A system, sweet romance, beast world, ancient times, and N...P!
I was preparing to go on a trip when I opened my eyes at the boarding gate and transmigrated to the beast world. This is a good...
"Yeah, maybe 2,000 at most. Anyway, we can't find any more. Looking at the main road, the stray animals are all gone. Some are dead, some are injured, and those that ran back are just brave and lucky."
"Their leader is a newly appointed one named Ling Feng, which was told to me by a stray beast. Sometimes stray beasts even trade with us for things."
"They especially like to change the herbal remedies."
Carlos couldn't believe his ears. How glorious they were back then! In the past, stray beasts got whatever they wanted by stealing, never by trading.
If he hadn't seen Carlos with his own eyes, he would still have some doubts about the orcs before him.
"Where is your chieftain?"
A dozen orcs lay prone on the ground, exchanging glances. If their chieftain were exposed, it would be tantamount to revealing the tribe's location to them.
The orcs' origins are unknown, but they appear to be a large tribe, with over ten thousand orcs. Over ten thousand orcs...
There couldn't possibly have been such a large tribe on the ancient continent. If they came from ancient times, and were truly that powerful, their fame would have spread long ago.
The orcs were all of relatively low star level, putting them at a significant disadvantage against a Reverse Star Ring and a Five-Star Ring, and they dared not make any rash moves. However, their squad leader still stood up and took charge.
"Our team leader is in the tribe and can't tell you, but although the resources at the border of the continent are abundant, more orcs will come here to escape the insect plague and leave our territory. Let us go, and just pretend this never happened."
They had their reasons; they'd inexplicably trespassed into their territory, so they went to investigate and see if anything was amiss.
Orcs have many smells, too complex to detect, and with Randy carrying Guo Xiaoxiao on his back, he couldn't smell anything unusual. If there were fewer people, Randy could smell the territories of other people.
Arthur persisted, determined to find the patriarch's whereabouts, deliberately acting menacing; he didn't actually want to exterminate the entire clan.
Instead, they wanted to capture the tribal chief to see the size of their tribe and negotiate some terms.
For example, Arthur Cangjue and Miksen wouldn't share highly confidential information with their subordinates; the clan leader was still the one who truly held the power.
"Tell me or not, or you'll all die here. Take me to your territory; I have a few questions for the chieftain. Otherwise, I'll just bring my orcish army straight into your tribe."
The orc, knocked to the ground, trembled with fear. He didn't want to die; he'd finally escaped death only to be killed. What a waste!
They didn't do anything unnecessary. It's just a routine procedure; was it really necessary to fight like this? A glance didn't cause any harm.
The orc, beaten to the ground, still wanted to try one last time. Even though they were weak, their determination to protect their tribe remained.
They knew perfectly well that once Arthur became ruthless, the people of the tribe would be absolutely unable to resist him.
"What questions do you want to ask? Ask me. I know everything about this region, and my tribe has dismantled the traps. Ask me anything about the Forgotten Continent, and I'll tell you everything I know."
The Crescent Moon tribe didn't stay there for long either. Forced by circumstances, they were willing to answer any questions Arthur asked, leaving no stone unturned, just to survive.
Just as Arthur was about to kill an orc to intimidate them, Guo Xiaoxiao's psionic communication reached his ears.
"Arthur, where are you guys? Aren't you coming back? If we delay any longer, it'll get dark! Have you caught up with them yet?"
Arthur gave Carlos a look, then turned his back.
"Almost there, we've caught them. They're a relatively weak group of orcs from the newly established Crescent Moon Tribe on the border."
Guo Xiaoxiao: "Is it a tribe established by a stray beast? Find out why they're following us, who's leading them, and whether they intend to harm us."
Arthur: "I know all that, but they're not stray beasts, just refugees. It seems we're not the only ones targeting them; there are other orcs on the Forgotten Continent."
Guo Xiaoxiao: "Oh, I see. That's normal. Everyone wants to survive, so running to a safe place is instinctive. Once you're sure there's no danger, hurry back."
Arthur: "Okay, I know. You wait for me, I'll be right back."
The orc lying on the ground had his head buried low, almost touching the ground, afraid to meet his gaze again, lest he inadvertently become one of his own men's dead.
Carlos: "Arthur, I think we should forget about it. If we delay any longer, it'll be really dark..."
Carlos paused here, thinking for a moment.
"How about we take a group of people and wipe out the tribe, then take over their territory? They may not have lived here long, but they must have brought a lot of food. We might as well just rob them."
Typical rogue animal thinking, Carlos is at it again, and Arthur is actually seriously considering this problem too.
The orcs following them looked bewildered. Advising them against it seemed wrong, but advising them to just rob it directly also didn't seem right. They decided to remain silent and follow orders.
The orcs, lying prone on the ground, immediately begged for mercy. The Crescent Moon tribe, after overcoming countless hardships, had finally reached the safe continent.
It's bad for their reputation to deliberately flee to the Forgotten Road, but it's better than being a wanderer. They all have a safe home now. How can they not be afraid of being wiped out? Not just them, but the entire tribe would be terrified.
"Please don't do this. What do you want to hear? What do you want to ask? I'll tell you everything without hiding anything."
"Yes, we did nothing wrong. We only glanced at them and didn't attack. To exterminate the entire clan is going too far."
"Please let us go, we know we were wrong."
Carlos glanced at it and casually asked
What race are you?
The orc didn't hesitate and blurted out, but Arthur beat him to it, jumping down from the treeāit was too obvious.
