Perhaps annoyed by his noise, Sheng Yi struck him on the back of the neck, causing him to collapse to the ground.

He didn't reach for it, and just watched as Chen Hui fell straight down with a thud.

Sheng Yi glanced at him indifferently, then turned to Zhu Qinghao.

“This man is probably here for you. I’ve been following him ever since he came out of the educated youth settlement. He’s not just passing by; he’s headed straight for you.”

Zhu Qinghao knew from the moment Chen Hui appeared that he was coming for her, so she wasn't surprised at all.

"Yeah, I know. I beat him up during the day, and he's probably still upset, so he's trying to get revenge tonight."

Knowing that Sheng Yi would have doubts, she told him everything that had happened that afternoon.

After hearing this, Sheng Yi clenched his fists tightly where Zhu Qinghao couldn't see.

He only found out later that Zhu Qinghao had gone to the educated youth settlement that night, because those educated youths had gone to get medicine.

However, he didn't know the reason, so he planned to come and check it out that night. As a result, he saw Chen Hui acting suspiciously.

He genuinely thought Chen Hui was just there to steal, so before Chen Hui even entered the yard, he grabbed him and gave him a severe beating. He never expected that this man was there to exact revenge.

When Sheng Yi saw him sneaking towards Zhu Qinghao's courtyard, he punched him in the eye with his first punch and then in the other eye with his second punch.
