He had never seen this girl before.
Oh dear, Lina noticed something was off about Gray's gaze and immediately drew her knife and slashed at him.
Caught off guard, Gray was slashed in the chest. Had he not retreated quickly, the blade would have pierced his chest.
“You’re a liar,” Gray looked at Lina and laughed, laughing at himself for being blinded by anger and failing to keep his composure when it was so obvious.
Gray reached for his gun, and Lina rushed over to engage him in combat, remembering that within seven steps, it starts with you and me.
"Ah!" Gray cried out in pain as Lina slashed his arm with her knife. Lina picked up the knife and pressed it down on his neck. Gray struggled desperately, but damn it, how could she be so strong?
As the knife drew ever closer to his neck, Gray frantically kicked his legs, sending Lina flying. Lina stood up, and Gray drew his gun and fired at her.
Lina had no choice but to hide behind a tree; it would be a shame if he got away!
"Grey!"
"Oh no!" Lina glanced around. There was more than one person now. Including the one from before, there were three people in total. Lina listened to their conversation and quickly ran into the woods.
Gray watched Lina's retreating figure. "Where are they?"
"They're rushing back and forth; we have to leave."
"Damn it," Gray spat angrily.
As Lina ran back, she didn't encounter Rick and the others, but instead ran into two men with guns, who seemed to be accomplices of the cannibal.
Lena raised her hand helplessly. "They're coming soon. You'd better run," Lena said.
"I'm hungry,"
"Me too."
"I bet you guys don't eat squirrels either?" Lina rolled her eyes and said.
“I prefer brisket,” one of the men said. “Alright, let’s go, or I wouldn’t mind killing you first.”
Lina turned around, gun pressed against her back, and walked back in the direction she had come from. After circling around, Lina glanced around and thought, "Give me a zombie!"
The walkers didn't come, but Lina heard from their radios that Rick and his group were getting closer.
"Forget it, let's hurry up and go," the two behind them argued. One thought there was no need to take Lina with him and that they should run away as soon as possible. The other hesitated for a while. Lina didn't know his plan, but if they didn't run now, she would get her head ripped off!
Lina nimbly squatted down and, with all her might, punched the man in his most vulnerable spot. There seemed to be blood. Lina shook her hand in disgust. She was dirty. Waaah, it's all Eugene's fault!
Upon seeing him, certain images invaded Lina's mind, and Lina instinctively came up with a quick idea.
Just as another man was about to fire, a crossbow bolt pierced his brain.
Lena breathed a sigh of relief, but she was startled by the sound of gunfire. She glanced over and saw that it was Gray and his two companions, who were angrily firing at Daryl.
Lina was already crouching on the ground, so she rolled over on the spot, and using the bushes as cover, quietly took out her knife and crept up behind them.
With a single stab, Lina, holding the corpse against the blade and braving the bullets, hid behind a tree, discarded the body, and looked at Daryl over there. Daryl nodded, fired an arrow, and Lina ran frantically backward.
Rick and the others who arrived also began firing. Upon seeing this, Gray immediately told his companions to run away. He glared at Lina angrily and then fired at her.
“Little Na!” Daryl shouted.
"Get down!" Lina shouted in extreme terror as she saw Rick's face contort.
The world seemed to slow down. Lina saw Rick and Glenn's expressions slowly contort with fear, and she realized that she must be in great danger.
The gunshots seemed to have stopped, the wind seemed to have stopped, and all the subtle sounds in the forest disappeared. Rick and Glenn's mouths opened and closed, while Lena could only hear her own heartbeat.
Intense, tense, regrettable.
Compared to the last time she was sick and in a daze, she didn't have the time or energy to think about many things. This time, the accident came unexpectedly, but it was different.
Lina clearly felt the threat of death, and she also heard the words in her own heart.
She doesn't want to die yet.
She didn't have time to think about anything else or anyone else; she was only aware of how terrified she was, terrified of dying.
Lina closed her eyes and lunged forward. The bullet grazed the side of her head, stinging her.
Daryl glanced at the vanished Gray, then, without a second thought, ran to Lina's side, threw away his crossbow, and picked her up.
"Little Na?" Daryl shook Lina, whose eyes were tightly closed.
Daryl looked at Rick with a helpless expression.
Rick took a deep breath, put away his gun, and walked to Lina's side. She was still breathing. He brushed Lina's hair aside. "No, you weren't hit. It's just a graze."
Glenn stood there dumbfounded until Rick finished speaking, then he collapsed to the ground, nearly scared to death.
Tara breathed a sigh of relief. She looked at Moore and asked softly, "Where is the child's mother?"
Moore looked at Tara with a puzzled expression. "Dead?" Why did he suddenly ask that?
"Hmm, it must be very hard to take care of a child alone." Tara thought of her sister and felt a little down.
