The world is a piece of dog shit, but luckily you are by my side.

I woke up and went from being Chinese in China to being Chinese in America.

Oh well, being Chinese is fine.

Just ...

Even though Daryl had made thorough preparations, he never expected the person in front of him to say those words again.

Does he look like an idiot?

Can a lie be told twice?

Moreover, Daryl gets angry whenever he's mentioned.

"Get lost." Daryl released Lina and spat on the ground, annoyed.

Watching him get into the car without looking back, Lina yanked open the door and jumped in too, yelling, "My car can't be driven!!"

Daryl gripped the steering wheel, trying to steady his breathing.

Debt collectors.

"What exactly do you want?" Daryl's tone calmed down as he became genuinely annoyed by the commotion.

"...I...I have nowhere to go," Lina stammered.

“I’ll take you to the hotel, you can go in by yourself.” Daryl was afraid of being scammed again.

"...I have no money, my card is frozen," Lina said softly.

Daryl rolled his eyes, took the bag Lina had given him from the passenger seat, pulled out a wad of cash, and said, "This is for the car repairs." He then tossed the rest of the bag to Lina.

"Can you walk now?" Then you don't need him to see you off anymore, right?

Lina was surprised that this person was so easy to talk to, and despite thinking he was greedy, he turned out not to be.

"My phone is lost too."

Very well, Daryl tightened his grip on the steering wheel. Was he sticking to him now?

“I’ll take you home. You have a home, don’t you?” Daryl said through gritted teeth.

"……No."

"..." Daryl was a little angry. Did she even know what she was doing? It was late at night, and he had already been very kind by offering to take her home, following a strange man. And what was the result?

They don't know what's good for them.

"You want to be with me, is that it?" Daryl's words were full of anger, but Lina didn't hear it.

"...Well, it's not impossible." She just felt that this person seemed pretty good.

He's good-looking, has a good figure, and is good at kissing. Although his personality is terrible, his character seems decent.

He's probably not a bad person.

Daryl sneered and stepped on the gas, speeding toward his apartment.

The place he stayed in was not a place that rich people had ever seen. If the rich lived in the best places in the world, then he was like a cockroach, hiding in the darkest place in the world.

There are all kinds of people here, and the one thing that's never lacking is jerks.

Lina nervously carried her small suitcase and followed Daryl into the dilapidated apartment.

She regretted it a little.

From the houses next door came the sounds of children crying, couples fighting, and drug addicts howling.

She had never seen a place like this before.

The old iron railings have become sticky with age, just like this place, seemingly ready to devour everyone who is here.

Daryl pushed open the door and pulled Lina inside. Before Lina could react, she was pressed against the door, and hot lips pressed down on hers. The familiar yet unfamiliar breath lingered between their lips and teeth, and rough hands moved up her T-shirt, roughly kneading her skin. Lina was stunned.

She began to struggle, but Daryl seemed determined to fight her, using more and more force, pinching her soft areas until they ached. Lena was terrified and cried. She bit Daryl's lip hard while crying, and the taste of blood spread. Only then did Daryl release her. Looking at the huddled figure on the ground, Daryl coldly wiped his lips with his finger. He had really bitten her hard.

"Are you out of your mind?" This spoiled, brainless rich kid, does she think he's some kind of good person?

Has she lived too long to dare go home with a complete stranger?

Daryl was furious. "Go back to your mother's arms and nurse."

Lina stopped crying and looked up at Daryl. "They're all dead!"

Darylton paused for a moment, seemingly stunned. After a while, he scratched his head in frustration, tsk, what a brainless brat.

What does it have to do with him? It's not like he killed her parents.

"..." She just huddled by the door, sobbing softly. Daryl was speechless. Even in this state, shouldn't you know to run away if you have a brain?

"You're crazy." Daryl kicked the wall hard, then returned to his bedroom speechlessly and slammed the door shut.

To hell with her.

Lina was also a little confused. She didn't know what was wrong with this old man or why he was so fickle.

She had the stun gun ready.

Why is he acting so strangely?

Lina looked blankly at the dark house. By the moonlight, she could see that the house looked very poor, with no extra furniture, just a kitchen, a simple wooden dining table, and a sofa.

That's all, plus his closed bedroom door.

Lina quietly opened the door. A whistle came from the doorway, followed by the sound of breaking glass. It seemed like a fight had broken out downstairs.

Lina closed the door in fear.

She really regretted it.

She must be out of her mind.

Looking at the dilapidated house, Lina felt like crying.

There isn't even a landline.

Lina cried sadly. She shouldn't have been so willful. She knew she was wrong. She wanted to go home.

But she had no home.

The more she thought about it, the sadder she became. Lina collapsed onto the sofa, clutching a pillow and sobbing softly.

Edward and Anne are both good people, but they are not a father and mother.