"..." Moore was completely dumbfounded. "That's my brother."
“Oh, you two brothers take care of the kids together? Respect.” Tara touched her forehead with her index and middle fingers together.
“…That is…” Moore’s lips twitched, just then the commotion started again.
Lina suddenly opened her eyes, looked at Daryl with his cat-like face in front of her, and suddenly hugged and kissed him.
Daryl paused for a moment. No, although... Rick was still there! Glenn was still watching! And...
Rick paused for a moment, glanced helplessly at Lena, stood up and shook his head. He awkwardly scratched his cheek, walked to Glenn's side, and pulled Glenn up. Glenn also had an expression of not being able to bear to look at him. The two looked at each other awkwardly, turned their backs, and then saw Tara looking stunned.
“Yes, that’s exactly it,” Moore said, pointing to the two people kissing.
Tara's mind was in a mess. "No, you, uh, isn't there some ethical issue with adopting a child? And, it's a child, if I'm not mistaken?"
“She’s almost eighteen, and Daryl isn’t her father,” Moore said, speechless. “You’ve already thought of adoption, but can’t you imagine they just got together?”
Is this what you call naivety? Tara was starting to question her life choices.
Listening to their conversation, Glenn and Rick roughly guessed what was going on, and thinking of the two people behind them, they couldn't help but laugh.
Lina begged Daryl to carry her in a princess carry; she was terrified and desperately needed comforting!
This was probably the closest she'd ever come to death. Lina was still shaken. She vowed never to be reckless again. Life was so wonderful! Daryl had such a great figure and such strong arms. She really wanted to...
Anyway, those few seconds of near-death experience made Lina realize everything, because she wanted to live, wanted to live well, wanted to be with Daryl, and ideally, wanted to be with everyone every day, until their hair turned white, and they could still sit at a big table and chat.
Daryl slung his crossbow over his shoulder, picked up the clingy Lina, and walked toward them. Glenn and Rick looked at the two of them and smiled strangely. Daryl felt a little uncomfortable, but more than that, he found it odd.
Tara seemed somewhat hesitant to look at him.
Daryl looked at Moore, who grinned maliciously. "The single dad's back with his little princess?"
?
"What nonsense are you spouting?" Daryl looked at Moore, bewildered.
“I’m so sorry,” Tara stammered. She really wasn’t, well, she was just a little bit off.
Daryl realized what was happening, pursed his lips unhappily, but didn't know what to say.
Glenn and Rick burst into even louder laughter, "Time flies, youth fades away."
"I'll remember to bring you some face masks next time," Glenn laughed, clutching his stomach, tears welling up in his eyes.
“And then there’s face cream, lotion, that’s a huge undertaking,” Rick laughed, echoing Glenn.
"Come on, your beard makes you look ten years older than Daryl," Lina said, glancing at Rick with a huff. As for Glenn, she really couldn't do anything about it; the kid just looked very young.
Rick shrugged, unconcerned; it was the charm of a mature man.
"Hmph, so what if he's an old man? In my hometown, we say old men are caring," Lina's mouth was covered by Daryl, so there was no need to keep emphasizing that he was an old man, thank you.
Daryl, with a sour face, carried Lena back, while Morgren and Rick huddled together, laughing heartily.
Nothing is more entertaining than watching your brother make a fool of himself, especially in this kind of situation.
Tara covered her face in embarrassment. Oh my god.
When they reached the vicinity of the camp, Lina felt too embarrassed to let Daryl continue carrying her, so she jumped down herself. Apart from a slightly burning headache, she was perfectly fine.
Tara hesitated, glancing at Daryl and Lina, wanting to speak but too shy to do so.
Lena glanced at her. "Don't worry about it. I have a baby face. I'll probably still look like this in twenty years. I'll accept it." As she spoke, Lena suddenly turned to Daryl. "Won't people think we're having a twilight romance?"
Daryl was speechless, and glared angrily at Lina.
Lena stared at Daryl for a long time. Actually, if he were tidied up, he wouldn't look so out of place with her age. But, "You should just leave him like this," Lena nodded seriously. He was already attractive enough being this slovenly. If he were any cleaner, wouldn't she have to keep Daryl tied to her waistband?
Daryl had no idea what Lina was thinking, but he was contemplating shaving himself.
Tara looked at Lina and realized she really wasn't angry. She tentatively extended her fist towards the two of them, "So you're not angry anymore?"
Lena looked at Daryl, who raised an eyebrow and bumped fists with Tara. Seeing this, Lena curiously joined in the fun.
Back at camp, everyone looked at Lina and Daryl with concern. Lina only said that they had just run into the ogre gang and that they might come back, so she reminded everyone to be careful.
Anyway, that's the truth; it's just a matter of minor flaws.