Lina cried herself to sleep; she was exhausted after a long day.

In the middle of the night, Daryl yawned, walked out of his bedroom to the bathroom, and found that the person at the door was gone. He had heard the door open, so they must have left.

Having satisfied his physical needs, Daryl swayed back to the bedroom...

Is there something on his sofa?

Daryl took two steps back, looked down and examined it carefully. F$%K!, how come it's still there?

Daryl almost came to his senses; he was somewhat devastated and speechless.

Why are you clinging to him?

Is he out of his mind? Is it too late for him to call the police?

Daryl squatted by the sofa and stared for a long time before finally getting up in frustration and going back to his room to sleep.

Daryl tossed and turned in bed for a long time, then sighed. The image of the person he had vaguely seen in the moonlight lingered in his mind. Her eyes were red, tears still clung to her face, her nose was red, and her lips… thanks to him, were the reddest.

Daryl sighed, sat up, and was utterly exasperated.

Daryl grabbed the blanket, walked out, threw it on the sofa, and went back to his room.

For the sake of money.

The next morning, Daryl was awakened by a burnt smell.

Did that drunkard next door set fire to the house again?

Daryl jumped out of bed and rushed out in a panic.

He was stunned as soon as he stepped out of the bedroom; his kitchen was filled with smoke.

The girl was standing at the kitchen doorway, looking at him with tears in her eyes.

F$%K!!

Daryl pulled her aside and went inside. The contents of the pot were unrecognizable; the entire bottom of the pot was blackened to a crisp, and the walls still showed faint signs of burning.

Daryl turned off the stove, threw the pot into the sink, and stormed out of the kitchen in a huff.

The girl looked at him cautiously, and Daryl noticed a string of blisters on her hand, which appeared to have been burned.

“You…” Daryl had a string of curses he wanted to say, but he swallowed them back down under her tearful gaze.

They're all sick! They're all sick!

Daryl walked into the bedroom grumbling to himself, took out a first-aid kit, and pulled her hand to sit on the sofa.

At least he's not an idiot; he knew to rinse it with cold water.

Daryl found the burn ointment, applied it to her burns, and then bandaged it up. After doing all that, Daryl seemed to realize what she had done and kept condemning herself in her heart.

What's it to you? What are you pretending to be, playing the good Samaritan? It's disgusting!

Daryl packed up the first-aid kit with a dark expression, then put the items back.

As soon as he came out, he saw her clinging to the back of the sofa, looking at him cautiously.

Daryl's mouth moved, but he didn't know what to say.

ill.

"Are you trying to burn me alive? My kitchen, pay up!" Daryl said gruffly.

Lina glanced at the bag by the door, then at Daryl, who choked up.

After a long silence, Lina cautiously spoke, "I just wanted to make breakfast." She didn't know why his kitchen utensils were so strange, unlike anything she had ever used.

Why doesn't it turn off the heat and control the temperature by itself? Why is the fire still burning in the pot?

Daryl glanced at the dark kitchen, then turned to look at Lina, wanting to mock her, but seeing her dejected appearance and the smudges on her fair cheeks, he suddenly didn't want to say anything.

Daryl scratched his hair in frustration, went into the kitchen, took out eggs from the refrigerator, and then found some oatmeal with milk.

Before long, Lina was eating hot oatmeal soaked in milk, as well as a fried egg.

This cereal must be the worst she's ever eaten, and the milk isn't fresh either. But Lina glanced at Daryl's dark face with a keen eye and didn't dare say a word.

"I'm off to work. Don't let me see you still here when I get off work." Daryl grabbed his clothes, gave Lina a cold look, and turned to leave.

Lina watched him leave with a spoon in her mouth, feeling increasingly strange.

What kind of person is he?

Daryl was somewhat absent-minded throughout the day, but fortunately, his job as a deliveryman didn't require much concentration; he could simply toss the packages wherever they were supposed to be or weren't.

I wonder if she's left yet? I hope she's already gone.

Daryl ignored his own little expectation and continued his work indifferently.

Daryl didn't get off work too late today. He got some food from a Chinese restaurant and dawdled on his way home.

When I opened the door, the room was quiet, the sofa was neatly arranged, and the room was spotless.

Daryl tossed the takeout he was holding onto the table, where a wad of cash lay. He stared at the cash for a moment, then gave a self-deprecating laugh. Daryl lost his appetite and pushed open the door to his bedroom.

His bedroom was always dark with the curtains drawn, so Daryl didn't notice anything amiss and simply threw himself onto the bed.

Why is the bed unusually soft today?

Did he just bump into something?

Lina was stunned by the blow and looked at the person next to her with sleepy eyes. "Ah, you're back..." she mumbled, but before she could finish speaking, she had already closed her eyes and fallen asleep again.

F$%K!

Daryl jumped out of bed. Whose house is this? Whose bed is this?
